- After a beyond lovely response to the speedpaint I made of our DnD party “High Hopes Low Rolls”, I took some time this week to translate me and my friends’ player characters into classic meme format.
This is a fun little project that I’ve been wanting to make for a while now, - it took way longer to finish up than I thought it would, but it’s definitely been a laugh to put together!

Hey for any of you people who have never played dnd. Yes. This is exactly what it’s like. It is not calm and tactical like in the movies. It’s a war zone filled with screaming and bad decisions.
Its calm and tactical when you start sure, you have options, you have spells. But 20minutes into the dungeon, When The Wizards Decides to cast grease on the Barbarian as he Slip and slides into the Skeletons Chasing them.
I call that big boy bowling.

Rip I just started playing dnd for the first time in a school club and it’s nowhere near as fun as this looks it’s honestly kinda lame 😂 I’m the only person who makes attempts at humor n dialogue and stuff everyone else just goes along doin what they have too and not saying much honestly and then someone complains at me that I’m acting like an “evil character trying to make it all about me” because I’m putting effort into making it fun 😂😂😂

@@thecrazycomet lolol same dude same. I've got 16 in wisdom, expertise in perception, and observant feat haha. Assassin rogue lvl 4, way of shadow monk lvl 6. Great to just teleport in, sneak attack, and run away with my 55ft movement speed using the mobile feat.
@@Nyx_Pyralis I *see* you are a character of culture as well. Rogue Inquitve with expertise in perception and the observant feat. Only level 4 but has 21 passive, and for that level, most of the stuff is auto passed. DM "Everyone make a--nevermind Denver you see..."

If your character is having a bad time, just remember that my warlock failed 6 times to get up a hill. 6 TIMES. EVEN WITH ROPE. He eventually misty stepped up the hill pissed as hell.

I watched one stream some ork literally threw a goblin at another goblin and jsut massacre them like that. Leaving only one left to interrogate.
MJ Spore I’ve thrown our gnome rogue as a projectile weapon before, basically Wolverine fast ball special but....somehow smaller
Less impressive than the two above me, as projectile was not alive, but my Dragonborn Barbarian (with Tavern Brawler feat) was in a fight. Didn't even rage or draw their maul, just walked up to an overturned table, lifted it up above his head, went, "'Sup?" to the poor Halfling trying to reload his crossbow while using the table I had just picked up for cover, and then flattened him with the table before turning and launching it across the room and braining another poor bugger.
Just last week one of our Goliath PCs grabbed a dragon by its tail and after we cut off its wings, threw it off a cliff, the dragon was about the size of a Camry but every few rounds it’s climb back up and the Goliath would throw it off the cliff again

Can confirm. Just get the barbarian and I standing next to each other in a fight and I will 100% be thrown, pointy ends first

I was playing as a Cleric (Grave) Warrior.
I found 2 npcs on the brink of death (last death check)
Everyone on the party said to loot them.
The warlock killed one just for the lolz.
I ressurrected the dead one, healed the dying other.
They both pledged their life to me.
One had a BURST-FIRE MAGIC THUNDER CROSSBOW.
The other had a RETURNING MAGIC LIGHTSPEED THUNDER TRIDENT.

Now I'm a badass mafia boss with two grunts stronk af.

There's actually plenty of ways to play D&D online with other people! I would suggest checking out Roll20; they have an entire section dedicated to helping players find people to play the game with!
My DM is a school friend and our party is the rest of our group...the poor soul has to deal with 8 semi-insane people. 3 of which who are completely chaotic outside of DnD. First decision they could in situation with theives and guards and a bar. AND THEY OFF TO STEAL A HORSE FROM A RANDOM STABLE?!?!?!?! My DM had a very stressful time to say the least.
Also, I forgot to mention that besides the DM, there are only two other people who have played DnD before that first session.
I freaking loved all of this...!!!!

That's what my fighter did to our party's rogue. Rolled a crit on her strength check and threw the rogue 20 feet into the air while shouting a Thaumaturgy-boosted YEET.
Our 3rd bard got yeeted off a cliff with the force of 4 Big Macs.

My Goliath fighter liket to YEEET 2 dwarfs ( his best friends ) over obsticles an onto big enemys . And they have this "Lord of the Ring" way to it . When im about to YEEET then they always look at me a say " Dont tell the elfs" 😂😂

Introduced in the Speedpaint:
-Brio: Smol bard with attitude. Token cute character.
-Ava: Would be someone who would put alcohol and weed in a drink for maximum highness. Also died once.
-Terra: Cinnamon roll w/ an afro who looks more like a monk than an eldritch knight.
-Zada: The cleric who shall not revive anyone. May or may not be in a bag dimension as of this writing.
-Mina: A sweet person with *legitimately* the meanest backhand you’ve ever seen (19 str and dex wth).
-Nagar: Absolute unit who is also an absolute cinnamon roll.
-Gimgar: Likeliest party member to make it onto r/madlads.
-Paddy: ABD was apt. A gay disaster. Even if everyone in the party is to a lesser extent. Also expert magical thief and fly rider.
-Malark: The *other* gay disaster of the party, except he kills people. Also a werebear, apparently.

-Hashaan: The sane woman going insane.
-Rook: Would *really* appreciate the Internet right now.
-Ryce: Warm as the sun.
-Gwing: Likely the only actual sane woman of the party.

My favorite part was “when Brio and Ryce get along” it was adorable. I can’t wait to see more of this, especially because of the excellent animation and art style. I really liked the speed paint of the characters.

I believe it's referring to one of the Figurines of Wondrous Power - it's basically a little statue you can fit in your pocket, except it can turn into that animal for special effects.

Word of advice; this is exactly how d&d is when you have a good group. Be prepared🤣
Currently in my first ever campaign (we are doing The Masquerade though). I can confirm things get really weird really fast, in a really funny way :D
Example: I was following a very angry and serious-looking guy in a disco, lost him for 2 minutes and them found him on top of a table, singing with all his heart while dancing pretending to be a rabbit...
Me still need to find a campaign.
To be honest as long as you have a good story and are having fun you don't really need to learn the rules.
Just go with the flow, if you're with the right people the rules won't matter. This is my first time and I'm already having sooo much fun 😊

Oh! I didn't understand that one at first but now that I know that's what it was, that's REALLY relatable. Yeah. One time my character made a perception check and straight up got lost... fun times.
