Me too. I felt myself in her shoes. It broke my heart she felt like that. But it broke my heart more that I would feel just as bad about myself doing that picture. That must have been so hard. However sierras curves were Every thing in that shot!

Yes, plus not everything is flattering on every body. I feel like if the panties were just a bit higher in the waist, they would have giver her tummy smoother look, and it would have made a big difference.

So glad you did this video. I *am* a supposed "perfect" size at a size 2/4 and I still feel like I look nothing like these girls in these ads and it's frustrating to think that even as a small girl, I can't live up to these standards. I had no idea so much make up and stuff went into these pictures. No wonder we can't live up to it!
I'd actually love to see similar side-by-side photos with a girl who is the same size as the VS models but a real life size 2 girl who doesn't live in the gym or wear body makeup.
I think it would be really body positive to show that it isn't even about what size you are because small girls don't look like VS models either.

I believe that all body types are beautiful but I also believe that different companies are allowed to be targeted towards a certain body type. A thin model would never be hired for a plus size company like Torrid (etc) and we think that is ok so I think it is ok for Victoria’s secret to be targeted towards thinner women. There are brands for every body type, so it is ok if not all of them are targeted towards all body shapes. I wish people would realize that body positivity isn’t only for larger people. A lot of thinner people are insecure because they aren’t curvy or “thicc” enough, and brands like Victoria’s secret that only have thinner models can empower them too, just like a plus size brand empowers bigger women (which also is wonderful).

Every launch I was left out or had to buy my special size, until I lost around 60lbs. Around that time I quit. The very last time I visited I was too small for their store, somewhere just below a 22D and still had to order online, still no in-store try-ons. Even when I was 'skinny' the '#1 lingerie store" couldn't help a screwed up body like mine. It took me a long time to get past that. I remember having a bad experience at Victoria Secret that goes hand and hand with this whole experiment. Probably 2 years ago I walked into a Victoria secret and wanted a specific bra and it wasn’t made in my size and the worker was so incredibly rude and disgusted and bothered by me that I left crying before I even got out of the mall.. so proud of your for doing this shoot for all the girls like us who struggle with things like this. I totally forgot about that experience until I saw your video and made me so appreciative that there’s girls going against what companies like this are doing 😘

Sierra’s commentary for the second photo was so real and touching. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so hard watching a UA-cam video. Just last night, I was looking through photos in my phone of myself next to my beautiful yet petite friends, sobbing. The comparison of their slim skinniness next to my more athletic and full body was disgusting to me. Pictures have always been a aspect of my life which document my body insecurities and can highlight just how different my body is. The same goes for walking into a Victoria Secret store and seeing the effortlessly perfect pictures of models on the wall, and feeling like I’m inadequate in the dressing room. I’ve always felt alone in these deeply hurtful situations compared to my petite girl friends, my petite mom, or any of my other petite loved ones. Thank you so much Sierra for being so raw and vulnerable with us in this shoot, especially with the second picture. I’ve never felt so understood before according to my body insecurities and comparisons, and it is so comforting to not feel alone.
