  • Hello everyone and thank you for watching this PlanesWeekly video!
On June 18, 2020, the spotters at Vancouver International Airport were treated to a rare and welcomed sight of an Air India Boeing 777-300ER.
The aircraft, registered VT-ALR, touched down on runway 26R in spectacular morning sun after an impressive 15 hour flight direct from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, India.
Air India performed this special flight repatriation flight for Canadians stranded in India during the coronavirus/covid-19 pandemic.
Thanks to Air India for sending this big bird and for bringing Canadians home.
As always, we hope you enjoy the video.
    Safe and happy flying!

The B777-300. Am in awe of this amazing piece of poetic machinery! And I am even more awed that Emirates airlines has 132 of 'em!!!
