these boxes are so not worth the money, but I guess for newbies who don't know any better they fit the bill.
I was, and am still, a newbie when it comes to this. I have no real direction, no guidance. It was/is overwhelming and I still have no idea where to really start or how to do anything. I liked that this box provided me a taste of different things and ideas. It gave me spells, herbs, candles, incense, tools to use. I liked the themes. I also do not have a local or nearby metaphysical shop or store.
I did not start on this path and get these boxes as a guide, however. My enjoyment and interest in Wicca and Paganism actually bloomed from receiving this service. My original purpose with these subscription boxes and services was to take very small and not well known boxes that do not have any credibility or reviews yet and to do just that. I unbox and review so that others who may have interest can see what they’re signing up for. I do this because I hate being in that position myself and often scour for reviews and unboxings or videos before purchasing things. That, and, if the box is good, they get a possible boost from the video review. Usually, I do two boxes per service, to compare months, and then move on to the next box. But, I just kind of fell in love with my first box from WitchCrate and decided to keep receiving it, just for me.
That is totally fine if you do not enjoy the service or feel it's not worth the price. I actually tend to agree and no longer actively support this service due to the mess their customer service is and these shipping issues currently going on. However, you're comment is a bit insensitive and comes off a bit rude as these types of boxes are actually a great way to start for those who don't know how or where to. That is another big reason why I choose Metaphysical services and boxes to review and unbox so that others in my position can determine what service feels right for them if they're looking for a subscription box.
Oh yes, I agree. But after watching videos about several different kinds of boxes I must say that this is the case with a lot of these. But Yogis and Buddhists get ripped off as well with their boxes too.
Are you in third grade or something? Are we playing fortnite? Newbies? Instead of welcoming someone and giving them direction when they may only be able to learn through something like this with suggested spells and materials you make fun. Shame shame.
Hey there! Whether you're new or an old viewer visiting this video, I want to take the time that I do not support this service. I want to warn all of you, if Witch Crate ever pops back up to avoid it at all costs. The person behind this box stopped sending out the boxes to subscribers and continued to charge them. Most people still have not gotten their money back, and very well may never get it back due to the events that transpired and the service no longer existing. If it ever pops back up, do not purchase a box. The owner is not to be trusted and you will very well lose your money.
+Hannah Roush Nah, not going to do that for a couple of reasons. First, this is still an unboxing and review of a product, despite me not supporting the company anymore. I also do not believe in removing my content or necessary in this case. All videos from me on this service have cards and large annotations throughout the video itself stating the same thing as I put here in the comments, which you can see of you watch or rewatch the video. Its even in the playlist's and video description. I've covered my bases about me not supporting it and why many times over. I'm not going to remove my content. Especially not when the service does not exist any more. Also, there is a chance people won't see or watch the lengthy video of what's happened and why not to support it. Those who just found me might find this video first which covers greater ground in notifying people about staying away I think.

it is charcoal for burning. and the she'll is an abaloni shell and you don't catch your ash you use the coal and load your smudge ingredients and the feather to fan the smoke the holes are used for air flow to sspread the smome and breath
you light the sage and place it in the shell waving a feather or your hand over it to keep the air circulating. You just tilt the shell a little and it will avoid going out the holes. The shells are able to take the heat

Jen Burleigh you should not use your hand especially when you're getting rid of negative energy. The negative energy will get caught up on your hand which will make negative energy follow you everywhere

I thought the stone on the candle was a piece of gum! I was like " Who would ship that?!"
So did I! Apparently, it's normal and a good thing as the stone's properties infuse with the candle. However, I was not a fan of the way they did it as that glue could damage the stones, which I feel does more harm than good.
Agreed, a wax or putty might have been a better choice. Or plastic wrap, idk...

i know that felling im from Wyoming the closet pagan store is 200 miles one way which is why I shop at azuregreen.net its like pagan wallmart they have everything you could want and couple things you wouldn't lol and a wide range of prices hope that helps great video but I think ill pass on witch crate

Thanks for posting this video so everyone can see what its like, but I wouldn't spend money on this product. I feel like the materials used in witchcraft should be collected slowly over time so that you can build a connection with each object. Like, I buy tools and materials online, but I pick all my crystals unless they are given to me.
I am positive that there are supposed to be holes. You put what you want to burn inside and the holes are for air and the feather is to fan the smoke towards you for a form of cleansing.
Yes it is charcoal... The Shell naturally has holes and is the traditional she'll used by Native Americans when smudging!!!!

There wasn't anything wrong with the boxes until the end of the year when the owner lost her marbles. I received some of my favorite items from this box that I still use today. It's just a shame.
I'm not talking about the service. I'm talking about the Objects in the box itself.
You mean incense, abalone shell, feathers, sage, selenite, herbs, and pillar candles? Definitely not screaming trap to me. This was one of the best boxes I ever received from this service. I definitely didn't get a bad feeling from these items and still don't despite where things went. These are all common and lovely items. As someone who lived through the horror that is this box, and has received nearly a years worth of them, this was the most normal and my favorite out of them. It got me started and I still use these items today.
Aventurine is a manipulative stone- the Medusa incense is dangerous and some of the more Neutral things live abalone the selenite and others tend to play with your subconscience. It doesn't have to be true but I recommend that you will talk to some diviner you trust to check this up.

I love your honest criticism of these boxes. I found Tamed Wild through your channel. I’ve been in the Craft for over 22 years but lack a vehicle and have disabilities that make public transport a nightmare so I wanted a good Witchy Subscription. I think I will try Sabbat Box and Witches Moon next.

I can see that the first box there is pretty good but if it isn't explaining the items correctly then what's the point. I would still hang on to the stuff and I would encourage you to read a book by Dion Fortune called Psychic Self Défense, which deals with protection etc and I would say that it is an essential read for anyone embarking on this path.

Get sabbot box, They're way better than WitchCrate. A lot of people have been scammed from Witchcrate.
36 Moon Box is a nice and trusted wiccan/pagan/witch subscription with crystal(s), small bundle of incense, herbs, a candle with a ritual depending on the monthly box, oil (from what I've seen they have an herb or two inside and a crystal like clear quartz), white sage or white sage with other things blended into it. I can't say for sure if that's in every box because they have the freedom to change it up, I'm new to all of this and I've been binge watching Moon Box videos from Toxic Tears (UK goth channel, she's very nice)
Right from the top the shell is pronounced Ab ill ony and the stone is a lodestone (load stone) but I was taught that they should be found on the shore with a hole in the middle made by the action of the sea. They are also supposed to be magnetic. I can't remember if you got the aventurine (avent you reen) bracelet in this or the last. I'm not having a go at you but just trying to understand how much of a scam these boxes are in the light of your latest encounters. Aventurine is a semi precious gemstone and it looks pretty much like it should. I have been doing this stuff for over forty years so...don't think I am picking on you I just wanted to understand the whole story and maybe give you something to shove back in these people's faces if they're giving you a hard time for telling the truth. I will comment on the ones to date and hopefully get you some recompense even if it is just by knowing that you are in the right. The reason this whole thing annoys me so much is that they're making a profit on these boxes and I was taught that information and anything that is needed supply-wise can usually be found in nature. ..ok charcoal bricks aren't easy to find and some essential oils are expensive. If the person who runs this subscription is in any way knowledgeable about these things then they should know that any bad done will come back threefold. I think I can maybe help with that because I am taking this from an objective standpoint (and already I think it is a rip off but let me watch up to date.
I'm sorry...but I would much rather Create my own items. Because I am Blessing them while I create them. And I can be Sure that the Only Energy connected to any given piece is My Own.

'smudging' is cultural appropriaton. Its reserved for native Americans who use it in their cultures. The term, atleast. 'air cleansing' is better.
I do want to say that that is how it is listed and described in the box. It was called a "sage smudge stick" and had a small paragraph describing the history and benefits of 'smudging'. Because it is written this way, I'm going to read and describe it as such in the video. Second, thank you for reaching out to me. I apologize if you felt offended by my use of the word. However, I'm really not someone who is politically correct. If we are going to be politically correct here, however, then the term you looking for is Indigenous and not Native American.
I'm not really sure where this stems from; meaning who decided and why it suddenly became bad to use the word "smudge" if you're not Native American. The way I see it, it's just a word that describes an action/practice. No matter what term you use, you're doing the same thing. So why is using the actual term for the practice wrong? It's not insulting, it's not demeaning, it's not a bad word with a bad meaning. This whole argument feels very Tumblr spawned. Especially since I can't find any information when googling about smudging but the moment I add "Tumblr" or "appropriation" to my search terms I'm booming with results. All from Tumblr.
If this is an arugment you really stand behind and believe, I do recommend maybe doing a bit more reading and reasearch on this subject. Such as where the term "smudge" comes from. That the act of burning sage or herbs isn't unique to Native American culture. All of the items in these boxes can be bought much cheaper individually. The whole thing is a waster of money. Do your own research online. There's a wealth of spells and ingredients to be found. And, as I already said, at much cheaper prices than this box.

Please, do not confuse your path with mine. Not anywhere do I ever say you need or are required to buy items for praticing witchcraft. A persons path is their own and how they choose to walk it is a-ok. However, if you wish to explore the world of subscription boxes that is what I am here for. I review these boxes for my viewers who may be interested in them. Not everyone has access to shops or can physically drive places. Not everyone is a veteran at practicing. I first jumped into these boxes as a way to learn different things and fill up my shelf with tools. I wanted to share this experience. I still use things from the boxes I received in 2016. I still reference books from these boxes. My path is right and is ok. It does not need to mirror anyone else's. Thanks for watching.

This was difficult to watch. Does any witch know that those are charcoal for burning incense and also the abalone shell is for smudging and those holes will not release ashes onto your hands, they are tiny. I can get that at my local witch store for less. Not good here.
Sorry you didn't enjoy. And, no, when I first started out and was learning I did not know what these things were for or how to use them. This was nearly three years ago now. I have since learned. What I have always had with me from the beginning, however, was the ability to not be judgemental and, rather than be smug and stick up my nose, to teach or aid those who don't know things I may know or understand. Well that makes your comments even more insulting as I do practice. The whole reason I started getting these boxes and do these videos is to first, start learning when I didnt have any idea where to really start. And, second, help others find boxes, kits, items, and to also just generally help those also find their start. I am now over two years into my practice and have over 2000 people who have followed me on this journey. A good number of those people I have helped find their own path and helped get started on their own journey. You are not a nice person and your comments bring nothing constructive or productive.

Understanding The Mark of The Beast and True History
The prophecy of Revelation 13 declares that the power represented by the beast with lamblike horns shall cause "the earth and them which dwell therein" to worship the papacy-there symbolized by the beast "like unto a leopard." The beast with two horns is also to say "to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast;" and, furthermore, it is to command all, "both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond," to receive the mark of the beast. Revelation 13:11-16. It has been shown that the United States is the power represented by the beast with lamblike horns, and that this prophecy will be fulfilled when the United States shall enforce Sunday observance, which Rome claims as the special acknowledgment of her supremacy. But in this homage to the papacy the United States will not be alone. The influence of Rome in the countries that once acknowledged her dominion is still far from being destroyed. And prophecy foretells a restoration of her power. "I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." Verse 3. The infliction of the deadly wound points to the downfall of the papacy in 1798. After this, says the prophet, "his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." Paul states plainly that the "man of sin" will continue until the second advent. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-8. To the very close of time he will carry forward the work of deception. And the revelator declares, also referring to the papacy: "All that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life." Revelation 13:8. In both the Old and the New World, the papacy will receive homage in the honor paid to the Sunday institution, that rests solely upon the authority of the Roman Church.
The Mark of the Beast.--When Sunday observance shall be enforced by law, and the world shall be enlightened concerning the obligation of the true Sabbath, then whoever shall transgress the command of God, to obey a precept which has no higher authority than that of Rome, will thereby honor popery above God. He is paying homage to Rome, and to the power which enforces the institution ordained by Rome. He is worshiping the beast and his image. As men then reject the institution which God has declared to be the sign of His authority, and honor in its stead that which Rome has chosen as the token of her supremacy, they will thereby accept the sign of allegiance to Rome,--"the mark of the beast." And it is not until the issue is thus plainly set before the people, and they are brought to choose between the commandments of God and the commandments of men, that those who continue in transgression will receive "the mark of the beast."
Reception of Mark of the Beast Future.--The change of the Sabbath is the sign or mark of the authority of the Romish church. Those who, understanding the claims of the fourth commandment, choose to observe the false sabbath in the place of the true, are thereby paying homage to that power by which alone it is commanded. The mark of the beast is the papal sabbath, which has been accepted by the world in the place of the day of God's appointment.
No one has yet received the mark of the beast. The testing time has not yet come. There are true Christians in every church, not excepting the Roman Catholic communion. None are condemned until they have had the light and have seen the obligation of the fourth commandment. But when the decree shall go forth enforcing the counterfeit sabbath, and the loud cry of the third angel shall warn men against the worship of the beast and his image, the line will be clearly drawn between the false and the true. Then those who still continue in transgression will receive the mark of the beast.
With rapid steps we are approaching this period. When Protestant churches shall unite with the secular power to sustain a false religion, for opposing which their ancestors endured the fiercest persecution, then will the papal sabbath be enforced by the combined authority of church and state. There will be a national apostasy, which will end only in national ruin.
When Seal of God Is Refused.--If the light of truth has been presented to you, revealing the Sabbath of the fourth commandment, and showing that there is no foundation in the Word of God for Sunday observance, and yet you still cling to the false sabbath, refusing to keep holy the Sabbath which God calls "My holy day," you receive the mark of the beast. When does this take place? When you obey the decree that commands you to cease from labor on Sunday and worship God, while you know that there is not a word in the Bible showing Sunday to be other than a common working day, you consent to receive the mark of the beast, and refuse the seal of God.--Review and Herald, July 13, 1897
