HOW TO REMOVE THIRD ROW SEATS WALKTHROUGH - 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER XLE

I walk through how to remove the third row of a 3rd generation 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE.
If you want more cargo space or want to make a build out for car camping, this video will show you how to do it.
All you need is:
- Car Panel Trim remover set (any will do, I picked up a 5 piece set from harbor freight for less than $10)
- 10mm socket wrench
- 14mm socket wrench
- a vacuum to clean up the dirt you find

Hi Matt, great video. What ended up happening after you detached the electronic seat cables, I assume those cables are for weight detection and seatbelt connection. Did you end up removing your center seats as well. Do you get constant beeping/alerts after detaching the electronic cables? Thanks

I removed my middle captain chairs and had to unclip harness as well. Nothing happened, no beep. The car doesn’t register those seats anymore so I’m guessing the airbags in that area won’t deploy in a hit.

does the battery need to be disconnected while removing the seats?, since there are electrical cables that need to be disconnected
