    Communion is a gift to us from God. It’s not a Work. It’s not weird it’s not religious. It’s a beautiful memorial given to us from God in remembrance of him. I am so happy to see right division standing up for this Bible truth. Amen!

    Sure sounds like an actual meal, to me. A joy-filled, dignified meal together as brothers & sisters in Christ.

    Thank you David.
    "Eat my flesh" (Bread)=Read the Word= (in Rememberance).
    "Drink my blood" (nourishment)=for correction.=(Ordinances).

    You pointed out from 1 Cor. 11:2 that Paul gave the Body of Christ “ordinances” we should “keep”, one of which is the Lord’s supper. Since “ordinances” is plural, what are the others?

      @stevenhayes1611 It would seem to us that the ordinances would include other commandments that Paul gave. Hope this helps.
      1Co 14:37 KJV - If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

    Is it recommended to use a few oz. of wine, or grape juice?

      @C. Rakish Spagaletto Our practice is to use grape juice, but it seems scripture would approve of wine.

    You said something that's got me thinking. Is Israel today (and for the past 2000 years, since this Dispensation began) NOT "God's people"? I'm asking in regards to Hosea 1 and 2 knowing that when this Dispensation is over, He will call them (to be His People) again.
    But if they are not His people today, as I thought, then why are they so prosperous and protected and thriving?
    I value your input on all things Scripture Dispensationally. Thank you.

      @bugsoc sollie Israel has fallen and diminished during the dispensation of grace (Rom 11:11-12). Today, there is no difference between Jew and Gentile (Rom 10:12). Even though that is true, it seems evident that God is preserving the seedline of Israel so that God can ultimately accomplish all of His purposes with Israel after the Rapture once the prophetic program resumes. Hope this helps.

    I thought Gentiles were never under the Mosaic law, so how can an unbelievingly Gentile be under the law today?

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  6 місяців тому

      @marydennis2384 Consider Romans 2:14-15.
      Rom 2:14 KJV - For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
      Rom 2:15 KJV - Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and [their] thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

    Hmmm.... I can't help but ask about why the Lord's Supper applies for Body of Christ when Christ himself stipulated that the wine was for the REMISSION of sins (Matt 26:28).. Not forgiveness. Rom 3:25 clarifies to limit remission for only "past sins"... Suggesting that forgiveness is reserved for all other sins, at least for the Body of Christ.
    Best case, this teaching is only 1/2 an answer.... The other 1/2 depends upon biblical worthiness per Eph 4:1-3, which requires spiritual maturity.

      The "wine" was not for the remission of sin. It is a remembrance. Matt 26:28, "For this is my blood of a new testament, ..." Hebrews 9:22, "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding blood is no remission of sin." Leviticus 17:11, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." Blood was first shed by God in Genesis 3:21, "Unto Adam also to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them." In regards to the new testament that Jesus spoke of to the twelve, Jeremiah 31 foretold it. Jeremiah 31:31, "behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah"
