When smoking in the house is not an option, I built a small office in my shop with books shelves and an electric fire place and other decor. Highly recommend.
I made myself a 360sqft office/theater/smoke room by finishing my basement. I have a 12in 550W 3,198 CFM Vevor fan for exhaust (exiting furthest from the door) and an 8 inch 40W 420 CFM intake fan (near the only door to help with directionality of the airflow). With hard flooring and leather furniture (no fabric anywhere in the room), and an air purifier that runs automatically every night, the smell is hardly perceivable by my family in the morning. I average 4-8 pipes daily, and host a pipe club with 6-10 guys from church who gather and smoke pipes and cigars for hours, which is the only time the system isn't overkill. My fans are on energy monitoring smart plugs and they consume a total of 100-150 kWh/month, so it's nice to have solar too.
I also purchased a couple small book shelves to store my pipes and tobacco. It is simple and easy to make "storage cubbies" for mason jars...I used the poster board used for making presentations to make mine.
Being the only briar-heater in the Black Hills, we get cold and windy winters here so it's been hard to find decent days for leaf-warming. I tried my shed a few weeks ago and realized I'd never smoked inside before. Smoke everywhere! I won't be trying that one again until we get a garage/shop built. Thanks for the tips, good sir.
Appreciate these tips! On the odd occasion that I have attempted to smoke in my home office (while my wife is out of town! 🤫), I’ve just open a couple of windows and got a fan moving the air out one of the windows - seems to have worked pretty well without any residual odor
Yup, I think most folks would be just surprised how little pipe smoke sticks around, especially when the consumption (in a home at least) is a few times a week or less.
We are renting and I can't smoke in the house or the garage apparently. For the coming winter and the rain thankfully there's a Lil tool shed in the back yard.I put a chair in there and it's got some shelves. It's is now dubbed sir Sean's smoke house!😅
@@TheSpurgeonPiper So I shouldn't have skipped the weatherstripping step. Seems the window and air purifier couldn't work fast enough and I had my wife's displeasure that evening. Lesson learned! 😅
Good Evening 😊 Awesome Video👌🏽 Praise the Lord 🙏🏽 im allowed to smoke in the house besides the bedroom 😉 Thanks for the chat & God Bless you 🙏🏽 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
"The universe tends to unfold itself as it should." I was telling my best friend and my brother last weekend that the attic space I have in my house that i am not using, I want to convert into a smoking/drinking room, speakeasy style with a top shelf bar, comfortable seating, writing tables, shelves of books, record player and vinyl, ventilation, etc. I don't want any TV or screens in there. I want to escape the modern world and go back to simpler times in there. I want good, thought provoking conversation to be had when in there or a place to dwell on my thoughts and write them down. It's an older house, built in 1890 with the original wood floors still in it upstairs. Now you drop this video series as a sign to me to do it. The only problem is getting stuff in there. The door is made for hobbits 😂
Sounds like an amazing idea! I actually kind of like the hobbit hole entrance 😂 almost like an escape into another world. Although, I can see it being problematic with moving furniture and such things.
I wish I had the extra room inside, unfortunately the wife has every room on lockdown lol, I’ll have to stick with the carport, but I’ve added plants, rugs, a projector, and speakers. At least I can catch a film and enjoy the outside air though I’d rather be inside - thanks for posting though

Nice alternative!

With the discount, I got the purifier and 2 pack filters for less than Amazon Prime! Thanks for the video.
Awesome. Hope they help!

First video I’ve seen talking about an actual affordable air purifier that isnt a 5-600 dollar rabbit air

I'm debating on some sort of "outdoor room". I'd like to stay dry, yet rainy days are my favorite to sit with the dogs and enjoy a smoke.
This was a timely post. I was just pondering how I could enjoy a bowl while working in my home office. Thank you for this video!
Happy to help

I use heavy door curtains and fabreeze 😁
Only thing I’d add, is that an exhaust fan above where you smoke is a great option if opening a window isn’t an option too.
Most definitely. I'd like to cover that in a follow up video, even though I don't have one at the moment!
Great video! Looking forward to part 2

You as well!
I use a three season porch with kerosene heaters in the winter

😂 sorry about your predicament!
Great tips🎉
Ah! The Stoßlüften method! The Germans will approve!
Do tell
I set my entire home as a pipe smoking house.
Hi, is this an advert or sponsored video?
This was more like how to get rid of the smell...not build a "cigar den"
