Like your route since I'll be doing this circuit with my family end May this year. Pls tell me the return route from Manali to delhi comfortably. Bcse while going up all timings are not more than 4 to 5 hrs. Which is very comfortable for us.

I am planning for a family trip this July. I will be driving from Pune. I have Vitara Brezza. Is it advisable to drive Brezza in this area? Is i more tough then going to Leh? I am asking because in 2017 I went to Leh, Nubra, Pangong by Brezza. My route was srinagar-Kargil, Leh-Nubra-Pangong-Sarchu-Manali.
Spiti is definately more tougher than leh, considering the roads are not in very good shape as Leh. Even though Vitara is front wheel driven SUV, I dont think you should have issues with the car. Locals use Alto 800 for commute, Brezza should pass with flying colors. Driving wise if you have done Leh before, then i think you will do fine with the narrow roads of Spiti. So overall No concerns.

I want to go solo with my self drive swift vdi car from kolkata to sarahan, kaza,keylong, leh, turtuk, kargil, Srinagar, jammu and back to kolkata. I have no time limit. I think I will sleep in my car to save money.

If i travel Spiti from Shimla in September, then Kunzum pass, Rothang pass and Chandratal camping onen that time?
That time going shimla- spiti- kaza- kunzum- chandratal - rothang pass - manali, need any special permission for foreigners?
Yes, camping on Chandrataal lake and Kunzum & Rohtang pass will be open during the month of Sept.
No, there are no special permissions required for foreigners. Your passports and visa validity will be checked on police checkposts like Akpa and Losar.

Hotel booking is not needed. You can get the hotels on arrival + you can also bargain the rates

Are there any chances of the Manali to Kaza route being open in October 15-20.
Local tour agencies say that it will remain open, whereas in most of the online sites and in your video too, it said the route remain open till September.
We plan to avail public transport.
It will be open during early october, can't gurantee though.
It will be open if you go by private vehicle till 15th Nov by public transport it will be closed by 15th oct..it is very much possible although difficulty level might increase

Thanks for the plan. We intend to visit this place as per your plan. But as per this plan will we have to drive after about 8 pm if we are going by bike. And which all places ATMs are available?!
Akshay Gopan you will find ATM's @ shimla, recong peo which is on the way when you travel from chitkul to nako, Tabo, Kaza and Manali. I would still suggest you to carry enough cash. You willl not find ATM'S @ CHITKUL and chandratal. You might only need to ride more to reach from chitkul to tabo, since distance is around 250 kms and roads are in really bad shape. If you need hotel bookings and backup vehicle, mechanic etc. let me know we can arrange.

Himachal is best place for backpackers, you will find homestays & guesthouses starting from 350 to 500 per night. Check on hostelworld.com, booking.com and goibibo. If you don't find anything you can go and check with locals. There are multiple options available

Bilkul ja sakte hai, koi taklif nahi hai. Sirf 250 rs vali 1 oxygen ki bottle rakhna sath me agar saas ki taklif hui toh. Dilli me gadi ka toh mujhe bhi nahi pata.

Yes, thats doable. You can start from Manali. Just keep in mind that Manali to Kaza is a treacherous road. Have someone for a company there are big water crossings on the way.

Yes, I did it using public transport only.
Go to ISBT bus station in Delhi you will get bus for rampur-bushahr from there.
Or if you start from chandigarh there is direct bus for reckong peo.

Depends on your choice of stays. Travelling by public transport should not cost you more than 3000₹. If you choose homestays you will be charged 500-600/night.
Which strech is the most difficult in shimla pin valley route
Most difficult is Kaza to manali via Kunzum la, second most difficult is sangla valley to nako.

Not possible in April since the road is closed. And anyway same day return wont be possible

Bro.. how long does it take to start your trip from Shimla to kaza and end in Manali , though your are ready to miss many places on the way? And how long can u ride the maximum kms in those places a day?
U can complete this trip in 3 days if u wish to, but then u'll only be riding bike and not be able enjoy and see places.

Yes, its already open. Just make sure to leave very early in the morning because once the sun comes up water level in nallas increases

Is it ok to take 8 year kid to spiti road trip?
Yes, its absolutely fine. There are human settlements people of all ages live there. You will be climbing the distance gradually so by the time you reach Kaza you are very well acclimatised. No need to worry!

Its safe. The only problem is with roads so plan your day accordingly and leave early.
