I do have a couple of questions if you don't mind. 1- How long should a practice session be. 2- How long does it take for the sore fingers to stop. 3- Could you list what you think are the most important things that a totally new person to playing an instrument are to learn. 4- Do think formal lessons from an instructor vs watching people such as yourself could suffice. I am pretty sure someone here in Omaha plays the ukulele. Well at least I hope. You are so pleasant to watch and your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Keep adding the family members to your videos.

Well . . . . you are teaching me, so why not! I am 60 years old, bought my first Uke about 7 days ago, I have practiced for about 45 minutes for 5 out of the 7 days. I know about 8-10 notes that I can get to pretty well, so just working on transitioning between notes.
It's always better to strum above the sound hole (exactly where you're strumming lol) bc that's the sweet spot of the uke & it's louder there ^.^ ya doing great!! your mom is so cute btw :')
When I first learned ukulele DDU UDU was such a hard pattern. I think because the ups after the 2downs Now it’s like the easiest strumming ever Plus I would love for this to be a series!

I learned uke the hard way I taught my self googling strings to learn f, g, Am etc I always had mute strings till my best friends dad told me u need to press down a lot till sound came out and I already had extremely subtle calices so ur mom is lucky she being taught and not learning the hard way
