    “The Zentangle ® Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns, tangles. You create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs. These simple shapes are the "Elemental Strokes" in all Zentangle art. These patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called "tiles." We call them tiles because you can assemble them into mosaics.

    I like the chitchat while watching you complete tangles - I don’t care as much for those that skip, and I hate sped up tangle videos! Would also like to see more of your additional embellishments. I’d never even heard about catkins, and now I’ve seen it I’ll have to explore it further. I’ve seen some additions on some of the earlier tangles in these sessions I wish you had talked about and shown some of (not in as much detail as the tangle of the day) so I could search it out and learn more. Hope that makes sense! I’m really tired and need to go to bed !

    I've been enjoying (preferring) how it looks to go from top to bottom when adding the "back" part of the leaf shape. When you do that, it's like stacked "cups" instead of those things that look like they're biting each other.

    • @TheTirelessTangler
      @TheTirelessTangler  11 місяців тому +3

    I'm new to zentangle so details matter. Seeing how the tangles are completed is really important to me. So glad you are back. Sorry to hear youtube has messed with your account. Sometimes I start videos and don't complete them because the tangle is not so much for beginners, me.

    I am so glad you are back making videos. I found your channel at the beginning of 2022 and watched everything you did. I really enjoy watching you and listening to your positive outlook. In this video you asked what you could do to make your videos more popular. Would you consider having a second channel? You could use the same content in both but one would just show the step out then skip ahead or fast forward to the next section that needs explanation, etc. You could do a voice over to explain the steps and finish up with shading and the final tile. This could be no more than 8 to 10 minutes. The other video could be for your Zenders and be just like what you are doing now. Hope that helps.

    Well, I’d say I have a bone to pick with you about keeping Catkin a secret all this time. But there’s a 100% chance you shared it ages ago and I just forgot it so I’m just gonna say thank you for sharing it again! What a cute tangle and like you I LOVED it 😻!
    Do you have a way of knowing if those that only watch a few minutes might be doing a preview and actually come back later? I’ve certainly done that quite often. Being a Zender I haven’t a clue how to make it any better. Being part of your day and listening to you chit chat like we were sitting there on the bed with you is what attracts me and makes me a devoted fan. I did like @artstmargo’s suggestion of occasionally showing the completed tile. Much love 💖

    From Angele💝: You asked what you could do to improve your channel. Here are my humble suggestions: 1. It's InkOctober. We tangle every day. One hour is too long. Make it 30 minutes max. I know your core group stays with you until the end, but, the audience needs to move on. 2. To make it 30 min long, just do a "basic tangle".....that is: on this video, you could have done just 4-5 leaves. Maybe throw in that extra tangle. That's it. 3. We're here to learn the tangle. We don't need 20 leaves to learn the tangle. Showing us some examples at the beginning of the video, fulfills that need of showing how the tangle could be with extras. I hope that helps. Here's what I enjoy: 1. Your instructions. 2. Your shading. 3. Your stories. 4. Can't think of anything else...... LOL. Good luck in re-building your business. 🤗

    Keep them as they are! I wasn't able to watch the first few Inktober videos all the way through, but now that October has passed, I'll be able to. Obviously, I'm a month behind on your videos! But I'll catch up.

    Near the end at 45:09 (yes, I'm a Zender), you mention using an electric eraser. I just invented a new use for it I'll pass on. Cut a #1 (small) paper tortillion to about an inch from the tip and insert it into the business end of the eraser. Use it for blending! It's uncomfortable for me to use regular tortillions because they are short to begin with. Unlike Rick from Zentangle, I really don't like supporting it in the palm of my hand. Although you probably don't want to use an electric eraser in your videos due to the noise, it really saves one's hand and makes quick work of blending.
    If I were to do anything different if I made these videos would be to insert a window showing the end product during the process. It helps to see where you're going as well as how you got there. Yes, I know you show it in the beginning, but it's interesting and helpful to see it as we're going along.
    Nice job, Lady! Keep it up! I hope more people see your videos in the future.

    • @TheTirelessTangler
      @TheTirelessTangler  11 місяців тому +2

      I might be able to do that without too much trouble. I loved my electric eraser. Your idea is interesting. Would a longer blending tool work better? A paper stump might work better for you? They tend to be bigger and more solid. I like them alot. I might try your idea if I get another eraser. Thank you so much for your insightful comment!💜 💜

  • @justicerachel
    @justicerachel 11 місяців тому +1

    Personally, I think you ought NOT change what you are doing in terms of video length. One thing you could (maybe?) do is break it up into chapters. [Not that I know how to do that, so this may not help. Haha.] But if there were chapters or bookmarks, then people could jump ahead to the next step if they wanted to. [But maybe that wouldn't count as viewing the whole thing?] I worry that in your desire to attract new people, you might lose some folks who are members of your tribe (or potential members).

    • @justicerachel
      @justicerachel 11 місяців тому +1

      Oh! It would be more work, tho. But could you film a longer post and then take "excerpts" out of it to make a shorter version and then put both up? The long version could give a link to the short version in the description. And vice versa.
