I love making my characters neurodivergent, it makes them more relatable but I can’t animate stimming for the life of meee-
Stimming doesn't only have to be physical it can also be vocal! and it can be simple things such as rocking back and forth or even dancing! hope it helps :)
As an autistic person I fins it really sweet that you mentioned stimming! It isn't shown much in the gacha community and the rare moments when it's brought up always gives me a little happiness boost❤

I do not understand why I make this simple pattern of kids having terrible parents as trauma, it’s nice adding backstories to oc’s but this has been a pattern of mine for years.
I’m really happy you mentioned stimming, as someone with ADHD it’s annoying when creators of gacha say that this character is neurodivergent than not actually adding anything else but the title of it
TYSM FOR THE STIM EXAMPLES!! I can’t animate stims for the life of me even though i want to put them into one of my OC’s stories, so ty!!
When I saw the part that said that if you want to make your character neurodivergent to do your proper research my first thought was “Wow I’m over qualified for this part!” (Me with Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia)
I'm seriously deeply impressed SO MUCH from this video,like i mean the way you express the emotions and the way you're talking and expressing the point you're making!! i adore you SO MUCH Socks!!! Plus,this video will totally help SO MUCH! i'd love it if you make part two,or even other parts too!
other than that,i've realised how much i have in common with Sam at this point,like having a trauma during childhood/youth times,and more getting along with older people and expressing happiness by hugging.
Note: I wish i could express my feelings better to you for you to understand how much i admire you and your work for a long time!!

I have an OC named Sacora who used to be a heavy drinker in the past but stopped ever since she met Heather and Solar
Still, she does smoke here and there to cope with stress but she mostly just lays around or never goes out a lot
She is a laidback person who can be sarcastic, she’s like an aunt who gives out advice or teaches younger people (Like Solar) about dangerous stuff and doesn't sugar a lot
That's the idea I have of her lol
Heather used to be in a cult and lost her firstborn when she met Solar when she was a baby, She raised her herself when Solar’s mom was not around, She used to be overprotective, but as Solar got older, she had to learn to let go and have her take risks, which made Solar wild and reckless, Heather does try her best to not overprotect Solar now but she does struggle so Sacora has to remind her
Heather was having a hard time getting used to Sacora since she’s a demon, a blood moon demon, they did get along over the years.
Heather was taught that befreinding a hell fire demon is bad enough but feeling some sort love or lust towards them means your soul is unclean and if you pray for forgiveness, your soul will be cleansed and you won’t feel love or lust from them again
But when she fell in love with a hellfire demon, after her soul was “cleansed” she couldn't stop the feeling, Even though she left the cult, a part of her felt scared to fall in love
That's all I have for now lol

I love realistic trauma (if that makes sense)
I have another example for behaviors like for one my characters they lose theyre child so they have a habit of being overprotective with kids they know.
Man, I’m COMPLETELY with you! I’m kind of apart of the gacha community too but I actually want to be a real writer, I’m so glad your trying to help them out cause Y’know… some of their “stories” are… ahem “unique” sometimes. Anyway, I do have advice um… please please wait longer before changing texts omg 🥲 I only watched half the video cause I have to pause every single time the text change, we have zero time to read it lad. My technique for adding text to vids is to read the text at a slightly slow pace and cut it once I’m done reading or maybe a second or 2 after I’m done reading

Backstory: Had abusive parents, had his parents die in a car crash, had to live on the streets and take care of his younger brother, got heavily bullied, almost lost his eye, ect, ect…

And i have a charector who has the fear mirror the reason is bc the mirror reflects her past when she was in a disturbung event-
