I just use the Missha artemisa essence{ for example} after shaving... no fragrancde, no alcohol...nice brown bottle , after shaving ;let it dry for a few minutes... then just your spf 50 favorite sunscreen....happy sunday everyone!!!
I’ve been trying to convince my family member to just use moisturizer instead of aftershave. I’m thinking he’ll be more likely to listen to your advice & will have to send him this video!! ☺️
Why not get him an aftershave balm - something inexpensive to try. Once people realise how nice a moisturiser can feel then I doubt they would go back to aftershave. I love L'Occitane after shave balm, really hydrating and a nice treat product - a simple moisturiser does the job.
Pre and after shave are so frustrating. It’s an excuse to make awful quality cleanser and moisturizer products “for men 😤”. If men just bought a proper face wash and cream they’d save so much irritation and money
So true. I don't understand why after shaves have to sting, and why many men don't know they shouldn't, and that most of them are awful. Nivea line is most abundant one in the shops in my area, and all of it terrible, it's pilling, like a film on top of the skin, doesn't soothe well and causes pimples. And I have no reaction like that to most moisturizers.
I haven't used aftershave on my face for over 30 years - some people still think that the 'stinging' means it's killing bacteria. So many of the 'for men' brands are pure garbage that are too heavily scented and over drying. Guys try these and are put off skincare in general. One that I do like is 'Bulldog' - picked it up randomly one day a few years ago and used it since. Pretty basic but the cleanser is great - removes sunscreen without drying etc. I had been using Kiehls moisturiser but switched to Bulldog and prefer it, it's a fraction of the price but my skin loves it. Sits nicely under sunscreen and hydrating enough for my dryer skin from my tretinoin.
@@brianp9483 SAME omg. I picked up the Bulldog oat one and I was so impressed lol. Though honestly most cleansers can double as a shaving cream unless you have a lot of hair
I’m so glad you discovered Kastel! They are actually originally designed for equestrian sports. I wear one every day! The creator of the company is a super interesting woman and actually just narrowly missed making the Tokyo Olympic Team.
Hi Dr. Dray! Here’s a fun content recommendation. I would love to see you play Would You Rather (Skincare Edition). Examples: - Would you rather have Toner or Serum? - Would you rather choose Cerave or Neutrogena? - Would you rather go tanning or use a scrub on your face? 😂
She'd use Neutrogena Daily Defense "Serum" SPF60, it's marketed as a "serum" and it's the smart choice. It depends on what Cerave or Neutrogena product but in general, definitely Cerave. Neutrogena has more goofy, fragranced products. However, Cerave's mineral sunscreens suck. She'd use a scrub on her face. She'd be extremely gentle, wouldn't rub and be extremely gentle about it.
Dr Dray! I got a pillow designed to help me sleep on my back! I slept 9 hours straight last night on my back! At age 62 and 1/2 , first time this HAS ever happened! I got the temperpedic one that allows you to turn it and sleep on your side, but I didn’t need it. Thanks for suggesting checking out a pillow to help!
What type of a sleeper were you before? I'm a stomach sleeper which is know is the worst, but can never fall asleep on my back. Can you link the pillow?
@@nellsgirl @Iris K. Try Amazon - I got the Tempur-Pedicure Tempur-Ergo Advanced Neck Relief Pillow, Contoured, Soft and firm Support, Standard, White…my husband got it for me, but he said it was quickest to get it on Amazon. Good luck!

Can you please make one dedicated video specifically geared for men, such as best shaving routine to prevent rAzor burns. Or maybe a video on bald/shaved heads and best way to care for them and how they may be cared for differently from the face/neck.
YES! Silk pillowcases are great for protecting your hair when you sleep. Also for curly hair it helps prevent frizz and curl smashing that non-silk pillowcases cause. I am not however a fan of "UPF" labeled clothing because it is almost always made of synthetic fibers which aggravate my sensitive skin, cause me to sweat overly and are generally worse for the environment than non-synthetic fibers. You can somewhat determine whether a fabric will provide UV protection based on how tightly it is woven (hold the fabric up to a light source to see how much light gets through) as well as it's color: darker and brighter colors tend to absorb UV before it can get to your skin. Unbleached cotton contains lignins which also have been shown to absorb UV. Loose fitting clothing also works better to protect from the sun's harmful UV than tight fitting clothing (this can be visually seen by trying on a sheer loose fitting garment in front of a mirror in a well-lit area - try to see through it, then pull it tight around you and try to see through it, now you see what I mean). I do agree that the top you show in this video is super cute and will likely give a more fashionable silhouette than a loose fitting natural fiber top would.
When it's in skincare it can be helpful for soothing skin BUT its already been diluted to the safe ratio as opposed to if you buy pure tea tree oil. I would just stick to trying out a toner with tea tree oil if you wanted to try it and see how it works for you. A lot of people are buying it as an essential oil and not diluting it, causing irritation or worse to themselves because of that. Mixing your own products is always a toss up because the average person neither has the knowledge nor technology that cosmetic chemists do to ensure product stability, hygiene, or safety. Hope that provides some broader context
Maybelline Sky High mascara is my favorite. I no longer need to use a lash curler because it lifts my lashes so well. :) My TJ Maxx usually has a good selection of DW candles. On my last trip to Whole Foods I found a new sunscreen (new to me), alba botanica baby clear mineral sunscreen spf45. I use it on my face under makeup. I have sensitive skin and very sensitive eyes and so far this is working well for me. :) It dries down nicely without feeling sticky or greasy. It's also not drying or matte on the skin.
If you blend the deeper shade onto your neck it won’t show so much that it’s the wrong colour, it actually looks nice tbh it just needs to be blended down

Thanks for the tip on tretinoin. I can use my .5% every night but not under my eyes where all my wrinkles are, go figure. It actually makes them so much worse . So I’ve been using tretinoin under eyes about twice a week and cerave skin renewing night cream other nights and sometimes that’s a little too irritating and now I know why. I really want to boost the collagen there but I don’t want to look like an 80 year old in the process to get to end game. It’s taken so much trial and error and I still haven’t found that sweet spot and it’s been over a year. She didn’t even follow with any helpful advice. She actually said she puts it under her eyes with no problems. That’s when I said, I need a new dermatologist. Oh wow, thanks for addressing this- I’ve actually been alternating Differin and Olay retinol 24 cream. I was trying to figure out what was causing the very slight burning on my face after I cleansed, and this must be the reason. I’ll stop using Differin for now and continue only with the Olay. So glad you mentioned it!
Uh. Imagine putting alcohol and fragrance on already injured/irritated skin. Sounds like a great idea. Not. Sometimes you have to wonder, what the people behind these products are thinking. I mean, I get that they want to sell stuff...but that's what marketing is for, after all. If you can sell shit products to people with good marketing, surely you can also sell them truly beneficial ones the same way? It really boggles the mind....

Hey, I went to Bellaire High School! The year after I graduated they installed air conditioning (it was MISERABLE on the 3rd floor) and dropped the dress code. Boys had to wear slacks and shirts with collars, hair above the collar. Girls had to wear dresses or skirts not more than 2" above the knee. It was 1970. It was nice to hear the words "Meyerland Shopping Center!"
So after I shave I use the glycolic acid toner from The Ordinary followed by a mix of the caffeine serum and niacinamide powder both from The Ordinary followed up with the moisturizer from Muji. It’s my formula post shaving that works the best for me it has the added effects of my bikini area and thighs are finally starting to clear up from acne/blackheads and has become much nicer and smooth. I have never had such nice skin before.
I used to buy into natural cosmetics for a while and it was better than what I used before (just random bad products, no skincare routine). But it didn't do as much as I wanted it to, no big irritations but also not much effect. Thankfully I found the skincare community on yt and insta and Dr dray, so I finally am on the right path. But now and then I pass that section in the store and I see a young girl buying home made natural skincare and I just want to take her by the hand and say, girl we are getting you some CeraVe now. Pls drop that overpriced bottle of whatever you are holding.

I LOVE tea tree oil! Been using it for years. When I notice a small pimple under the skin, I put a single drop of tea tree oil in my face wash in my hand and massage it into my skin and wash it off. Works every damn time. It’s a staple in my skin care/medicinal cabinet You do not want leave tea tree oil on the face. Of course it’s going to burn and possibly leave a skin rash. It’s the most powerful antiseptic, antimicrobial, antibacterial oil. It’s been around for thousands of years. If used properly, it can kill all the bacteria that causes acne. People just don’t know how to use it properly
@@kristilambert3416 You used ONE Single drop mixed with your lathered up face cleaner? I only wash the skin with the mixture for a max of 10 seconds and wash off really well. Maybe u should try only 5 seconds next time. Tea tree oil is extremely powerful. I think people slather on TT without realizing they can cause serious burning to their skin. But if used properly, it can literally heal and prevent acne as well as dandruff. It kills more germs, bacteria and viruses than household cleaners.
That shaving tip made my day. I never moisturize my under arms. Also I have been alternating Differin and Cerave....oops 😬 but I am getting no irritation. My favorite and first retinol was the Neutrogena Rapid Repair purple capsules. Would love to see you compare them to Cerave and Differin! Thanks for your videos.

I use CeraVe SA cleanser before shaving and the ordinary moisturizer after. My skin has never been better.
It really boggles the mind....
maybe they want you to think they you need more of their products to fix it…
Definitely NOT cheating to listen to audibles on + speeds! -I heard Barak Obama say in an interview that Michelle told him his own audio book (read by him) is ideally listened to on 1.5x speed, because he is such a slow talker! Sounds to me like she keeps him humble.
Smell like love spell which smells like my high school years. Your candle scent descriptions were fantastic. 😂
Hi ! Happy Summer 🌺 ☀️
Happy Sunday
I love homemade tea tree cold towels! Ain't nothing can make me leave them!
Tea tree oil cleared a seborrheic keratosis I had for over a year in one week. The quality and potency of herbs matters.
Happy Sunday! Hope you’re doing well. Hope Mama Dray and little Tybee are okay too.
Happy Sunday Dr Dray...see you tomorrow x💙🤩
I love using the powder to touch up before leaving too!! And that flex in medium has been great on top of their original face shield line.
I always listen to books and podcasts on double speed and I watch UA-cam vids double speed too!
Tea Tree never again! I used a tea tree facial cleanser from the Body Shop and it made me my face feel like it was-badly sunburned with the skin around my nose and mouth raw!
Happy Sunday, Dr Dray. Enjoyed the vlog and love the new shirt. And that its from Denmark is even better! (My grandfather was from Copenhagen) Thanks for the shaving tips. Hope you have a lovely evening. 💚
I love your vlogs so much they are so calming to me
Happy fathers day 👪

Thank You Soo Much Friend!! I Hope Your Day is Going Amazing!!!
I always look forward to your weekend vlogs c: I've learned so much from you all while enjoying your content p.s. your so silly and funny I love your personality
Your top looks exactly like my horse riding top from Dublin - love it as has mesh to cool you down and also stops the mosquitoes from eating me
Oooh! That Kastel shirt is so pretty. Love it on you!
Thanks 😊
But tea tree really works for me. 🥺
You can’t stop me! 😈
Same… nothing but good results here. I mix it with oils myself.
I feel like audio books should be read by well spoken deep voiced British gentlemen.
Happy Sunday, Dr Dray!!!
Happy Sunday
@@DrDrayzday Thank you so much! xxx
Does anyone know if there has ever been an update on Dr.Dray’s mom?! Incase I missed it somewhere along the line ....🙏🏼
I haven’t seen one. I asked a couple times on Instagram but no response. I hope she is doing well.
Why do we need to apply sunscreen so often?
Thank you for the reviews of the UPF clothing!
Yuppy!! Already up your video! Watching already :)
Thanks for watching
"The scent of money flying out the window with two-day delivery" smell :) I love it :) You made my day Dr. Dray :)
Yes the sky high is one of my faves!!!
I always get so excited when a UA-camr mentions another UA-camr I Watch! So thrilled to hear you follow Kim! Put a little happy in your day.
Can you please do a video for people who have to work outdoors?
Hi dr Dray, if I store my skincare inside the medicine cabinet in my bathroom, do you think it will be protected from the heat, moisture and vapour in the bathroom? Or even inside the cabinet, the products will expire faster?
Moisture can impact ingredient stability, but most people store stuff in a medicine cabinet and it is fine
I had a rash on my forearm and hydrocortisone and other creams made no difference. I put on tea tree oil every day for about two months and the rash disappeared. I think tea tree oil is medicinal and I am a huge fan of tea tree oil.
Cassandra swears that diluted tee tree oil and jojoba helped clear her acne and there’s a lot of studies done on it.
I dilute tea tree oil as I've read to put it in a carrier oil.
@@lilshaz8378 yes, it’s very potent but I think Dr Dray is saying diy can be dangerous.. it’s better to buy a good product with the oil in it because it’s been properly formatted. I use a tee tree aloe gel that my skin loves
You follow 'Kimberly Whisk' too! I knew I liked you! 💜
that Kastel jacket is beautiful! thank you for trying it - I am very interested in UPF clothing/covering
Duluth Trading has some upf clothing offerings. They used to have a whole line called "Sol Survivor," but otherwise, they list the upf rating in the items' descriptions. I'm a crossing guard in Phoenix, so I'm always on the lookout for good upf clothing, too!
Regarding Audible, I always listen at faster speeds. It’s not cheating!
Oh man..tea tree oil caused me to have a HORRIBLE rash all over my face😣 took about 2 weeks to clear up
hi! im currently having the same issue. may i ask how you heal/handle it? because right now i just cleanse with mild cleanser and moisturize with avene tolerance rich cream. thank you x
I LOVE tea tree oil! Been using it for years. When I notice a small pimple under the skin, I put a single drop of tea tree oil in my face wash in my hand and massage it into my skin and wash it off. Works every damn time.
It’s a staple in my skin care/medicinal cabinet
You do not want leave tea tree oil on the face. Of course it’s going to burn and possibly leave a skin rash.
It’s the most powerful antiseptic, antimicrobial, antibacterial oil. It’s been around for thousands of years. If used properly, it can kill all the bacteria that causes acne. People just don’t know how to use it properly
@@theressagracia4958 do u have a rash or raised bumps
@@ladyluna4942 thats how i used it...i guess i must just have an allergy to it 😣
@@kristilambert3416 You used ONE Single drop mixed with your lathered up face cleaner?
I only wash the skin with the mixture for a max of 10 seconds and wash off really well. Maybe u should try only 5 seconds next time.
Tea tree oil is extremely powerful. I think people slather on TT without realizing they can cause serious burning to their skin. But if used properly, it can literally heal and prevent acne as well as dandruff.
It kills more germs, bacteria and viruses than household cleaners.
I literally just bought that mascara an hour ago! Excited to try it!

Hi Dr dray :) Happy Sunday
Happy Sunday
That shaving tip made my day. I never moisturize my under arms. Also I have been alternating Differin and Cerave....oops 😬 but I am getting no irritation. My favorite and first retinol was the Neutrogena Rapid Repair purple capsules. Would love to see you compare them to Cerave and Differin! Thanks for your videos.
Love the vibes Happy Sunday 🐎💛🐎🐎💛💛💛🐎🐎🐎
Happy Sunday
She is as cute as a button. I'm thankful for Dr. Dray. 🤗♥️
Andrea, over here in Belgium they now (Aldi & Lidl for sure) do an Islandic type yogurt called "Skyr" and it doesn't taste like yogurt that much, more a mix of yogurt and chunk-free cottage cheese. It has a *lot, a lot* of protein in it and it is just plain wonderful. Thought I'd share! :) They should have it in the US!
Love love love the shopping vids..wish I had had this advise a long time ago..but ty for your expertise ☺️
Bath and Bodyworks is currently having their semi-annual sale.
Thanks for the heads up
Idk why people have gotten so obsessed with tea tree oil on the skin. The only thing I’ve ever used it for (in the past) was sanitizing the toilet bowl.
It helps a lot when you have acne. Usually in products for oily/ breakout prone skin.
I do know why and is because was the ONLY thing that helped me with my acne, is GONE, haven't change my routine in 6 years. Idk why people are so unable to understand that skins are different and different things work for some.
@@jana_lee YES!!!. tea tree it is the holy grail for acne. I've used it religiously to treat my acne my whole life. It's so effective. Yes! People do have different skin!! Thank you!!! It has never ever in 20 years burned my skin. It was exactly what my oily/breakout skin needed. Just bc some people have had a bad reaction doesn't mean it's not a valuable resource. It's really a miracle and people who have struggled w and suffered from acne understand.
Thank you for answering about alternating vitamin a!

@@DrDrayzday I have the Inkey List retionol, it's my first and didnt know what to buy so went inexpensively. I have been using it a couple of months now about 2xs a week with no issues so I think I can do more. O really think this brand is very low strength and I need something else, but I'm not sure what to buy. After watching some of your videos I purchased the Differin with the intention of alternating, but I haven't even opened it because I wasn't sure. I'm not sure if I should use one of these or get something different altogether. At least I know not to alternate now. Is Differin stronger than Inkey List?
@@DrDrayzday p.s. I have been using Advanced Clinicals retinol lotion on my body for several months per your recommendation and I absolutely love it thank you!
Thank you So Much for the shaving advise!!!!! I will definitely heed it as I've been suffering from ingrown hairs.
