I'm not really surprised though. Cameramen are extraordinary breeds of humans. In the movies, they can survive nuclear blasts, They were able to keep up during the fight of General Zod and Superman, They were able to capture the fight between Godzilla and Kong unscathed, heck, even Zombies ignore them in every zombie movie I know.

For me it was the freedom to go anywhere, even restricted places. Standing at the stage during a concert? No problem. Going inside "staff only" room? Sure. All I need was a camera and that's all.

He was losing his lead as they were approaching the finish line, and he did start out way ahead of the runners, but he does have some serious skills in running and being able to hold a camera that steady. I will definitely give him props for being able to do all that.

Fun fact : when you turn your head sideways while running straight you lose around 25% of your uniform acceleration and non uniform hand movement while sprinting make you lose speed as the pace of the feet are reflected from the movement of your hands. This conclude holding a camera and turning all the way back to the runners make our cameraman far slower than his normal speed. Champion right there

he actually doesnt look directly back at them, if you look carefully he looks at his camera to see if the runners are still in the frame. that aside its crazy he runs that fast with only 1 arm to help his balance and speed.
He does start significantly ahead of the sprinters though but the fact that he kept up with them is impressive
