    I was born and grew up in Savannah and it was truly an interesting and remarkable place. My dad would ask me if I saw the ghost when we went by the Owens-Thomas house. He worked at a historic home on Drayton Street and his office had a Palladian window that looked out over Forsyth park and the beautiful fountain. So many things to do and see in Savannah. It's always a treat to go back and be a tourist.

    Thank you for such an amazing tour. I’ve always wanted to visit Savannah, and your tour will really help me to plan my trip. Did you do this all in one day? I’m trying to figure out how to plan my itinerary and want to know if I could do all of these things in one day? I’m able to tour in a moderately aggressive pace. Thanks!

    • @ProjectGaiaTravel
      @ProjectGaiaTravel  Рік тому

      All of these things technically CAN be done in one day if you move at a very aggressive pace. I mean aggressive like no eating for lunch and constant walking. I would recommend you give Savannah at least 2 full days to fully enjoy everything. Maybe 3 if you want to do it at a leisurely pace.

    One year, there was an alligator that had made its way from the Daffin park Lagoon, It was crawling near victory drive and then in to the vicinity of the whole foods parking lot. It would veer in to traffic on the road from time to time. The police were all over the place blocking up the road, until they found a local alligator rescue mission in Hilton Head south carolina a few hours later to come and remove the alligator. Victory Drive was shut down for about 6 hours.

    Can you clarify why it would be different to uber to wormsloe? Should you get tickets online in advance

    • @ProjectGaiaTravel
      @ProjectGaiaTravel  9 місяців тому +1

      Hello, I don't think it is necessary to get tickets in advanced it's several acres so doesn't really get crowded. It is necessary to Uber to Wormsloe as there is no public transportation, however, you have to walk far from the main entrance- easier if you have a car. But still worth the .5 to 1 mile walk.

    This city is only charming if you visit. I worked for the City of Savannah. My experience was a nightmare working and living in Savannah. Not all people living there are bad folks. Yet there is a underline Anti Semitism going on there, even though there is a large Jewish community. I am Jewish and I have
    experienced the antisemitism from fellow city workers. This town is rich in history and diversity. Yet is liberalism makes it a nasty city to live in.

    Savannah landscape is picturesque it's a beautiful however they have over 5,200 cemeteries here ranging from slavery's corpses to the Civil War in Black Bear the pirate this place is haunted if you come to Savannah please don't play with the Spanish Moss stats quite intriguing but they contain spiders and chiggers you will pay for playing with the stuff the streets have potholes in them is congested downtown with every mode of transportation that you can think of but they make it seem very beautiful for the tourists but when you go outside of those boundaries you can see a large homeless rate the politicians are corrupt the infrastructure is very bad when it rains it floods and you better not go down the street cuz you're liable to have to swim out your car other than those things that's a very beautiful place

    Nice video, but when you do others and talk about the people who were enslaved, please say, this is where the people who were enslaved lived instead, this is where the slaves live. "Slaves" were and are PEOPLE first. and they were running their own world before they became enslaved. "slaves" were indentured servants!
