Hello and welcome back to another episode of Super Kit & Krysta 64. Today, we're super duper excited to go to the arcade! Yes, you heard us right, the arcade or better known these days to the cool kids at the BARCADE. It's so interesting that arcades that we went to as kids like Nickel City or Golf Land or pizza places are sort of a thing of the past and now these arcades machines are mostly in places more geared toward adults. There are two really fun/famous barcades in San Francisco that we're going to check out today. We're hoping to find some arcade games that we loved as kids and see if they still exist today. Let us know if you have any barcades in your area or if there are arcade games that you miss/love. Thanks for watching and we'll see you soon!

Ok Kit and Krysta are killing it. This is such a 1990's throwback.
Man, I have not been to an arcade since middle school.
Kit and Krysta, you two are slowly becoming the "Nostalgia Channel" for my childhood highlights, and I just want to say thank you for that☺️
Yes totally join the Smash Tournament! That would be fun to watch!
It's so cool the machines are still in use. Don't think there's any arcades in my country any longer. Love the mechanical sounds from buttons and sticks :)
i just love you two so wholesome and just plain fun
Metal Slug, Bubble Bobble, and Marvel vs Capcom were always the arcade games that I gravitated towards 😃
The music this episode was so good!!!!
Killer Queen is my absolute favorite game of the last decade!
Man this is a Nostalgia memory lane for me because as a kid when I want to play in arcade specially the Neo Geo Arcade games I usually go with my friends and I remember playing with a buddy of mine who is really good at fighting games specifically on Mortal Kombat 2 Killer Instinct Super Street Fighter 2 and you name it and because of him I was like I need to get better at those games sure I had those games that I mentioned on my beloved snes but I always felt the arcade version of those games are way more competitive and exciting than the home console versions. Those were the times my friends the good old memories in the arcade.
The retrowave music!!! Delightful!!!!!
Looks like a fun place reminds me of the "Barcade" style places on the east coast
Best. Vlog. Ever.
If I had my own Arcade I will have every arcade machine that's Mario and Sonic related now that would be brilliant and fantastic. ❤😁💙
Nice to see those 2 places are still vibing. I used to go to those 2 places back when the Detour was known as Brewcade.
Video games and drag shows, my 2 fav things
If you're ever in Vegas visit the pinball hall of fame. They have a ton of old pinball machines they keep in good condition as well as a decent amount of old arcade machines. I think you guys would really like it.
An Arcade in your town has Mario Kart Arcade GP DX! You guys are so lucky! I would love to go to an Arcade with you guys!
I love your vlogs! Would love to see you guys do that casual smash tourny I feel like you guys would have a fun time and would make for another great vlog!
Love that Drag Bingo is just happening in the background during this vid!! 🙌 I wonder if Nintendo would have approved this for Nintendo Minute? 🤣
Imagine if they went during the Drag Race viewing party. The screaming wouldn't have let them record lol
Where I grew up the Pizzeria I went to had that same Simpsons game. I remember me and my brother trying to get as far as we could every visit. Thank you for unlocking such good memories.
I had to watch this twice back to back. So good.
I’ve never been to arcades back at those days but I encountered them twice at gaming conventions. I appreciated Pengo, Space Invaders, Galaga, Galaxian, and Ms. Pac Man. Pengo, I only played in a real arcade cabinet. The rest however was in those mini arcade machines or a virtual console.
I love your Super Mario World power ups hoodie, Krysta!❤
Wow, I can't believe that last place had both T2 pinball and Star Trek: The Next Generation! Both my favorites! BTW, that Mario Kart looked amazing!
I love watching you guys. From Nintendo to your channel, you guys rock. Thank You for the cool content!
Thank you!!
I love pinball. I fix pinball machines 😃 I'm actually in the process of restoring a Goldeneye machine right now. (Sega)
visiting an arcade with beez in the trap playing in the background is peak
Running it back to the good old times! Glad to know there are some old arcade games out there still. This is childhood memory lane. Galaga is still something I remember with arcade games. That was fun to watch.
I have such a clear memory of getting covid at Emporium 1 year ago for my birthday. Really takes me back guys 😭
Stay safe out there everyone
Its awesome to see arcade machines are still around in some form, my first taste of them was when i was a teen, here in the UK they were in places like bowling allys 😄
I love these kinds of vlogs, keep it up you two! 💙
I loved the 90s arcade experiences with classmates, we brought tons of 10 kronor coins (like 1 dollar in USA currency) and our favorite daytona, sega rally and house of the dead kept us poor :)
I’m a bit to young for this Arcade era but I still liked this video 😄👍
I love this kind of video 😭❤ hope you can do more of these and share with us ❤
That was really fun to watch. Arcades still being around in some capacity in 2023 is definitely cool. 😁 Nice video!
I appreciate you made sure to have yourselves in frame during the game. I've seen the games I come here to see you lol
great video!
Man, I miss arcades. Fighting games, beatem ups and light gun shooters were the holy trinity for my friends and I back in the day. Some of my favorites were anything street fighter and marvel (especially marvel super heroes), killer instinct, alien vs predator, dungeons and dragons shadows over mystara, house of the dead, time crisis and point blank. Great times! Edit: can't forget the Turtles beatem ups!
Amazing Vlog🤩
Personally I love arcades.
It looked like you enjoyed your dinner break, that food looked good🥂
Anyway, looks like you had a good time, guys. Great job on this video👍👍
I simply loved the Mario Kart console 😇
I miss the old arcade days. I loved playing Donkey Kong, Crazy Climber, Defender, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and many more. My friends and I would go during our spares at school. The good old days.
musee mecanique has a simpson's arcade too! they have a lot of great arcade games shoved in the back, if you want a less alcoholic arcade experience here
5:22 Richard Divizio and Carlos Pesina, yas! *Puts on giant, nerd glasses* If that is Quan Chi on the cover that is MK4, not MK3.
8:22 I love how they quickly switched places. Can't do that with online-only.
13:44 How has this face not been used in a thumbnail yet?
I stopped by detour when I visited San Francisco last year. Such a fun place! Wish we had something similar here in Florida.
Early Switch digital game TumbleSeed is based on Ice Cold Beer.
I should see if there’s any arcade bars in my area besides Dave and Busters.
I love how they have Kung Pow playing on the projector in the second location. Even more nostalgia there.
I’ve been to the emporium a few times, never heard of this place will have to check it out.
I missed nintendo minute and im crying rn
We had a small mini golf course and it had one arcade game, and I think it was Galaga
Great vlog! I felt the nostalgia overload with some of these arcade games. It's great to see there are still classic arcade machines around the world!
It’s very nice to see there are still some good arcades out there. And there have selection seems really good too
The water being on the right side of the map of San Francisco freaks me out.
I love arcade game i play in shopping mall call MBK in Thailand
I love this kind of content, along with the retro gaming shopping spree you did the other week
Hello, Kit Ellis and Krysta Yang.
I'm going to watch the video later when I have the chance, but there's something I want to say. The video arcade machines is one of the reasons why I want to pursue a lifestyle in the United States, both personally and professionally. I'm from Canada, and while I do lose a few serenities on doing so, I do think I would build a successful lifestyle there.
I'm still looking for a job and have been searching for seven months already, and to be transparent, I'm changing careers. I used to be a software engineer, and I found out the hard way it's actually not right for me anymore. I must find a career coach once I settle on a job to support myself, and take some career personality tests to find out what discipline I should pursue the most.
In addition, I need to find another mechanism of immigration, as the one I had when I was in NYC last year won't work for me anymore.
Some personal thoughts I'd like to share too.
- In 2017, I saw the both of you in a Nintendo Minute Name That Song video, and I had hopes and aspirations of actually getting a Nintendo Switch development kit to work on a game, and getting your attention.
- It's been almost five years since I played games on my Nintendo Switch. While I managed to pay back all of my student loans and slowly making my way to leaving Quebec for good, my biggest stressor right now is finding work.
- I really miss going to video game conventions and I want to go again. The last one I've been to was in September 2013 at the Montreal ComicCon. I was in jealously and discouragement when I saw Emile Rosales-Birou (Chuggaaconroy) attend PAX West and came across the Splatoon 3 Launch Setup.
- I visited Nintendo NYC three times last year and it's something I'll never forget for the rest of my life. 😭
- Doug Bowser from Nintendo actually viewed my LinkedIn profile back in November 2022. I was in shock.
- I do want to be a patron and support you folks, but with my job search struggles, I need to fix that first.
- I am not in a position yet to watch The New Super Mario Bros. Movie in April and visit Super Nintendo World in Hollywood; I feel very bad for not having another job in the United States yet.
I would so appreciate following you folks as long as I don't catch some serious spoilers about Nintendo Switch games I haven't played yet, especially Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Splatoon 3, Breath of the Wild, and so on!!
Thank you for taking your sweet time to read this, and I look forward to your replies!!

I still need the Smash tournament video lol. Great Video!
Aww arcades. Memories of playing injustice, streetfighter, fruit ninja, pac man, luigis mansion etc at Dave and busters
Krysta being so short, I felt that in my soul :(
I kiiiiiinda love this.
This looks like it was so much fun. I’m actually a little jealous. I grew up in a small town. When I say a small town, we’re talking 4000-4500 people. Fortunately, on the other side of the river was a city that had a mall with an arcade which I would frequent. I would play Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 1 and 2, Rampage, Pac-man, the Simpsons, The Avengers, and TMNT.
So cool you guys went to the arcade, it looks awesome! That Mortal Kombat cabinet with Quan Chi on the side staring at you is so funny haha
I love the music throughout this vlog!!! I felt really happy but also wistful, because the one barcade close enough to me is "moving", and idk where yet!! doesn't even matter where, it was already it the perfect location-- connected with a grilled cheese place. But if I get to San Francisco I'll have some places to check out. And you should enter that SSBU tourney!!! :D :D :D
sorry for another long one but omg my NERD FEELINGS-- I'm the opposite of sorts from you; there were never any arcades near me as a kid, so I discovered arcades, and barcades, as an adult after hearing about them for years. I find it really funny you never played Mario Kart arcade ver.! The drift is really weird, something about stomping the brake and turning the wheel hard at the same time. I like street fighter also, but have always been too wimpy for Mortal Kombat (the old main theme slaps though).
The part I liked best was when you both tried pinball!! I've LOVED pinball since I was a kid and had some kind of mini/tabletop battery-run pinball that I played until it literally broke. but see the lack of arcades lol. Finally started playing casually and competitively for the last 4 years-ish, now i'm a huge pinball nerd~ I paused the video to see the machines earlier and I've played all of them at least once, at places around my state and a couple states over (Attack From Mars!! My first pinball since I got back into it!!!). I'm not a master or anything but I definitely could show you the basics ehehe. Krysta did a cool move by accident at 10:43-- the ball rolled from one flipper to the other! You have potential ^_^ Kit's not wrong though, pinball can be quite silly! There's a Simpsons pinball machine that Krysta might be interested in, and one of my favs at the barcades that's moving used to be the Gottlieb Super Mario machine, though it wasn't there for long. Also, the machine that was out of order was The Addams family, one of the most popular pinball machines of all time, so. that tracks. ^w^
truly amazing
Real gems of machines
I'm glad, there's no music, based off of, copyright..
Love your hoodie, Krysta! Very stylish.
Yes! Enter the smash tournament!
theres a barcade in my downtown area but it's not as big as either of the ones you two went to
I wish there was an app for arcades and arcade games. Not emulation but just where to find certain games on a map
The first arcade looks amazing and very queer-friendly with the drag bingo and the Drag Race viewing parties!!! I wish I lived in SF 😭😭
Pinball is not silly!
I didn't like this video....I LOVED this video!! ;) Took me back to my arcade gaming days (I haven't been to an arcade in decades). Hope to visit one of these one day. Yes, please make more of these videos. THANK YOU for the trip down memory lane! :)
More content like this please
This was great.
I wish Nintendo would re-release that Mario Kart arcade game. Looks fun!
Yes please, go to smash tournament
Man, that was a epic time, huh?
We're "boomers" (not really)... those pesky oldies and their penny arcade machines hahaha :( Yes... the Simpsons Arcade is legendary for Gen-X/Xennials. I also loved the Aliens arcade game (based on the movie)... Cruis'n series of arcade games, Street Fighter II (any of them), Mortal Kombat trilogy
No offence Kit. But Street Fighter Alpha 3 & 3rd Strike are regarded as some of the greatest Fighting games of all time. Street Fighter 3rd Strike is always voted as the best fighting game of all time.
Killer Queen!
Please enter the Smash tournament lol
I always wanted to start my own Bar Arcade but my area's laws on establishments that serve alcohol is stupid.
The individuals that was lucky enough to do just a bar and nothing else is lucky cause their grandfather in.
I miss token arcades. Its all cards now a days :/
rad!
Polybius
That’s MK4 not 3
Dedotated Wam?
