- This video is a tutorial on how to fix bi-pass closet doors when they come off of the track. These doors are located in the bedroom(s), the kitchen pantry, and the laundry rooms.
More details to follow...
these doors should have never been designed
Horrible design. Mine go off track for the bathroom door, and the whole thing is closed in so I literally have to rip stuff apart just to stick the damn door back on. Total sh8t design.
Fr I can't get mine back on lol
@@kyleehi4749 I’m trying this tomorrow and if I fail I’m buying curtains as closet doors lol
i agree
I agree they're garbage
Thank you! I live in an apartment where it's nearly impossible to get maintenance in to fix anything. I'm more of a "do it myself" kind of gal anyways and I can now say my closest is finally fixed!
Same!
That was great! Now I understand it. I have the same type of doors. I've been struggling to get them back on the track. I'm a 76 year old woman and may not be able to do it by myself, but now I have your video to show to someone if I can't manage it. Thank you!
This was helpful to me, especially the tip on the angle at which to hold the door, thank you! No more heavy door to lift/shove and prop up.
Yeah the angle one helped me, I was doing the straight up and down trying to get the wheels on the track
I usually call my dad for home repairs and quick fixes, he wasn't available. So thank you for filling in and helping out. I appreciate you! 😊
Thank you. Because of your tip to put the door at an angle, I was able to put my door back on track 😁.
SUCCESS!!!!! My wood flooring guy removed them and left them for me to reattach. (He had to because the floor needed to dry after being refinished and he wasn’t coming back just to reattach them). He said it’s easy but never told me about the 30 degree trick. I would have struggled forever with this and did for about 20 minutes. Then I found your video. They were back on in seconds. Thank you!
After banging into the door not only did it come off the track but went onto the track for the other door. I was totally puzzled on how to get it back on track. Your video helped me get it back on track. Thanks.
Struggled for a while then watched this video. Doors back on tracks and I can pop them off and on easy now. Thanks for sharing this video! Saved me a ton of frustration!
Thank you.....this video is 4 years old but it only took me 30 seconds to fix the problem.....Thank you.
The hero we didn’t know we needed. THANKS!!
I just wanna say thank you for posting this. My father is a master of procrastination and doesnt fix anything when it breaks in our home, leaving me to use youtube to try to get these things done.
I cant wait to move out.
This is the most correct and best video ever posted on UA-cam. I despise this door design. Never has a mor Ill conceived invention been brought forth out of the bowels of the infernal pit. Thank you so much for saving me hours and hours of work. Usually, I just remove these doors and hang up a curtain rod inside the closet that my kids can actually use, because curtains are much easier for a child to open than solid wood Precariously hanging deadly sticky doors that want to fall and crush you.
A+. I just used this to get my outside door back on the track. Been struggling for 30 mins. Thanks!
Didn’t go on quite as smoothly as yours but you did save me from smashing the damn doors to bits... I and my family thank you.
Great information. Now I can fix my door as it’s impossible to get a reliable handyman. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much sir! I'm in a wheelchair and couldn't figure this out, after a few tries I was able to do it!
Just wanna say....i watched your video and fixed my doors. And I am not particularly handy at all. You made it seem so easy even I could do it. In short....thank you. You rock.
Thank you for showing me all the ways I have been doing it wrong! I look forward to attempting the fix again. My wife had a fall last week and knocked both of the doors in the master bedroom off the track. I'm confident that I will be successful now.
The first thing I did when I bought my fixer house in San Diego was to remove all of those closet doors. One of them is serving as the top of my computer desk. The others are on top of rafters in the garage, with stuff stored on them. :-)
Thank you so much today I broke literally so many fixing up my room even though it’s St. Patrick’s Day and it supposed to be lucky but you help me fix my closet because I didn’t want to ask my dad I can’t believe this actually works
Thank you so much for this video. I kept trying the up and down method until I found this video. Very helpful!
Great video! It was so easy; took me 2 minutes to fix the door after watching this.
Spent the last 30 mins doing extacly what you said not to lol
Watched your video, got it done less than 5 mins 🤷🏻♀️😅 thank you
I have to come here and say thank you, because I fought with doors like this for 30mins because they seemed so basic. I finally gave up and decided to UA-cam it…. It was in a cramped office space and I never had the doors tilted back enough and my height adjustment was loose…
Thank you sir! You saved the day haha. I have the doors on the track now. All i have left is the bottom metal thing to change since the plastic middle thing broke. Im sure i could bring that to home depot someone will help out.
I almost did this, taking off the floor guide, but tried 1 more time standing inside the closet as that was my problem door & was lucky enough to get 1 wheel back on & a short struggle later the 2nd wheel on. I didn't have the space for that 30 degree angle so had to go straight up with door. :)
Thank you! This helped my husband and me with fixing this problem!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Mr. Jordan for this short DIY Video! Iwasthisclose to making things worse with that door!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much.
Incredibly helpful, thank you very much
Thank you for this video! Once I got the angle right it was easy peasy. Very helpful!
Informative, thank you. Please shoot your next video with your camera held sideways (landscape mode)!
How do they come off track without a screwdriver if you can’t get them back on without one?? It’s the work of the devil- black magic.
That was one of the last formulas that Einstein was working on before he passed 😔 even him nor anyone till this day has discovered why this happens 😮in some countries they call this one of the 8 wonders of the world 🤷♂️
My 11 year old was rearranging her room and “accidentally” took the door off, lol, thank you for this video, as I was going crazy trying to put it back on. These doors suck so bad.
Thank you! That’s all I needed to know. All these other videos…ugh. LOL
Thank you!! These closet doors are the worst

I was trying to put my dresser in my closet without struggling too much , this helped

What a life saver. Thank you!
Well explained, thank you.
Great diy video. Thank you!!
My girlfriend said I’d have to hire someone. Yeah right, thanks for the help boss ! 👍
You produced an excellent video. I do not understand why you chose to do it in portrait mode so detail is lost from over half the screen.
Just had this exact issue and this video was perfect
Watched multiple videos saying about the angle. Packaging for the parts says the same thing. Been trying to get the damn door attached for two days now with no success.
Thank you so much I really do appreciate this
So helpful, thank you!
Thanks!!!!! Gonna try to fix it now
Thank you. You saved the day.
Thanks Dad (this is actually my dad) 😎
Ok lol tell him thank you if it’s really your dad
Thanks so much! This video helped me fix it!!
I might have seen this video a little later than other people but i swear without this video I would not be able to live because this happens so offten 😂

I never knew there was an adjustment on the back. Our issue it is hits the follow then it pops out.
Mine have some sort of track at the bottom too
Very helpful!
Thank you! 🎉🎉
I have bypass doors and my front door swings out into the room. Is there a way to fix that?
You are a God, thank you so much
Thank you sooooooooo much
This would work if it was my front sliding door but the back sliding door is the one that came off and I can’t put it up there and go because the front sliding door gets in the way
Thank u so much
Thank you
Thank you so much!
God bless you!!!
Wow! Thank u sir!!!
saved me from a beating lmaooo
What if you don’t have a screw driver
The screws are too tight. This sucks. Thanks for the only helpful video though. At least I know what I could do if I had the strength of the man who screwed these in.
I 'am 75 years old n unstable and i was getting out of my PJs n i bumped the door now what do I do? So thank you I got this , my wife will love me.
Thank you sir...i finally fixed the door 1 year later without paying someone
Incredibly helpful, thank you very much
Thank you! I struggled with this door for about 30 minutes and then found your video and fixed it within a minute! The angle was everything! I was about to pay a handyman. So glad I found your video! 🙏
Imagine paying someone to do this for you??? Thank goodness for UA-cam 😄
Ahaha I did the EXACT SAME THING
SAME HERE! AJAJAJJAJA
@vintageliving100 - I must've grabbed your shoes and repeated your entire ordeal, to a T! I finally stepped away and did a search. This video was short and to the point - I am so glad this guy posted it!
I’m a 25 year old man and I just spent upwards of an hour trying to fix my closet door at 3am. And you know what? $&@k it. I’m ripping them off and getting a sheet to hang where the door should be.
Instructions unclear. Ended up in the dishwasher.
Who the hell are those 8 people who didn’t like this! Wow this task was so difficult and yet thanks to you so easy to get it done. Thank you.
Simple, to the point video that even I, a novice handy (wo)man can even do! This problem has been bothering me for about three years and I just now looked up how to do it because I have been doing other projects and such...And now, I think I'll FINALLY stop the unneeded aggravation! You are a SAINT for this! Thank you!
You, sir, are a true king. I’ve had this issue with every closet in every home I’ve ever lived in, including currently. I definitely gotta try this!! Thank you.
THANK YOU! I was trying and trying to fix the closet door...now I realize I need to use my drill & take the guide off first, take the outer door off then the inner door (the one with the problem). I really appreciate you posting this - especially bc I'm a single Mom with no one else to help me. Merry Christmas!
OMG do you know I was going to pay someone to fix this??? I knew the door needed to be tilted and I figured the bottom piece needed to come off. I’ll be doing this MYSELF first thing in the morning. THANKS SO MUCH!!!
I’ve been putting this off for months Thank you dad
Thank you so much for sharing this. I wrestled with the door for 30 minutes and after watching this video fixed it in less than 5 minutes. Thank you again!
Him: don’t try re attaching it standing up and down
Me: ok well I’m going to do it anyways
Me 5 mins later: we’ll look at that just call me bob the builder
Thank you Andy! They key step I needed was removing the dohicky on the floor - now fixed! (finally)
Great job on this video! I’ve been fighting with my door for too long and this video saved its life because I was going to destroy it. 😆
Thank you this has been the best video on explaining how to put back your sliding closet 🚪
