I've been putting some road miles on my LS3 type 65 coupe and because our radiators are lower than the steam port for the heads you should look into a coolant burp tank/pressure tank. Trying to run a standard radiator cap setup was giving me a lot of problems because the fluid would grow, after talking with a bunch of LS guys that's the route they told me I should take and it's been working flawlessly

Change to a corvette intake. They are reasonable used and easy to find because lots of people upgrade to Fast or other aftermarket ones.

You will have tune issues if you keep the MAF that close to the throttle body. Not sure if that's temporary or not.
