He was meant to be *the* final boss, since Super Dimentio isn't too hard a boss, he just has more health than Bleck.
Bleck has some really cool attacks with the power of the chaos heart too, which Super Dimentio didn't really bothered to utilize.

also purple was a harder color to make dye wise so only royalty possessed it

Bowser in these series had it rough, but peach got into an event that requires Sacrifice or possession that turns her into a villain. Man Paper Mario series got dark but at the same time, some endings, even the cutscene hit us hard like man, Bobby's cutscene in Origami hit hard.
I think we can all agree that Dimentio was one of the most powerful beings in the Mario Universe
I dissage. I like the first 2 bosses, though the real one is the Master of paper mario 64

@@holyroller67 no way it would definitely be one of the first three. bowser from pm64 yields like a really powerful wish wand, the shadow queen is incredibly powerful that she caused all the disaster and the whole plot just revolves around how powerful she is and it took all of mario's strength, his partners, peach's wishes, the crystal stars, and the wishes of everyone else mario met to defeat her. as for super dimentio, he's arguably even more powerful than these two because he has the power to rapidly drive everything in existence towards being entirely obliterated and like both of them it takes the pure hearts charged by love (implied to be a VERY powerful force) to even touch him

So ... Shadow Queen is a hard and interesting figth that uses every part of your Skill and when you defeat her its really epic
BUT King Olly is extremly creative with using every single battle style and when you battle him its like : Oh already over ? Huh that was quic- OH GOD HES ANGRY AND BOWSER IS ORIGAMI AND OH GOD WE HAVE TO PUNCH THE GROUND TO WIN AND OH GOD NOW WE HAVE A TIME LIMIT AND ... oh its over ? Phew he fell into the abyss ... that was coo- OH GOD HES BIG AND NOW THERES POISON EVERYWHERE AND WE HAVE TO PUZZLE UHHHHHHHHHHH YES GOD IT, OLIVIA IS A HAMMER AND WE WON, wait is there anothere phase ? Well I've played all of them and I liked all of them, especially the new Paper Mario game.
For the final boss battle (not the entire game), overall (difficulty - representation - music - etc), this is my list
1. Super Paper Mario (Not the harderst, but the representation is great, including the plot)
2. The Thousand Year Door (Love the support from the characters, made the battle intense and "definitive")
3. The Origami King (I suck at puzzles, took me hours to end it. Visually impressive and Olly's rage mode works fantastically)
4. Sticker Star (Like the dynamic with the background)
5. 64 (Really like the change of battle with Twink and Peach, short but effective)
6. Color Splash (Great interaction with Huey in phase 2)
But it's just a list, I liked them all!

I would rank the Final Bosses like this:
1)King Olly: the music is fantastic (especially Phase 1&3),it's cool gameplay-wise,the visuals and atmosphere are top notch
2)Black Bowser: emotional music,great atmosphere and visuals like TOK and balanced difficulty
3)Shadow Queen: hard and long,but epic and the encouragement scene is BEAUTIFUL
4)Bowser 64: it's your classic Bowser fight,but still nice
5) Count Bleck and Super Dimentio: gameplay-wise,this offers very little substance (it's something all the bosses in SPM have),but damn,music atmosphere and visuals are so damn good
6)Sticker Crown Bowser: you have to bring like,1 million stickers and it's so slow
At least the music and the last Phase are cool
In my opinion Color splash was a tiny bit lacking of a game, but fun. In oragami king Olly's backstory was a bit odd, but that game is great. Super Paper Mario is a masterpiece, but people expected a rpg from it, but if u look at it if it were a normal Mario platformer, that game is perfect in every way. But I haven't played the first 2, so what do I know

SPM will always be my favorite story/ending but OK really did an amazing job, me and my friend where playing it together (my friend was just providing commentary), and honestly the both of us were in tears at the end.
The shadow queen was an ELITE boss

Paper Mario 64, paper Mario the thousand year door, super paper Mario, and paper Mario the origami king have really great touching stories.
Color Splash's story was pretty good too

They said they can't use unique characters but who is to say Tanabe isent lying. The Mario and Luigi dev team wasn't forced out of creating unique character.

Okay, I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually love Sticker Star. A lot of people say it has bad mechanics and stuff but I really just ignore that mess. I personally loved the story, the soundtrack, the graphics and backgrounds, and the new sidekick character that was introduced, Kersti. I feel like she had some good character development, and I find her sacrifice in the end to be rather touching. And, it being my very first paper mario game i had ever played, that also has some effect on my love for it. I know a lot of people hate the game, and I respect their opinions, but this is simply what I think. And that game will always be a great part of my childhood for me.

Besides thousand year door to me I can say sticker star is the least preferred paper mario game but you are right the music and story are great it's just not being the best due to it being on the 3ds, the underrated songs are definitely the giant blooper fight and the boo fight in the mansion with the disco ball lmao

Bowser in Paper Mario 64 shows how capable he is without a generic Magikoopa's assistance. Granted, Kammy's his right-hand Koopa in this game, but you ever notice how, without Kamek's influence, Bowser's actually pretty put together? He doesn't want Mario dead, he just doesn't want Mario around anymore.
Bowser in the first gane: Won't hesitate to kill mario or even peach.
Bowser in TTYD: I don't know I didn't play it. He probably turned into a door.
Bowser in SPM: More of an ally than a friend.

Bowser was really never a threat in any of the Paper Mario games compared to The Shadow Queen, King Olly, and Dimentio lol, and he wouldn't lay a finger on Peach, he loves her too much. I see Bowser as more as an Anti-hero than a villain. He lost that status a long time ago.

I wished that Super Paper Mario had the bosses attack more often and have a lot more health, like I'm talking Super Dimentio having somewhere around the 10000 HP zone
Dude 10000HP would be insane, on a regular playthrough Bowser would deal between 16 and 20 damage at that point and you suggest a five digit HP?
I think 1000-1500 would be reasonably hard. Maybe as high as 2500

Origami king come back with the stuff of Bowser being a sympathic threath or the annoying sidekick instead of the main antagonist and this is great
Also im pretty sure the fact olly is the final boss doesnt suprise anyone, so its not as big of a spolier

Honestly, I was half expecting Bowser to become the final boss as he's been the final boss in the previous two games. But I'm glad that Bowser isn't the final boss.

Man this series is awesome. Sucks that the 2 modern games have some issues, like the overload of Toads and paper puns, but they were really solid games. And the classic ones? Unarguably amazing, TTYD, Super, the OG, all awesome. Sad the series is stopping at 5 entries, but so be it.

I like how in the original Paper Mario Trilogy Bowser, Peach and Luigi are all the Final Boss. In the fourth game Mario himself should be the final Boss too bad this never happened. He could be possessed or have an evil clone that would be awesome so all Main characters their once the final boss.
I can see this being possible if they port Color Splash to Switch and add a new story with Luigi after beating the main one. Think about it: The Black Paint became sentient and wants to corrupt the world,so Luigi and Huey must stop him/her(I would call him/her "Black Pain") and then during the final fight Black Pain will transform into Mario in the 1st or 2nd phase of the fight

I love what it stands for but I only have one issue.......that is why her as a final boss when she feels even weaker then the first boss since when I gkt to this point I think of oh shoot we really goofed up just to fight her and sure she says that she all that but I just keep applying that damage and she just dead..... i felt sad like give her some damage or a move that will beat you in defeat your whole party in one move I just didn't feel anything from this boss but I do love how she was implemented and I love how unique she is but give her something that why you fear her or should
