Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, for Israel. Father God, Your word says that those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed. Since I first read this scripture as a young Christian girl in the Texas panhandle, I've kept this word in my heart. Now, in my 70's, I still pray for the people and for the land given to these people by God. May He protect her (Jerusalem) and may His righteous, holy judgment fall on those who would seek to destroy her.
And, yes...I am also praying for the hostages, both those still being held and those who are freed, but living with the horrendous trauma caused by their captivity. I pray for those in the IDF, those who have lost precious family members, and those who are suffering loss of property, of finances, of peaceful sleep.
