- At the lallantop special segment 'Kitabwala', The latest author who has arrived on the scene is Nasreen Munni Kabir with her book- In The Year of Sahir 2021 Diary. In the session, Nasreen Munni Kabir and The Lallantop ediotor Saurabh Dwivedi held an interaction on Sahir Ludhianvi, to commemorate his 100th birth anniversary on 8 March. Earlier, this year, Nasreen had launched a diary with respect to the Indian poet. Nasreen Munni Kabir is a renouned UK-based documentary film maker and the author of 20 books in Hindi film. Watch this interview for unheard anecdotes of film industry.

Sahir was not only a philosophic and romantic male as a poet, but he also represented female characters in his songs with utmost feminine sensibilities.
The two songs for instance that I quoted below from the film ' Chitra Lekha' are just two specimens of his deep and beautiful understanding of the feminine aspect of love and life..!!.

गाने के बोल को एक गायिका मेलोडिक तो संगीतकार रिदमिक बताता है यानी लेखन में जादू है ❤️

Yes it is a very well-written account of the life of genius, who passed away so soon..
Great program. But I feel that when talking about filmi songs of Sahir, one ought to talk about about Roshan and Khayyam also. Those folks took Sahir sahib's creation to a different levels. Ravi also deserves respectful mention for setting the memorable songs of Gumraah and Hamraaj to fantastic music.
Even I have a personal connection with Sahir, with Saurabh. My first job.

साहिर साहब की गगनचुंबी महानता के बावजूद उनकी हैरतअंगेज जिस संकीर्णता को मै कभी नजरअंदाज नहीं कर पाया वह था उनका 1965 के भारत-पाक युद्ध के दौरान देशभक्ति के गीत लिखने के अनुरोध को अस्वीकार कर देना जबकि 3 वर्ष पूर्व ही भारत-चीन युद्ध के वक्त उन्होंने "वतन की आबरू खतरे मे है" लिखा था।

साहिर साहब उर्दू के बहुत बड़े इंक़लाबी शायर थे, अपने लिखे हर गाने मे एक सदेश देते हुए सुना जाता है! औरत की इज़्ज़त का भरपूर ख्याल रखते थे! साहिर साहब अपने लिखे गीतों मे प्यार शब्द का प्रयोग नही करते थे किया भी है तो शायद बहुत कम
कभी कभी उनकी बहुत पुरानी शायरी थी, जिसे 1977 की फ़िल्म कभी कभी संगीतकार ख्याम के कहने पर पूरा लिख और फ़िल्म गाने का रूप दिया!

I did not have much exposure to hindi or urdu literature, however, I really like it and your show has been extremely interesting in understanding many if the nuances. One lifetime is inadequate to submerge in all the wealth of literature

(said Einstein of Mahatma Gandhi)” Sahir’s poetry & wisdom would shine on this earth long after we have perished. SAHIR= Wisdom of Aristotle+Brilliance of Einstein. Sahir Ludhianvi was FIRST A PHILOSOPHER who wrote poetry to convey his GOD GIVEN WISDOM & life experiences of his own to common man for his/her welfare in his poetry.
