Présentation Aéroport La Rochelle Ile de Ré - Introducing La Rochelle Airport

Here is a short footage of La Rochelle Airport, located in western France on the atlantic coast. It serves the city of La Rochelle as well as the Ile de Ré. It accomodated 233 000 passengers in 2019, and roughly a third of this number in 2020 due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Even though the industry is slowing down, Luxair is planning to start its operations in May 2021 with DHC-8 Q400 flying in twice a week. That is a really good news if confirmed, since the airport is suffering from the loss of flyBe routes in the summer, in addition to the global downsizing of airlines flight schedule.

C'est plus grand que Beziers. On franchira pas les 300.000 en 2020. Tel était l objectif. Pour le moment on a juste la liaison Ryanair pour Charleroi le jeudi et samedi. On espère le 4 décembre la reprise sur Beauvais 3 fois par semaine.
Il est loiiiiin le temps avec 9 destinations 😭😭😭

C’est déjà une bonne chose de garder la liaison avec Charleroi, surtout quand on voit le retrait total de Ryanair de l’aéroport de Toulouse par exemple!

@@FrenchSpotter c'est difficile de spotter car aucun traffic. Faudra attendre saison 2021 pour avoir quelque chose. Je regrette que j'ai pas assez spotter le mois dernier a Basel Mulhouse mais c'est seulement Easyjet et Wizz. Et loupé de peu le 747-400 de Barhain 👎👎🍌. Maintenant il reste héliport de l hôpital avec un bell 429 F-HBEK.
Encore faut il être là ,et quand il vient c'est grave
