Wow! I wish I have the guts to do what you have done. Congratulations! I have way too many dvds and blu rays and often can't decide what to watch. I sometomes think the saying "Infinity of choice equals no choice" often applys to me and I will eventually take the same drastic action as you.
@americanjedie The shirt I have on I bought in 2006 at a store called Hollister, do might not be around any more. Thanks for the nice comment pal, Happy B-day to your bro.
@badlieutenant13 Yeah I have an odd and sad Ego and I have small man complex. I truly didn't want the movies any more and dug for a reason to push me over the edge. Thanks for the comment.
I had a speech teacher that showed us all 3 LOTR movies and gav us lessons on it. It took about 2 weeks to see all of it and do wok over it. His name was Mr.Twist. He was awesome.
Wow that Hard Rain also comes in a steelbook....why?!? Ahhh, The Majestic...suckage, major suckage. That was actually really good Walken impression. Great video John
@StuffedBurritoEnt Yeah I just got tired of looking at movies siting there collecting dust, Plus I am re-placing some of them on blu-ray. Hell the cost of some of them on BD is almost too cheap to pass up. Thanks pal.
I try to scan through my collection to get rid of movies I know I don't care for too much, plus there are some really good movies that I only care to watch one time maybe twice. Plus I want to have a nice size collection, but not overly big. Plus it's also good to clear out more space for better movies.
I will agree with you on everything except "Magnolia" which is my favorite PTA movie although I love all of his stuff. It's a very long movie but the final message is the best.
@theFLICKpick I guess its just one of those things, I seen the movie when i was a little kid. It always stuck in my mind and to this day its one of my favorite films. Its one of the few movies, along with Midnight Cowboy, where i enjoy Dustin Hoffman. Sure if ya happen to see it on TV in 20 years time, just give it a shot.
Hey John, check out Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind if you haven't seen it before. Excellent Jim Carrey movie and it's in my top 10 of all time which doesn't get thrown around easily
I saw 3:10 To Yuma a few days ago for the first time, good film. Really liked it a lot, especially the end with the music and stuff where Ben Wade actually helps Bale's character to get him to the train in order to let his son think more highly of him, because Ben Wade had a shitty dad. Don't know if that last sentence made sense, but it took me a while to...I dunno..to make it. Time for me to end this one. Good video. Btw, what's the problem with full screen movies?
I never knew clipper cases were supposed to be opened that way. I would just press the cardboard to the left. At the moment I only have one though. The fantastic ''Red Planet''. I liked Spy Game (Robert Redford + Brad Pitt = Win!) and The Hurt Locker. Would like to see 3:10 to Yuma sometime.
Lot of good movies in that batch. Papilion (Pap-E-on) is amazing. Also Snapper cases really have no bearing on the picture quality. Warner owned the company that made those cases and they have been known for some of the best transfers from the beginning of dvd. Mark my words, someday snapper cases will be collected in the same way Big Box VHS is. You know who else liked things uniform...The Nazis. I'd dump all those pan & scan full screen movies though. Good video.
Man, I love The Majestic. I think it's a great movie, and has one of the best "showing the court why they are wrong" scenes. as for the lord of the rings, you should get rid of them. mostly because the extended versions are great. If you can take the longness that is.
Call me crazy, but I kinda liked The Number 23. I agree 100% about The Hurt Locker. The only thing I like about it is that it kept Avatar from winning Best Picture. Neither of them deserved it, and I don't even think THL is a better movie. I just didn't want Avatar to win . I recommend you watch The Cooler before ditching it. I saw it on cable a few years ago and thought it was great. And Amazon's 3rd party sellers have the BD of the Lord of the Rings theatrical cut for less than $30.
Hey man always love the vids. totally agree about lord of rings...meh. btw, my brothers b-day in about a week, an jus wondering where I could get em a shirt like the green/grey one yr wearin? (hell sorta odd question I know but itd really help me out.) k then thanx.
I agree with you about the hurt locker, I thought it was one of the dullest films Ive ever seen, I cant understsnd why it was even nominated for an Oscar, let alone worthy of winning one. snapper cases...I dont care what the film is, if its in a snapper it needs to go (unless its my copy of Nightbreed, took me years to find that damn film lol) same goes for fullscreen films...So on that basis I agree with just about everything in your list.
hey! christian slater was the shit in true romance.... he's been in some good flicks cut him some slack lol he just chooses to compete with wesley snipes, steven seagal, val kilmer and the rest of the straight to dvd b movie kings lol
@MindstormRecs Yeah I respect that man, Ive seen it and its just not for me. Maybe I will do a review one day, I know I have the unpopular opinion on that flick.
@MrRamone420 it was bad, but i know your just being nice haha. Yeah Hard Rain on steelbook thats a must have, I mean comon folks give us movies that deserve a damn steelbook.
@CameronMcCasland All of snappers look like crap, LA Confidential is one of the worst transfers Ive ever seen, it honestly hurts to look at. I just feel those original releases had lower bit rates and the discs werent used to there full capacity. Haha oh those dam Nazis..did I mention my great grandfather came from Germany.
Love Papillon....but that snap case sucks ass! I have found some Full screen editions lurking in my collection...f'ing sucks. I dig King of New York...need to get that one. Some day...no rush. Great Walken impersonation btw. CKY...Id have held onto it just out of some homage to Ryan Dunn I guess...call me Mr Sentimental...BLAHhahahaha...
@matt11708 ooh look everyone one I caught a troll!! LOTR is one of the most outstanding trilogies in film history. In both visual effects and scale, it broke boundaries for the cinematic imagination. Peter Jackson took books, that were once stated by Stanley Kubrick himself to be "UN-filmable" and turned them into the most memorable and engaging stories ever to grace the silver screen. So ya, I feel sorry for you. billions of fans and 17 Oscars but only one upset troll like you! :(
Wow, I never thought the L.A. Confidential DVD had such bad PQ. Maybe I'm blind or my old TV was not good enough. Oh and Papillon is pronounced Papeeyon.
@beautybudget88 Yeah she scares me, at the same time im fascinated with her. How ya doing by the way? PS your the only make-up channel Im subbed to...dont tell.
OMG, looking at John now and then is hilarious XD
Do something like this again, John
Wow! I wish I have the guts to do what you have done. Congratulations! I have way too many dvds and blu rays and often can't decide what to watch. I sometomes think the saying "Infinity of choice equals no choice" often applys to me and I will eventually take the same drastic action as you.
I have a batman and robin clipper case. Do you want it?....
Only if its in full screen
1m2a3t4t5 WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE THAT SHIT COVER YOUR WHOLE FUCKING SCREEN GOD DAMN!
@americanjedie The shirt I have on I bought in 2006 at a store called Hollister, do might not be around any more. Thanks for the nice comment pal, Happy B-day to your bro.
Shape on you for throwing out Papillon ! Agree with you on the clipper cover though.Walken impression was actually ok though :P
I own 6 copies of each LOTR movie and could never ever get rid of them. Yes 6 copies. 3 on DVD and 3 on Blu-Ray
@badlieutenant13 Yeah I have an odd and sad Ego and I have small man complex. I truly didn't want the movies any more and dug for a reason to push me over the edge. Thanks for the comment.
Why would u throw out the Epic lord of the rings trilogy?
I had a speech teacher that showed us all 3 LOTR movies and gav us lessons on it. It took about 2 weeks to see all of it and do wok over it. His name was Mr.Twist. He was awesome.
Dude, you're right about the other, especially the fullscreen ones, but don't throw away Papillion. That's a classic.
@filmdumb Well your crazy haha. Thanks for the heads up.
Wow that Hard Rain also comes in a steelbook....why?!? Ahhh, The Majestic...suckage, major suckage. That was actually really good Walken impression. Great video John
Hard Rain is a huge guily pleasure of mine. It's so bad and yet I can't stop watching it.
@MrSamuelheart Yeah a lot of hate for the hurt locker here in the comments, Glad to see the support.
Do you have "Godfather" trilogy???
@AlanGunn97 I changed the lighting in editing, the tone relaxes me.
I need to see Frodo i widescreen... That was a good one!
@forkerball yeah took about 3 days to make it through Magnolia.
@StuffedBurritoEnt Yeah I just got tired of looking at movies siting there collecting dust, Plus I am re-placing some of them on blu-ray. Hell the cost of some of them on BD is almost too cheap to pass up. Thanks pal.
Great idea mate i need to do some cleaning so i feel like Leon oh yer i saw it
@spr12cr haha thanks, and I had to use up some old fire works.
I try to scan through my collection to get rid of movies I know I don't care for too much, plus there are some really good movies that I only care to watch one time maybe twice. Plus I want to have a nice size collection, but not overly big. Plus it's also good to clear out more space for better movies.
i like the ending lol !!
@PopsDizzy haha, I grew up on Slater, not by choice I had 3 older sisters who thought he was a bad-ass in the 90's.
@forkerball Thanks man, wow someone read the description a first for youtube.
@Codemned Yeah I will pick it up, if I can find it cheap.
lol, i was looking through my dvd's yesterday, looking at the clipper cases and thinking. damn, too tragic. heheh.
@johnyd1231 Yeah, they had the wrongly cast Hannibal lector.
@vermylenp I have and will do another just wait and see.
Hey John, check out Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind if you haven't seen it before. Excellent Jim Carrey movie and it's in my top 10 of all time which doesn't get thrown around easily
@takeri2703 haha yeah, I have Heat on blu-ray had to upgrade because that damn DVD hurt to look at.
@SomethingAboutMovies Yeah they just stick out like a sore thumb, maybe I should of gave it a try.
god i love theFLICKpick :D
I never knew clipper cases were supposed to be opened that way. I would just press the cardboard to the left. At the moment I only have one though. The fantastic ''Red Planet''.
I liked Spy Game (Robert Redford + Brad Pitt = Win!) and The Hurt Locker. Would like to see 3:10 to Yuma sometime.
@Ercolano78 Thanks that makes me feel better.
The Extended editions for LOTR on Blu-ray is around $30 some places.

Fantastic video man! Laughed my ass off.
@StartStopReplay haha yeah its real, if you watch some older vids I actually touch things on it.
They just released all three Lord of the Rings movies on Blu-Ray in a bundle. Its the extended collectors limited special edition pack...yeah lol
@futurestoryteller I think your right.
@CinetalkReviews Yeah thats my new motto..kinda unless I know it will give me what I need one day.
@acooper37 Yeah I just want a collection full of movies I want to watch.
@RussB93 yeah its the devils work.
Lot of good movies in that batch. Papilion (Pap-E-on) is amazing. Also Snapper cases really have no bearing on the picture quality. Warner owned the company that made those cases and they have been known for some of the best transfers from the beginning of dvd. Good video.
@fergmaster Ive had those full screens for a while and some I bought really cheap and not paying attention. Yes Point Break is amazing!
@rodri17698 I will look into that movie, thanks pal.
Your making a good choice
@MrNintendo600 I love u too sir.
@StevenHuntReviews Glad to hear.
Dude give me Magnolia and The Hurt Locker!!
@Bobthesub Thanks pal, never seen nightbreed.
@mrcinemajunky I still have the discs to CKY, the case is gone. Watch the new vid and you will see. Yeah sucks about Dunn, thanks man.
@Ggould1975 yeah they made me do it.
@cameronjones10000 It does have a few cool parts, but Ill stick to Broken Arrow for Slater action.
Man, I love The Majestic. I think it's a great movie, and has one of the best "showing the court why they are wrong" scenes.
as for the lord of the rings, you should get rid of them. mostly because the extended versions are great. If you can take the longness that is.
the only one i have a problem with you blowing up is the hurt locker
i'm not sure if your aware but you actually look like christian slater's doppelganger on the hard rain cover i had to take a double take lol
@MindstormRecs Funny, I just watched it 2 days ago and it became one of my all time favorite movies :)
red dragon is worth to be updated on bluray pretty good picture quality.

And Amazon's 3rd party sellers have the BD of the Lord of the Rings theatrical cut for less than $30.
@TomVeliotis too much LOTR for me, the original cut was too long.
@TyJensenable I love Hannibal man, I just said I wanted the blu-ray, and the dvd I have is full screen.
@harrymcfly56 yes another comment agreeing, I thought I was the only one.
Hey man always love the vids. totally agree about lord of rings...meh. btw, my brothers b-day in about a week, an jus wondering where I could get em a shirt like the green/grey one yr wearin? (hell sorta odd question I know but itd really help me out.) k then thanx.
@NorwegianDirector Yeah no one can survive, well I didn't blow up Magnolia I traded it.
thx dude u have good taste
@vermylenp Im having one soon, for NEW movies!!!
@mindwarpmovies I understand, but I have too much love for other 90's action movies and Hard Rain just doesn't make the cut.
@fuzzymctiger watch my new video, and speaking of contest I will have one soon for new movies.
I can tell you've been working out, because you look a lot bigger in your 2013 vids. Especially your shoulders and neck.
Please, please, please John, watch Papillon. Seriously man, it is a fantastic prison movie!
I just watched a clipper case dvd the other day and it was good.
@ZombieZifiction I like parts of it..
@darbytes haha agreed.

@SeamusHobo I just cant pull the trigger, I did just watch Mid Night Express on blu-ray..it was alright.
@VloggingBastendo yeah Ive seen it and I could give you a 2 page message as to why its not for me.
Talking about Jim Carey's serious roles. Have you seen eternal sunshine spotless mind.
Magnolia is amazing
@darbytes wow theres another person after my heart.

I just feel those original releases had lower bit rates and the discs werent used to there full capacity. Haha oh those dam Nazis..did I mention my great grandfather came from Germany.
@wtfisditvoorbullshit full screen movies are missing half the pictures, they cut of the sides of the frame it make it fit non wide screen tv sets.
