    Kia ora, Tena koe e hine me o korero. If people were half as passionate as you are about your culture, what a beautiful world indeed this would be!!! Having that said, all the encouragement I am able to give you from Aotearoa here....is to never give up on the dream, the hope, that all will come to pass. This speech should be heard in all corners of Hawai'i even some corners of the world!!! Good on you. Nga Mihi Nui

    Mahalo nui loa, my sister. Our people who live as long as our language does. With a language that was made forbidden, we will shout until it can be heard again. I speak Hawaiian not to hear myself, but to hear the language of my ancestors before me and the language of the islands that raised me. Aloha wau iā 'oe!!

    Try study before you start saying dumb things? It'll save a lot of people the anger. If you actually knew what you were talking about, you would know that they DID stand up and fight. They fought until they couldn't fight any longer. They fought even when they knew they were overpowered. They fought.

    Was it being "stupid", or was it a cultural difference between Hawai'ian and US American cultures? Maybe you should learn about your own position and what you are willing to do for you and your fellow people.

  • @christopherreilly5339

    Should have fought harder.

    • @rebelcharlie
      @rebelcharlie 8 років тому

      Should have fought harder, with what? Same thing happened to Puerto Rico, right after we had received our letter of autonomy from Spain, we were invaded that same year by the expanding US under the manifest destiny doctrine. Now we have the PROMESA Junta imposed on us by the president and Congress. But we enjoy liberty...
