  • Here’s a rare beauty that was made in Great Britain in 1957. Singer Featherweight model 222-K. Precise and perfect is how I describe these little jewels. They’re hard to find and priced accordingly. If you find one for $2,000 or so, you’ve really hit the jackpot. (Video 134)

Having the drop feed feature will make your free motion embroidery a breeze.
It’s awesome that you’re in the neighborhood of it’s original birthplace.
I would love to visit that area. Others tell me it a great place to be.
Thanks for taking the time to add an inspiring comment. 😎👍🏼

Nice discovery. They’re going for around $3000 or more in my area, if you can find someone willing to sell it. Congratulations.

@@alakaolushola5556 it’s still state of the art and takes Singer, Schmetz, or any modern 15 x 1 needle.
Needle technology has advanced, but the needles are basically the same for every household machine out there.
Remember that the flat side installs to the left side, and it threads right to left, inside out.

i have one like this and don't have a way to search my serial number. also, the throat plate screw is so tight I can't turn it. any suggestions?

ISMACS.NET is the site where you can search your serial number for its year of origin.
I have an angle screwdriver that I use when the needle plate screws are too tight to loosen. They’re available at most hardware stores and they have an angled slotted screwdriver on one end and a phlllips screwdriver on the other end. Look for one that’s fine (thin) and not thick.
