His clinch work is so crucial. He’s also got a very good sense of where the ref is. He will clinch on the side the ref can’t see. This tricks his opponent into thinking a break is imminent which drops their guard meanwhile on the side the ref can see he keeps his hand free to so the ref thinks they are working out and he’s free to strike. He’s hurt many guys with sneaky shots like that. Froch was totally undone by this one tactic

As canelo would say …take it easy my friend….golota bowe were flagrant low blows …ward kovalev 2 body shots was an executed strategy extending from the first fight….before the finishing body shots, Kovalev was rocked by a shot upstairs which lead to him abandoning his guard inside and slumped over open for the body shots.

@@PUGiLLiZM ward was good I’m actually not taking anything away from him believe it or not it just bugs me how people want to make this man out to be something that he’s not the truth of the matter is he was good back in the day sure Idk about now since truthfully he’s already wasted away his best years after retiring so early in his career at age 32 I believe but before retirement he was dominating up until facing kovolev he struggled in both fights all you have to do is go back and watch the fights to see what I’m saying is true especially in the 2nd fight where ward was landing intentional low blows the entire fight without any kind of warning or anything at all

@@PUGiLLiZM then after kovolev he got out before the younger hungrier up and comers could challenge him like bivol, beterbiev, and all the others as well I’m not speaking from hate, racism, making up fake biased bs, or anything like that I’m just speaking straight up facts I respect everyone who shows respect back especially to all of these fighters willing to risk their lives stepping into the ring to entertain us all I’m saying is keep same energy and keep things 💯 we need to keep these boxers to a higher standard and the same standards instead of only certain ones I like plenty of fighters like canelo, crawford, plant, loma, Stevenson and others but I’m not gonna give them a pass patting them on the ass whenever they aren’t doing whatever they need to be doing that shots not gonna fly with me

@angelgarza3981 wards hit grab strategies didn't work for plant vs Benavides plant has no stamina. Ward is a alltime great the first fight with krusher is close could go either way. 2nd fight he beat that man's body like a drum krusher wasn't Winning and it wasn't even close. Yes he is one of our kings who is yours?
