I don’t know why this strategy seems like such a big mystery. They should’ve been doing this years ago. Russia is now fighting a war on multiple fronts, inside their own country for a change with the destruction happening to their own infrastructure. They will be forced to divert many resources that are inside of Ukraine right now to defending their own very long and very vulnerable homeland. As long as Russia thought that their own border was secure they could focus all of their energy on destroying everything indiscriminately inside of Ukraine. Bravo Ukraine bravo
They had restrictions on what they could use donated equipment for since NATO didn't want to escalate this into a nuclear war. Some of those restrictions have been removed since I think there is frustration this war is still ongoing.

@@MRoROBOTThey don't have enough people to hold territory. But they are taking away key assets like an ammunition depot and their oil storage and it make things very difficult for them. It's pretty simple. Ukraine changed the game. Putin had settled on a long, grinding war of attrition, where he throws wave after wave of cannon fodder against Ukrainian positions, gaining bits of ground here and there but making progress over the long haul. This is easy for a sociopath who places NO value on human life whatsoever (aside from their own).
Ukraine knows Russia is pouring everything they have into offense and very little into defense. Word has it that, as soon as the Ukrainians attacked, much of the conscripts -- poorly trained and equipped and merely maintaining a facade of staffing -- turned and ran.
Looks like Russia not only has the second best army in Ukraine, but now has the second best army in Russia!
Bingo. The only human life Putin values is his own. Honestly pretty sure he'd trade his daughters lives for his own, if it came down to it...
Pretty much all wrong.
The war has taken place most of the time along only a fraction of the whole border. Both sides guard the quite part with their least powerful units. Ukraine decided to use some of their best troops in this quiet region. That is why the thin screen of low grade Russian defenders were scattered.
WHY Ukraine is doing this is still unknown. The reasons are not simple, they are interesting to observe with an unbiased mind.
@@kurtwicklund8901 Pretty much all wrong. It's been consistently true that, whenever the Russians open a new offensive -- as they've done quite a few times now -- they meet stiff resistance from Ukrainian defenders. Not second-hand troops. In fact, the pattern of 'meat wave'/attrition/slow grind forward has been pretty consistent, REGARDLESS of where they've attacked.
On the other hand, whenever Ukrainians begin a new offensive (on far fewer occasions), they've made MUCH more significant gains: Kharkiv, Kherson, and even the river crossing took the Russians by surprise (though the gains were relatively minor). And now Kursk. Put more simply, the actual historical facts simply don't agree with you.
What was that you were saying about an "unbiased mind?"

"Ukraine launches 'massive' drone strike inside Russia" so let's "Convince It Forward" with Slava BOHU
The destroyed military convoy near Kursk had 14 trucks loaded with troops and ammunition, it was totally wiped out with the loss of 300-500 russian troops. Ukraine has taken a couple of hundred prisoners - most simply surrendered without a shot fired. They captured a couple of warehouses filled with ammunition, and are likely in control of a train line which provides military logistics to Belgorod and surrounds. ruSSia is moving large amounts of hardware from Belgorod to Kursk, leaving the Volchansk area, and condemning the 40 troops trapped in the aggregate plant to fend for themselves. Ukraine has taken more territory in the last few days than ruSSia has taken in more than three months where Ukraine has preserved resources while slowly bleeding territory, while ruSSia lost ~120K troops; >1100 tanks; >2300 APVs; >4500 artillery systems...and so on in the process. The drone strike in Lipetsk hit a military airfield with an ammunition store containing glide bombs - likely including FAB3000s. Several nearby towns had to be evacuated, and they had multiple very expensive fighter bombers plus a TU95 strategic bomber there at the time of the strike.
Better still, ruSSians near the border warned the command chain that Ukraine was doing a large buildup of some kind...but they discounted the risk. When you're part of a dictatorship, you only do what you're explicitly told to do. Ukraine has broken right through ruSSia's secondary defence lines and will use them if and when ruSSia attempts to dislodge them from the area.

But, Ukraine will have to work hard before being ready for EU or NATO membership.
@@truly-alive because that would be reckless and insane. It could provoke a nuclear conflict. We don't have the capability to defend against a nuclear attack. Plus, we have no obligation to Ukraine. Why would you want to send your children to war anyways? You want your children to fight injustice, send them to Africa. Why is Ukraine more important?
Russian military statements saying the attack has been repelled. Reminds me of Baghdad Bob.
*I think you mean snake oil Zelensky claiming "30,000 KIA" when the truth = at least 20X this.*
From what we’re seeing, I doubt if Russia 🇷🇺 really have nukes.!
Ukraine really has shown the world how powerful they are.
F around you will find out.
We already are
They for sure have a lot. How many are functional is unknown. Their military has shown to be in poor repair and tritium is very valuable to be scavenged.
Ignorant comment I ever read
Why does the media keep calling it incursion? Why not call it advancement into Russia.
I mean this is war.
😂😂😂😂
SLAVA UKRAINI!!!
The fact that Russia is being strapped for troops and equipment has been known for a while. The battle lines within Ukraine are hardened and difficult to attack by either side. The attack into Russian territory resulted in a massive expansion of the front lines including soft targets inside Russian. It will divert Russian resources away from the front lines in Ukraine, while eroding support for Putin. Russia apparently thought this was just a raid, and sent 1000 troops into the area to clear out the Ukrainian troops, and were completely wiped out by drones. Russia had no electronic warfare counter measures in place to prevent this, as all the support equipment was on the front in southern Ukraine.
This incursion was strategically brilliant, and tactically well executed.
😂😂😂😂
