- Snowy owls are an iconic species of the Arctic. Animal world of the Arctic. Birds of prey. Snowy owl on the nest, parenting behavior, animal sounds. Snowy owl (named Bibi) nest. She nested in a warm year for the Arctic with a high number of lemmings in the tundra .A couple of months ago, she laid 5 small eggs. Time goes fast. She is surrounded by five big owlets now. One more month and they will fly. But now the growing chicks need a lot of food. There are three younger chicks in the nest. Bibi returns to nest to feed youngest offspring. One of them quickly swallows a small lemming provided by Bibi. The owlet feels that this is not enough and he steals another lemming. Ой-ой-ой) Мне кажется, что малышу на переднем плане стало плохо от такого большого размера лемминга, он, затолкав его в себя, пытался прилечь на мамин хвост..и прийти в себя. Даже дышать ему тяжело.
Ну, надо же) У них клювики маленькие, а влазит как в безразмерную варежку!)

Только хотел сказать про полярную мышь . Их там тучи бродит . А когда их становится много , то они идут топится. Мама сова точит свой клюв об видеокамеру

Если я правильно поняла,то было три мышки.Один птенец съел свою и забрал у другого птенца вторую.Третий съел одну свою.Значит один птенец остался голодным?Вот уже правда:"Кто смел.тот двоих сьел".

A lemming is a small rodent, usually found in or near the Arctic in tundra biomes. Lemmings form the subfamily Arvicolinae (also known as Microtinae) together with voles and muskrats, which form part of the superfamily Muroidea, which also includes rats, mice, hamsters, and gerbils. In popular culture, a longstanding myth holds that they exhibit herd mentality and jump off cliffs, committing mass suicide. Dearest, how the mother stays with the little ones to protect them. There are probably enough lemmings around now that it's enough for the father to hunt alone. The size differences between the chicks are enormous. I feel sorry for the smallest because it's not as fast and greedy as the bigger ones. This is probably why the youngest are all the more behind their older siblings in terms of size.

В этом гнезде было пять яиц и вылупилось пять птенцов. Старшие два птенца уже ушли из гнезда и держатся рядом, на гнездовой территории. В гнезде находятся три младших птенца. С ними всё хорошо
