This model is basically for people who want HDR without spending 4K money. I've seen more than one person comment that HDR makes more of a difference than 4K does, Linus Tech Tips' video on 4K Blu-rays comes to mind. It will support a 4K HDR input but the resolution will be still be 1080p. Optoma also makes a model like this one that supports HDR but is still 1080p.

Hey bro I have a projector also to answer your question on the optical option. I have the hdmi to the projector from my PlayStation now my optical cord from my PlayStation 4 to my Bose lifestyle. That’s the only way to do it to get the full 5.1 surround for now

Yeah dude, this doesn’t display a 4k image, it just plays 4k content in 1080p. If you’re gonna review products, you need to be better informed and not unintentionally misinform your viewers.

People are using this video as reference to spend a couple thousand dollars, maybe a bit blunt, but not rude

Hello, can you tell me, how you did it, to adjust the color and the tint, because by doing advanced adjustment, there is nothing to indicate where I am not seen .... and thank you for your videos of good humor😀👍 benq th685

By the way I'm using Optoma UHD50X on my Xbox Series X I'm playing 4K HDR on a campaign. But when I'm in FPS online competition I used 1080p 18ms it's fast enough I already FUTURE PROOF my Optoma uhd50x projector.

Thank you for making great review! I have a small question if you dont mind, can you notice any motion blur when there is a fast movement in games or movies in your projector? Id love to know because im noticing some motion blur and judder on my Optoma GT1080Darbee which i love but wish they added frame interpolation to reduce the motion blur. Please let me know thank you again!

So from the testings of playing FPS Games, I haven't noticed any type of significant motion blur. Unfortunately I don't play any racing games so I don't know how that is but with FPS Gaming like Apex, COD, etc, I don't notice it that much

The projector has HDMI you don't need a optical port. BenQ needs to remove those hideous VGA ports

STOP! Misunderstanding your viewers this is NOT a 4K native resolution it's a 1080p HDR that enables 4k .Optoma 50x is a real 4k hdr gaming projector. Also enough talk show some game play

You did a great job informative wise, but a terrible review of the product... The video was like you was looking for face time... Bro,
If you showed more game play letting us seen what the product looked like vs as you this vid would of been much better... Your video should be 70/30, 70% show what product looks like, how it function ways to set up or you've set it up, how much heat it puts off, what feats separate this from the rest and what makes it the same or worse...
End with I'll see you guys in the next one, not ✌️, terrible. This was my first time seeing your content, you didn't do bad sir, just didn't do enough demonstration to warrant me to wanna come back, for more... Good luck, take care, hope you the best in the future... Later bro...

@@Tech_HD1 you got it bro, just wanted you to be able to get more viewers. Plus I know the confidence, preparation, and work it takes to do what you do. If your going to be on screen, you have to give rich details analysis of the showcasing items to do yourself justice, if your just showing mostly the product people tend to judge you less, because they see you less... You know out of site outta mind...
People on cam usually should have strong analysis information, statistics, technical in depths pro/cons.
But like I said keep going, drop fire, you on the right path.
Stay focused, be safe, and blessings good sir.

I appreciate it bro😊 Yea usually I have a script and a teleprompter set up so that I can keep the video short and still cover everything that I wanna talk about and just have a bunch of B-Roll. I don't know I didn't do it for this video and I think that affected my video negatively😭

You're wrong on the specs and thumbnail it isnt 4k. It's 1080p native. It can try and fake 4k but it still outputs at 1080p....
Frankly if you have the basics wrong I can't trust your opinion on the quality of this product. If you can't see a difference between 1080p and 4k how can we trust that you say this is a good picture?

Yea this is one of the videos I regret with due to the miss information and I've worked along with BenQ for the video and asked them questions like that to be more accurate but the way everything was worded was confusing and not straight forward. I wanted to create an updated video on it because I still use it to this day and even added a screen instead of just using my wall. I will most likely upgrade the projector however and just do a video on that and do better with that one. I'm sorry about the misinformation
