By that way of thinking the native Americans are not native because they came over the ice bridge and didn’t just start here. If you are born somewhere and spend your entire childhood somewhere your a native of that place.

Unfortunately modern society / academia seemed to forget the world existed before modern times were America came into being. Humans have conquered each others nations and cultures endlessly and honestly enslaved each other endlessly too. When people start talking about oh poor one group or let’s give reparations to one group it makes me want to smash my head into a wall.
With this way of thinking all of modern Europe and the Middle East and Northern Africa owe reparations and land to the Italians. And the Italians owe land then to the nations that existed before the Roman Empire was their. It really gets out of hand if your truly for equality and you think one nations people were wronged by tactics used by every nation and people since the beginning of recorded human history. Humans suck basically that’s the only universal truth.

@cs-lw2pn Who said ignore that things have ever happened or justify things that did happen? I just think eternally giving a group of people whose current individuals were not alive during the event reparations / land is largely misguided. It’s a never ending snowball effect if you want true equality. I’m not saying we should forget or not learn from past events. Just that we shouldn’t give victim badges to descendants of the victims. Otherwise every human is a victim and it creates toxic victim / terrorizer culture that divides modern people that should learn from the past, and how to improve upon it together.

So 13% of the US population are inmigrants. It's the same percent we have in Spain, but our per capita income is clearly lower and our unemployement is much higher. I hear all the time that inmigration is a major problem in the States, but I see the figures are not that outstanding. Much lower than in Germany, for example.
