      @@UrbanOpsOffRoad I can’t get one of mine to go in all the way. I have Siberian Polly bushings. I even used a floor jack and my front bumper. Just don’t want to go lol.

    Thats what i came for... an idea for a situation where the press wont work and you do t have the bushing tools. Very clever!

      Yup! It does work. Just make sure you spray pb blaster or wd40 and heat it up so it becomes a smooth process. Obviously do this only on non rust compromised lower control arms.

    Fkn geniu, been struggling the last couple of days to push some bushings out and didn't think of doing this omw to buy a bottle jack lol

      Send it brother! Make sure you apply a bunch of heat and obviously don’t do this with extremely corroded parts.

      It’s simple, just take your time to soak them with pb blaster and make sure your lca it’s not compromised by rust. Once removed you’ll need a press to get the new ones in. I went for whiteline bushings 🤙🏻

      Regular c style press after the LCA was nice and warm. Wear gloves!

    Bottle jack worked but a h frame hydraulic press works better and I would think safer.

      Obviously you only do this on sound and rust free LCA. It is very safe if you are considering risk management and proper PPE. I USA and H frame 20 ton press to drive the Whiteline bushings in.

    Nice clean removal!
    I had to save the inner sleeves though so much more fire and thick black smoke was involved. Worst. Job. Ever.

      That’s smoke is the worst! I actually had to drill out and remove the rubber to use the sleeves as pressing tool for the Whiteline bushings. Thanks for the follow dude! Such a honor!

      What: removal of old LCA bushings. How: as you can tell by applying heat and pressure using the OEM jack that comes with the Tacoma. Why: to install new Whiteline bushings that provide full range of movement of the front suspension. Cheers my dude 🤙🏻

      Not a tool, it’s the Toyota factory jack and a blow torch from Walmart. The penetrant it’s on blaster. To set the new bushing you will need a press.

      Press, jack with the right size cups or manually depending on the style of the bushing being used.

    How long did you heat up the bushings for I plan on trying this tomorrow since I need to replace my LCA bushings as well and they didn’t budge with a bushing press

      About a minute or so, first give it a good coat of pb blaster and then put a little bit of pressure and then start the heating process and then crank that Jack 🤙🏻

      @@UrbanOpsOffRoad Watch the lubrication comparison video by Project Farm, PB BLaster actually sucks at doing what it's supposed to do. Great video, fixing to do my 95 FJ80 Landcruiser bushings so this is helpful.

      Brilliant, a comment with no facts to back up the statement. lol I’m on the west coast, no rust issues around here, plenty of heat and lubrication was used. Plus it’s a slow process. Slapped some whitelines and my LCA tabs are gusseted and guess what no alignment issues. Cheers buddy 🤙🏻
