i’m j curious, what’s different abt the methadone / addiction / drug systems in europe ? i’m on methadone n i live in the usa, i have to admit i would not b sober rn if i didnt have my mom to help me navigate the retarded system here. idk how tf they expect ppl to figure all this absolute bull shit out while they’re also withdrawing from fentanyl / heroin n also drugged up from the hospital meds ! crazy ass country i live in haha
Australia just put Buprenorphine on the PBS (pharmaceutical byback scheme )...costing a patient $7 for 30-60 days script..it used to be $50 a week no matter the dosage...
@@T3RM1N8R_1 oooo that’s so good ! my methadone used to cost me 85$ a week but my insurance is covering some of it now so i only pay 50$ a week rn. soon my insurance will b fully accepted so it’ll be free :)
I’m tired of having to drive 30 miles to get this just so I don’t od for a third time the other 2 times I quit breathing. I now have to work how am I going to get my methadone dose ? Why can’t the just prescribe a monthly dose a day script .it’s going to be real hard to get in to get my dose coming up . And if they are serious about keeping people alive the need to make methadone easier to get
I couldn’t drive 40 minutes every day to a program that punished me for oversleeping so I had to switch back to Suboxone even though methadone was a better medicine for me
But I couldn’t agree more of that medicine were more easily accessible. It would be helping my life more.
@@emilyannamandaI got a question. When you use this is it just like feeling normal again? Do you not feel any withdrawal or urge to use again? Or does the withdrawal go away but the urge stays their?
@@Bigsativa i’m on methadone, i have 4 months clean from fentanyl :) the methadone basically just gets rid of the withdraw, i take it to feel normal. it would take like 3 days of missed doses to actually feel sick tho, so it gives us addicts some form of normal life without being sick every day. it does get rid of cravings for me, im on a very low dose and ik some ppl need a pretty high dose to get rid of their cravings. ngl the first week ish of methadone you do get high off it. after 5 ish days the buzz stops n ur dose is leveled out (methadone is rlly lipophilic, so it likes to build up in ur fat, n one dose lasts abt 36 hrs, so ur first couple days u get high bc the methadone is building up in ur fat, eventually it levels out after a week ish n u stabilize) but yea i take it to feel normal, it completely got rid of all my cravings, i actually accidentally quit alc too bc i j don’t crave it. same w weed n nic i smoke way less now. its an amazing medicine n it has saved my life. i od on fentanyl on new year’s day. i didnt care it was killing me, n hour after i od i took more than i od on n was fine. it’s saved my life, n i wish that every addict had the opportunity to get on methadone. i went thru a whole box of 30 suboxone films tryna quit w that, it just made me sicker. methadone has saved my life n hopefully in a few months ill b off it too :)
ur clinic doesn’t do that ? i’m 4 months clean, i only go in to my clinic monday wednesday friday. after i pass my piss test this month i’ll go in once a week. after another month of clean piss tests i only go in once a month. i have to keep it in a lock box but yea, that’s
cheeks ur clinic don’t do that. like i’m traveling this weekend, my clinic just gave me a week of take homes to fly with so i didn’t have to worry about
Methadone has a morphine ""nucleus"". Or fragments of one , like oxidized ones such as anti-histamines(morphine Is pro-histamime). Obviously they change the nucleus ""back to"" it's opioid mechanics.
I say that because they say it's FULLY synthetic. Not really, respectfully.
Thank god that the UK provides free treatment of methadone and from your local pharmacy. The USA makes it super difficult for addicts to try become stable and detox.
It's unreal I pay 300 D a month just for the medicine That's not including all the gas going there 3 days a week but I'm titrating off now after 10 years I want my life back

Methadone is perfect for me in every way especially pain but I have to go to a methadone clinic every day for it and it takes FOREVER for the doctors to put me at a high dose
This country SUCKS
And since covid they give you weeks supply,so only one trip to pharmacy a week and 1 appointment for councilling
