I live in Meath near Navan. I am elderly and take the 109 Bus usually. Sometimes I would take the NI to Dublin as it is faster, but I need a lift to the bus stop as it is farther away. I find the Bus Eireann personnel extraordinary. Sometimes I have difficulty boarding and sometimes difficulty getting off the bus. The driver at times has got out and lifted me in or off the bus as the case may be. They are all extremely helpful and kind. I live beside a place where foreigners come in the summer for courses- they are so impressed, as the drivers will often stop opposite the Centre and bring both them and their luggage across the road. It speaks volumes to these people -of the care from the people of Ireland, they are gobsmacked and so grateful! I suppose it is just part of our democracy, but it is certainly much appreciated.
