Loved this gameplay, the first time I saw this game I was like “oh, a chill game and maybe a bit boring?” but then it gets more and more difficult with time and the story is very heavy too even if it’s mostly hinted at instead of being directly told. After WW2, Germany was divided and under the influence of two very different political ideologies. like berliner mauer, but this checkpoint can be passed through if you have the right paper. In case you didn't notice it, there are people trying to get through the border in order to reunited with their long-lost families after the war, some can't stand the inequality under capitalism thus run to communist country with hOpE, and political refugees who are flee from their motherland. it is all 👏✨ ️fiCtiOnAl ✨ fUn TiMe✨️👏GoOd hiStoRical ReFerEnCe ✨️
I couldn't help thinking of the real life references as I was born in the German Democratic Republic myself (more specific East-Berlin), that communistic country from which people tried to flee. You can still come and visit our Berliner Mauer. There is still a part of the border strip left that you can visit where many people lost their lifes trying to flee to the western part of the city. I haven't heard of any people from West Germany (Federal Republic of Germany) trying to get into East Germany because they were unhappy with the system though. The reunited Germany is now the Federal Republic of Germany. It has a social market economy, which is neither capitalistic nor communistic but something in between.

I remember how I was crying all over my history book in middle school, reading about all the diabolically evil crimes germans committed against millions of people during WWII, seeing the photo illustrations of concentration camps and mass graves. That was the most painful part of history. The concentration camps are also still there for visitors to remind us and we germans must remember the unimaginable pain we caused. I also got to visit one of those camps in middle school. Also watched countless documentaries since then. Must feel ashamed to come from such a nation of scum and lucky that Germany lost that war. Tbh, the black uniform asset reminded me of a uniform those german devils wore back then. Luckily it isn't though. It's just a black uniform and it's just my osheep, whom I recognize, playing a game and that I can enjoy. Listening to osheep is soothing for the soul.
