- In this video i will be teaching you how to change your old orange looking halogen bulbs to a more brighter white light LED, which will also last longer too. These bulbs do cause a bulb out error but it doesn't bother me too much as the onboard canbus works fine which means the lights dont flicker at all only thing is the error stays on but that is fine it doesn't bother me.

Just order canbus resistor for the bulb type so for example H7 Canbus resistor usually a fiver put them in and they shouldnt give error anymore

I have not done the LED conversion yet. It is tempting. Did you return the first set with wire? I think those were for BMW.

@@mahmoodrahman1288 no they are same bulbs, like i said the first link before was cheaper poor quality bulb but i updated the first link to new bulbs so both links are good bulbs now

Yeah thats the plug and play one with good beam pattern and brightness, the ones i originally used in the video were pretty terrible kept burning out within one or two months and the beam pattern was more scattered more like a fog light, so i updated the link to the second pair of leds i put in which are amazing plug and play and still working to this day years after

Yeah bro they the new bulbs, the ones used in the video are fog bulbs not very bright or good they burnt out within 2 months, the one linked is the proper one thats made for the car very powerful and good beam pattern
Better take of this protection cap for electronics on the right side, and the air intake box if you go to change h15 bulbs also. It give you more space and much more easier to do it. And they're totally not rare you can buy them everywhere. But look very good nice video

The link for the high beam lights, is that the same for low beam also? Or are the completely separate lights i need to buy dude?
High Beam is different to low beam, high beam uses H15 bulb, Low Beam uses H7 Bulb. H15 bulb is a lot skinnier but easier to fit
@@MrWaheedulHaque ah right yea. Just confused with all different 1s ha, so if i just search ebay/amazon for H7 leds i will be ok?
@@Sam-tw2sr yes H7 LED for the low beam, and search H15 LED for high beam
But i think the low beams you might struggle a bit to fit them as i had to get custom mk6 golf ones

do you know why there is a bulb error, will it cause a bulb error for my mk6 match
Canbus cant decode it properly, but it does its job so that the lights dont flicker which is good, it most likely will have that issue with most bulbs you need to buy a resistor and put it in the bulb and then bulb out error wont be a issue

Not very long, you see they are actually more made for fog lights but the company labeled them as for low beam too but they just can't be, they very slightly more powerful than halogen but the beam pattern is non existant so makes them useless, the lights you need to get are these

They direct fit for the golf and powerful have good beam pattern and still going strong nearly 4 years later haha, i done a video on it on my channel its called fan vs fanless mk6 golf led type that on youtube it should come up

Yo bro, for the first set of LED bulbs you bought there’s a LED/HID mk6 bulb holder available.
Can you show me it, but how would it get power as its a pin design not wired
If you see on my video the holders hve the pins with a wire attached which plug into the connector of the LED bulbs.

Yes but can switch off cold diagnostics using vcds or obdeleven, or you can get a resistor kit and put it in and will not show error anymore
Cool,another thing you know the sidelight bulbs which u changed to LED on another video,did that come up as an error too or was it fine.🤔
@@abdulrehman2031 no sidelights were error free, low beams were fine for few days then caused error, high beam ones caused no errors at all on my car

You could have taken h15 adapter to put the ventilated LED
Wouldnt have worked anyway because of the way my bulb holder design is, checkout my latest videos i have update video with the specific bulb i have to use because of the weird bulb holder this car has

Them bulbs are aweful. Do nor use them type LED. Use the proper fan operated ones with built in adapter for golf mk6. Theonestopledshop has them
i agree brother i swapped them out one month after and made a new video for it too haha, they much brighter and better beam pattern and no one flashes you cos it not blind anyone haha
LED will fail MOT, not a legal upgrade in UK. You can only use brighter halogen, not change the bulb type. On most websites they will tell you "for off road use only"
Not true they are completely legal they just have to have a proper cut off line so not to dazzle other drivers, but they are completely legal mate otherwise more than half the cars in the uk would be illegal 😂😂
Halogen or HID projectors are world's better than LED's 🤮
Look at the light output against a wall versus stock bulbs. I bet there is tons of glare where oncoming traffic will be. Not safe for them and it's wasting light not going on the road in front of you where it should be
I agree with you on the hid part but price wise it was 4 times the price of a led, halogen wise i dont like the colour temperature, even the osram cool whites nightbreakers are still yellow, i want a pure white 6000k colour which can't be done by halogen unfortunately, and yes projectors are much better give a better beam and more brighter
Oh the light glare is really good it doesnt blind nobody or cause glare, plus the light output is way better than my old halogens i can see much better at night now whereas before i couldnt.
