good deal. yeah this truck is addictive. My '22 Lariat is my first EV, but 7th F150. Just approaching 50,000 miles since January 2023. Ford did a great job with the Lightning.
Sorry you had to get rid of the Pro. But sounds like the buy back went well in your favor. Hope the new one serves you well. Thanks for all the informative how-to's on the Pro.
Bummer about your PRO. I have the same truck and hope to do a few of the mods you posted. Ford better have given you a good buyback price, you turned that PRO into a tricked out XLT!!! Thanks for these videos!!
Nice. I actually bought a 23 Platinum that was repurchased by Ford. Bought it through a Dealer in Kansas. Built in 10 /23. Had a new battery installed and then it was hit by hail. Really the only damage was the hood and tonneau cover. I bought a new hood through my job for 375 bucks and had a body shop paint it to match for 560 bucks. And save over 40k off of list price. So far, it's been a gem!
I just purchased this truck (2024 flash), and module one failed after 490 miles. I had the truck for a total of 5 days. If it takes more than 30 days to fix, I’m going to initiate the buyback.
Hey. Sorry to bother you. I have a 2023 F150 Lightning Lariat extended range that I bought 3 months ago. And of those 3 months my truck has been at the dealership for two months . Failed modem (can’t do no updates and no access to ford pass app)and they still can’t fix it. I’m 1 month into my buy back process. I’ve documented everything and the EV Ford Rep was impressed and said he saw no issues with my buy back but couldn’t technically tell me that. You said they gave you what the vehicle cost without incentive, what about taxes and dealer fees did you get that back as well? I’m getting another 23 Lightning it a platinum this time. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
@@csccerdafied hey no problem. Yes I got back taxes and fees as well. They do subtract a mileage fee. Mine was based on the first time I took it in to the dealer for warranty work (around 3000 miles). I think they took off about 1000$ on mine. When you factor in incentives though I came out way way ahead.
@@KurtsRPMGarage I just got an email today from my Ford EV/BEV CSR stating my buy back was approved for my 2023 F-150 Lightning Lariat. Can you please 🙏 maybe let me know what to anticipate. I am sorry to bother you but it’s been a long two months and I just want to get this done and over with. Thanks again.
@@csccerdafied nice. From here if memory serves me right they will put together an offer. Things should move quicker now. Once you get the offer you can either accept or take a payout where you keep the truck but they write you a check as a sort of apology. If you accept the buyout a rep from your local dealer will coordinate the exchange. Mine took about a week to call me and I handed it over a couple days later. When you drop off the truck they will hand you a check. That’s pretty much it.
There was a bunch of weird stuff with pricing at the time I got my pro. Just figured I’d gloss over it instead of trying to break it down. In short the buyback amount was a tick over $55k.
@@rickyspanish3210 yep it was a no brainer. Turned around and got the loaded XLT ER for $58k out the door after the tax credit. Very happy how it worked out.
Nice upgrade! Lol! Although I do believe electric is better than ice vehicles, you are still going to have lemons either way. There is one lightning owner out there with like 94k miles on his ‘22.
Highly unlikely. While I did mess with some of the software. All I did was basically just turn on features that the truck already had. Almost every part I added was genuine ford. Nothing I messed with had anything to do with the battery. The battery issue is a known problem with certain lightnings. So no i didn’t get any grief from the dealer or ford corporate.
The PRO community thanks you for all the how-tos. Glad the buyback worked out, best of luck with the XLT.
Keep the truck videos coming. So nice to see these from an everyday person like the rest of us.
loved the PRO content, good luck with the XLT.
What an awesome upgrade and outcome ! Love to see you stayed with the Lightning 🌩

I hope all manufacturers see this video and realize that when you take care of your customers, they will return to be repeat customers.
So glad you bought another lightning!! Kudos to you

Yep module one replaced. Now my truck only charges to 87%. Dealer says it will fix itself after a number of recharge cycles. Did you experience this?

my xlt long range 2months old, 50% only show range 144. is it normal? how ford actually calculate the range? suppose to 320 for 100% charged
Was it worth it to put the leather seats in versus what would’ve cost to just get them from the dealer?
I’d say so. Total cost for me was about $400 and about 6-7 hours of my time. Cost from a dealer or an upholster likely would have been $1500+.
Why the awkward secrecy around disclosing the buyback amount? It's a truck, not a secret bank account in the cayman islands buddy

@@KurtsRPMGarage haha shiiiit I would have taken that too. Especially for anyone who got the tax credit at POS that would be a huge W

Its a risk biying a new technology but it appears ford refuced that risk a bit . Ford did an amazing job building this vehichle .
What year and Model is your truck?
My old truck was a 23 pro sr built in November of 2022. My new truck is an xlt er built in November of 2023.
Do you think any of the previous mods you did somehow impacted the battery?
I'm surprised they didn't make an issue out of the work you did

@@KurtsRPMGarage well that's good to hear! Congrats on the new truck
Make sure to go over a curb and take it in for another warranty alignment ASAP.. just in case 😉
Love it!
