Wish I’d been able to go! You’ve had a fabulous time. Hedgerow Fibres are simply wonderful!!! Please have a look and enjoy. Love how their parcels always feel as though they have been so carefully presented and parcelled for you making them so individual.
I can't believe I didn't notice the yarn hanging there! I've always wanted some but never realised it was there until I edited the video! The curse of being behind the camera! 😂 I will definitely buy some from her soon. Xx
Thank you, Kelly, for this guide to the North East Yarn Show, here in the NE. I wished I could have attended but, as I suffer from severe social anxiety, like you partner, I have been unable to attend Your guide and links to the sellers have been particularily helpful so I will check out those I am interested in!
I'm so sorry you were unable to go Tracy, but I'm glad you could get to see what it was like through the video and also find some new vendors you enjoy xx
Really enjoyed that, thank you for showing us around and sharing a bit of the fun! I went to the Cumbria Wool Gathering earlier in the year and there were quite a few of the same stalls so i was reliving that a bit 😅 Also, so pleased you bought some the Nervus Fibre's Salt colourway! I saw it on her SADvent and as soon as she opened general orders for it I ordered a skein 😂 I honestly think it's the most beautiful yarn I've ever seen! Hope you enjoy knitting yours up 😄
I'm so glad you enjoyed it and I think you're right, Salt is the most beautiful yarn! There was no way I was resisting it! I'm glad the video brought back some happy memories of Cumbria Wool Gathering for you!
Thanks, that was quite some nice windowshopping for me ! Lovely to see all that yarn... I've been to two local yarns shows, way back, and though I love it, I also find it complicated somehow, especially if it's a bigger one. It was quite overwhelming, and I felt like I should view everything first, and at the same time not wait with buying, for otherwise it might be gone... I really love your acquisitions ! Especially the blue/purple skein with the pink speckles. Can't wait to see your exploration station knit up, with those yarns it will be lovely !
They are very overwhelming places. I don't think it matters how many you've been to either. I totally understand that feeling of wanting to look around first, but not wanting to lose out on something. I would like yo gilm it all and then go back to shop, because I miss a lot when I film. But you guys like these videos so I'll put up with it 😂 I'm glad you like my acquisitions. Hopefully I'll cast on exploration station soon 🤞🏻 xx
I'm watching - I told you I would start :) It was great to see around the show again. So may beautiful skeins I missed and stalls that we didn't get into cause they were too busy and we forgot to go back. Thanks for this!
Yay! Lovely to have you here and so hood to meet you in person. I know, there were a lot of stalls I wish I'd gone back to. It's funny how you just forget about them. I definitely blame the overwhelm. Xx
Hi Kelly, This was so enjoyable and I can quite understand the feeling of being overwhelmed! I thought you did a great job taking us with you and making some great purchases😊 I live in Tasmania, the little island state of Australia, and we only have a population of just over half a million so a once a year craft show is our limit - unless we go to the mainland by plane or an overnight ferry which I need to drive 3 hours just to get to. So if I ever make another trip to the UK - fingers crossed, going to a yarn show is a top priority!!
Oh it IS awkward for you isn't it! My lovely friend in New Zealand has the same sort of problem. I do hope you can get to a yarn show one day though. But yes! So much overwhelm! I'm glad you enjoyed the video xx
Hi Kelly 👋, thank you for sharing the North East show, it was fantastic. I love your acquisitions, they are all beautiful. I will also be wandering around Yarndale so it would be great to see you and say hi in person. Take care 😊
What a fun day!!! Thanks for sharing with those of us who couldn’t meet up with you. 😉. FWIW the recycled plastic bottle yarn I used is VERY warm…it doesn’t breath at all. 😅. The kind I used was from Michael’s craft store and was a bit splitty, too.
You are welcome! Although I REALLY wish you could have been there in person with us 🥰 Ahhh OK! That's interesting. I was so interested in the dark ball for a jumper. It might make a great winter woolly. But splitty is 😕
It was great to see it all again I definitely missed things , I’m drawn like a magpie to anything bright and sparkly but really have enough of those colours . I tried to buy from people I hadn’t seen before .It was a great show I would definitely go again it’s a couple of hours away from me but I would be tempted to make a weekend of it , Sunday was quieter blue fern yarns was listed as being there but definitely wasn’t I love her yarn.
My friends, Ange and Diane went for the full weekend. I think I'd like to do that next time as well. There was just so much to see. I think I'd also film one day and then not film the next. That way I get to see things better. I hears that Blue Fern yarns pulled out at the last minute, so we didn't miss her, she definitely wasn't there. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and would go back. Are you at yarndale this year?
You missed a trick pointing out the gorgeous shawl modelled by Emma was your very own Bated Breath Shawl, so she should never have replaced it with that shrug 🤣🤣
That was so funny! Me and Emma avoided her the rest of the day. She was saying "well instead of wearing that shawl, you could have this lovely shrug" and I was thinking, I know I'm biased because the shawl is my design, but there's no way that shrug is prettier than that shawl 🤣 It was so good to meet you. We must do it again! Xx
Sorry. I was getting bashed about a lot at this show and was moving my camera out of the way of people as well, so it didn't get damaged. It can be tricky to film in these places. I'll try to slow down next time, if it's possible.

You move the camera too fast makes me quite dizzy!
