    Long time Franco Nevada shareholder, I began switching to Sandstorm in Q4 2021. Very satisfied with the Hod Maden/Horizon transaction and the Nomad merger. Today I'm selling some Franco Nevada and buying Nomad to keep my Sandstorm premerger interest. I hope Sandstorm won't be forced to hike the dividend. Good job Nolan! Nice capital allocation buying royalties, buying cheaper royalties companies and buying back shares when they are cheap.

    My largest holding....been buying since 2018. If we get gold rising above $2,100 USD, Copper at ATH's, and silver can break $31 USD then the cash flow multiplier from these metal price increases are going to be quite shocking for the royalties! Lets hope that no major global energy crisis in scale happen as to shut down mining operations in certain locations. The cash flow that Royalty companies receive will not be affected by high inflation in energy to the extent the mining companies must deal with. Even with gold/silver/copper prices rising, the rising energy costs due to inflation are offsetting metals price gains for the actual miners. Gold is such an important strategic and monetary asset that these large gold mines are vitally important to a nations bank/currency reserves(gold is money/currency). I do not worry about mine nationalization because doing so would cut foreign investment and loans to any nation who sizes a gold mine. They are far to important and are often a huge source of tax revenue, jobs, and exports gains of smaller countries. Nobody knows what gold will do once it really breaks all time highs in USD, will it go to $2,500/$3,00 quickly? Will it crash because we get into a deep recession in the US as our GDP is now Negative -1.4%? Gold is at or near all time highs in Japanese Yen, Turkish Lira, and Russian Ruble. Gold has always been rare to hold, only the wealthiest people have traditionally owned gold dating back to antiquity. If you can obtain it you are considered fortunate as most of the planet lives off a few dollars per day. Gold will always be ancient money, its also mysteriously manipulated market with many conspiracies. if your so fortunate l believe you should always have exposure to real gold and own some stock in gold/silver royalties. Inflation is destroying all of our paper currencies regardless of where you live. Gold will live on through this like it always has done. The debt based global monetary system is nearing its final peak debt spike as inflation now rages out of control. So hell yes I will own stock in the best managed gold royalty company in the world.....Sandstorm !!!!

    The management is pure genius. This is an excellent example of using efficiencies to transform the royalty stream into a mega-machine of profit. The building of a new wave of growth is the key to dynamic growth. The idea of going grom 2008 nothing to something of great value in 2022 is a LUCKY STRIKE!

    GREAT JOB, NOLAN: SAND is One of my fav...( with, of course, the hidden jewel wich is GMX, I also love MMX, ELE, VOX, OR) but as I am a little bit parano, I also own RGLD and WPM...and GROY... because I already was an ELY share Holder before the M&A. I was about to add Nomad (NSR) to my portfolio. Thank you for avoiding me one more share in my list...I will add more Sand instead.. Best regards and thank you for the impressive job you (and your team) are doing...I feel both conforted and enthousiastic...I wish you (and us) the best...!

      As a result, I added 10% to my line while the market sanctioned it by -8%; Well, I can be wrong huh? I have already demonstrated it...but on this one, I am serene, confident and ready to get back to the pot...I keep telling to my members that I like this company, and I like it even more now.... "my money is where my mouth is": it seems therefore logical that an asset which is sanctioned when it should, according to my criteria, be revalued, seems even more attractive to me.

    The stock has fallen about 10% on this news. But the only way this is dilutive is if they are overpaying for these new assets. So is this the case? Or is it just a knee-jerk reaction like what happens when there is a meaningless stock split (just in the opposite direction)? I can't see there is a big problem with doing the merger since they don't really mine anything, it's all just office work.

      Over paid at a cycle top

    • @Ill2006
      @Ill2006 2 роки тому +1

      In my 15 minutes evaluation of the deal, the long-term cash flow generation seams to have gone up 44% (2026 production increase) and the share count went up 49%. So it is slightly dilutive, about 3,4%, then the price drop looks to have gone past the dilution and today's gold's price drop.

So I try to buy low...and let the fundamentals developp...(cash flowing and balance sheet). On this specific deal, I guess more liquidity, scaling, access to capital, more exposure to Silver and Copper make me happy. sheers.

    Oh well, another gold stock in the toilet for 2 years. Annoying how long it takes for these to recover from acquisitions.
    Looks like the buy is 100% a speculation on gold price as the company doesn't add anything other than more PM.

      @@wotcherfaz Making money from GOLD is not the same as speculating on GOLD. Ideally a royalty company would create value by financing mining projects, diversification, efficiency etc. Just buying any contracts because gold may go to the moon is what got these companies in trouble last cycle.
