Brilliant Mick, great cometary all the way through 👏🎣👏🎣👏
Thanks for watching
Lovely hour spent with you and Joe by the river, thank you for all the information and enjoyment, your videos just get better and better.
Thanks 👍
Listening to Mick Vials talk about fishing is equally as enjoyable to watching him fish and talk tactics.
'Small baits catch big fish in the daytime' is absolutely true around these parts too. A valuable bit of info for those not fishing into dark in summer.
:) thanks for watching
Great story and history of the Trent, absolutely ❤️ it. Great tactics and approach well explained keep posting Mick & Jo 👍🏻👏🏻👌🏻
Thanks for watching
Brilliant Mick you can park behind your peg from peg 24 to 106 and pay the bailiff on the bank Dawn till dusk
Great piece of river
Excellent video mick proper fishing for proper fish brilliant 💪
It was fantastic :)
Great work gents, what a team you two are now. I fish a little downstream from there and it’s a great place! Thanks for your work.
Thanks for watching and the kind words
Superb gentleman once again 👏👏👏
Thank you again
Awesome entertainment Mick. Great fishing with great barbel. I love fishing on big tidal rivers.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video to watch Mick. Awesome fishing on barbel. Thnx for all the inside info. Btw, I use anchor feeders, for i can use less weight.
Thanks for watching
Cracking video mick..
Thanks for watching
Brilliant video guys. 👏👏 Nothing like catching barbel and lots of great advise in this piece. 👍
It brought back plenty of of childhood memories for me too as my dad used to take me pleasure fishing at Collingham and we often fished club matches on the opposite bank at Carlton in the 70’s. In fact, I can still remember drawing in the back of that bay opposite.
did you catch?
Brilliant video as usual Mick, brings back a lot of memories fishing matches on the trent...
We could do a video a week in the Trent and mick would have enough stories to carry it 👍🏻
Brilliant Mick, Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Super video!
Thank you very much!
Cracking video Mick . Very informative and also picked up a few things from you . Lovely barbel

👍🏻thanks for checking it out
Loverly presented video Mick, my mate and I are coming to the Trent for 3/4 days this week. We can’t wait -
Wow let us know how you do :)
Hi mick nice action in the rod to get the fish in I basically youse the same method 😻
Nice one!
Brilliant Captain 👏, I'll put it in my armoury for Sunday 😊
⚫️🟡
Brilliant fishing and video , used to fish a lot opposite bank at Carlton on trent, hit a salmon there and never seen anything go upstream so fast as it waved goodbye to Me clearing the surface like a dolphin, there really are some fabulous fish there.
Wow!!!
Great vid mick enjoyed it
👍🏻
THe one fish I have not really fished for often, need to change that, great video, thanks for the information.
You need to have a go!
Felt like I was there, but not. Trip north soon, and the car might develop a fault somewhere near there.
Any info on where to get those add-on leads? Dead cows are so hard to find locally these days. No big rivers near me. Please and thanks.
Thanks for your continued support Steve. As far as dead cow leads are concerned, shops in and around the Trent usually have a good stock of them. Benwick could be worth a look too as they are normally good for specialist bits like that
good lad Mick Vials🥰
👍🏻
Another superb video from Nufish, Mick is so good at presenting things on layman's terms, wonderful filming from Joe, on the ariel shots, what are the lake's in the background 🤔
There are lots of gravel pits in the area, some are fishing lakes others are nature reserves.
Hi mick , brilliant video Carnt wait to go there, question is do you make your lead add ins or can I buy them , cheers dave
If you google dead cow leads you should find stockists 👍🏻
Great video team Nu Fish, can I ask what rod was Mick using please. 👍🏻👍🏻
It’s an old Preston monster 13ft. It’s a tippy rod that is perfect for powerful rivers
Fantastic video loved it ,can I ask your unhooking Matt what model is it thankyou
Hi we used a korum fast mat which is an excellent and safe way to handle these fish 👍🏻
@@NuFish thankyou I'll order one looks perfect ,thankyou for fast reply
Hi there Mick. I am heading up to collingham tomorrow and was just wondering if you know of any good pegs that arnt right next to the weir?
This was peg 86 with the weir being 1. It’s a great area 👍🏻
@@NuFish Couldn't get on peg 86 (there were people fishing from the other side and they restrict that area a bit), but your video and the fact that I went up to peg 86 at first led me to try a peg very close to 86, as close as I could get. (as I did on my first trip with no success and like most seem to do at collingham, without your info I would have tried cramming myself in on one of the pegs nearer the weir like everyone does)
Anyway, my second time ever on the Trent, with your informative video and peg info, I ended up having a bit of a red-letter day with 9 barbel, 3 of which were double figures and up to 12.9 lb.
Got to subscribe to your channel for that, pal. And thank you!!!
Nice tales...what reel is that please ?
It is an old Browning Black Viper. Really tough and durable reels
Is this a club water??? Can ya night fish??? Looking somewhere different than A1 pit’s as ever man & his dog wants to fish there
There is no night fishing, but it is day tickets on the bank
Thanks for replying
Great video and the Barbel is a wonderful creature. Sadly, for me, they (the Barbel ) have ruined match fishing on the Trent (as i knew it). Moving to Norfolk, active match scene down there. No Barbel !!. Just Bream & Roach. Anyone want to buy a BBQ, a campbed, a glorified tent & a bite alarm?!.
Chuck it all in the skip. For your Norfolk trip, you want a pint of reds, a 13ft rod, 3.2 bayer on your reel, 2lb hooklength and a 20 hook 👍
@19:36 A thing of beauty. 👍
:)
@@NuFish barbel not Mick 😂
