There's more cells when you stir the silicone in the paint, but, there's a prettier "pattern" when you *don't* stir it in. Both are pretty, but, I think I like the "less - celled," non-stirred one, the best.
I think it depends on what you are going for though. If you want a more uniform painting then don't stir, but if you are going for a more "explosive" look then I would stir.
I like both as well & I do that too. Lastnight, I did one with over-stirred Silicone oil, ( swipe technique), & followed it up with a 2nd one with several drops of silicone; not stirred, ( swipe & tilt technique), both turned out nice. Thanks for sharing!
Stirring it in I was told will give you much smaller cells , while not stirring gives larger more unusual shaped cells. This proves that lesson perfectly. I like both and they go together side by side beautifully.
Wow, what an interesting experiment! Dramatic difference in the 2 techniques. Love them both. Guess it depends on what you’re after as to whether you decide to mix or not. Thanks for sharing! I’ve done only 2 acrylic fluid pours. On one I dribbled the silicone every which way all over the paint after I poured it. What a cool effect I got. It created a bumpy textured look, as if it were done with oil paints. Had to wipe off the excess silicone once the paint dried, but that’s no big deal. Left a wonderful shine to the cured surface.
I prefer the picture that you didn’t stir the oil in to the paint.l have all the things I need but didn’t know how to use the oil and you have answered my questions,l am looking forward to having a go at this now. You You explained this project perfect,l have watched a few videos of how to do this and you explained this perfect, thank you for that.
Either effect is amazing, depending on the type of cell growth you're trying to achieve, I guess. Thank you for the experiment. I gleaned some wonderful new information from this video.
I totally thought 1 on left would have more cells but both look awesome! I gotta try stirring my paint w/silicone as I havnt been doing that! Thanks!!!
Awesome experiment pours. I personally don't like to use silicone. I like Dimethacone instead. It brings cells also. For those who don't know it's in some hair products like coconut oil and conditioners. We in the USA use OGX coconut serum. You just have to read the back and hopefully Dimethacone will be near the beginning of the ingredients. Titus, thank you for your hard work and sharing with us. Love your work very, very much.
Interessanter Versuch! Danke!
Put the colour in the glass with the same order but different colour.. pour in the same kind Canvas.. in the end.. too many beautifull coloured shape showed.. awesome..
Hello! I like this video! Thank you for the comparison. I can almost see how the silicone stayed concentrated. I am new and learning and do not want to assume too much! Rafael of RADAcrylics will stir in his silicone on the bottom layer of the cup. This is just another technique idea. As I am learning, I like to share ideas. This is a wonderful community where many of us come to learn! As we should be forever grateful, and gifting back will come. Just as we should gift forward! OK then, thank you! Blessings and Re Jouir -Darlene
They’re both amazing but I prefer the left because of the larger cell grouping and size since it wasn’t stirred and didn’t mix all the way in with all the paint like the stirred did
Thanks I love this channel.. Its soothing and so educational to this fluid art lady who really needs direction in areas still. Thanks for all the content- keep creating 🌈💗
i see a lot of people bringing up Trypophobia, but i guess i don't have it ... as bad... as cells don't bother me one bit.. even when someone connects the word to the image.... must just be one of those things you can have from mild to strong any who, i love when fluid artists do experiments, as i have to wait to be able to get paints for the canvas i have, i cant just play around, so its helpful to see others try all this stuff out. By the time i can afford a few paints, i will prob have enough knowledge to dive right in :D I love all your work
Looks like a trilobite, or a really strange lobster. Both results are quite cool in their own way and actually look like they should be displayed side-by-side as if they’re part of one larger picture. ❤️❤️
I LOVE the un-stirred piece; especially love the 'trilobite' in the corner. Would the result of stirring half the colours and not stirring the other half be a mix of big and small cells...
Thank you that is an excellent example on stirred or not stirred, do you mind if I put your link to this video on my channel and Facebook art page for my followers to see the reason I advise to stir in silicone for more cells? Tia

Honestly, I would've probably even liked the paintings more with no cells at all. They looked so pretty next to each other. xD
Just barely stir
It is in effect very interesting...
Better.
Is it just me or does the two pictures look like their from one picture next to each other like those multi canvas paintings. 😊
Not just you
Its just you!!
.....Lol!!! Naaah I was thinking the same thing. I like them both. Kewl project!! Ty for sharing!!💜💜
Nope
They really do and that‘s fascinating !
Yes the same, but one. Has oil mixed and the other not. Compared.
“Naples yellow red”
Some call it orange
looks definitely orange 😁 to me
i live in naples fl not italy lol but i love the color even more knowing it home lol
Both are gorgeous. I couldn't choose. peace by a river, or a lost in the shuffle. either way, i could spend a long time looking. lol
NOT ORANGE
I’d like to see you do one where you stirred the oil into only on color and left the rest unstirred. That could be an interesting pattern.
I'm drawn to the left one (not stirred) but love how they are both fun to look at.
I prefer the left one, but love to see how both techniques affect the final result!! Super well done, congrats

Love the non stirred side, the extra subtlety in the colour blend is gorgeous
6:02 Trypophobia : let us introduce ourselves
I don't have severe but it give me anxiety to watch 😕

Haha... Ikr...
Well I'll be darn!
I never imagined that there could be such a difference.
Cool experiment
and good to now know!
Thanks.
Well I like the results of both look like the non stirred made like fish fossils, the other stirred typical cell results. Awesome vid :-)
Stirring it in I was told will give you much smaller cells , while not stirring gives larger more unusual shaped cells. This proves that lesson perfectly.
I like both and they go together side by side beautifully.
Beautiful! Thank you for these instructional videos! Again I must comment that I enjoy SO MUCH that there is no talking!!!
Thank you for such a great demo, it's so helpful to see how differently they turned out.
I think I'll be stirring my silicone in every time now.Beautiful results!!💜👍
I love them both equally. They both have devastating appeal and formidable charm.

Great test!!! Beautiful!! ❤🎨🖌 Thanks for sharing your art. ❤
Nunca!!! Nadie había hecho esta comparación. Muchas gracias.

Thank you very much for the comparison. I am a beginner and know there are people that would buy either one. This gives me many ideas to work on.
Both are so unique & gorgeous. Im partial to more cells but love both xo
What a great demo for us. Thank you for doing it!
Thank you for sharing this test. Both turned out awesome, each in their own way 😃 ! Very informative & educational.
Love this comparison video! Beautiful!
It is even more interesting to compare two slightly different technics. Excellent.
Either effect is amazing, depending on the type of cell growth you're trying to achieve, I guess. Thank you for the experiment. I gleaned some wonderful new information from this video.
Thank you! I actually like the non-stirred version better, I think!
Thank you so much for your videos. Very inspiring
It's like a leaf... or a tryphobes nightmare
Both so beautiful... but the stirred one full of cells is my fav 👍
WOW! Thank you for that demonstration. Very informative.
I'm learning so much thru your tutorials..thank you for every post
I love the stirred one, reminds me of the interconnected-ness of roots or some huge organic organism 🥰
Good demo! I can see in the non-mixed silicon oil pools in certain areas allowing cells whereas the mixed one has more uniformly distributed cells.
Thank you for the comparison. Another good learning technique for different results.👍
I def prefer the non-stirred version, so much more interesting! Thank you!
Fascinante. Os resultados são bem visíveis. Adoro esse tipo de células. Muito obrigada pela explicação. Forte abraço.
I totally thought 1 on left would have more cells but both look awesome! I gotta try stirring my paint w/silicone as I havnt been doing that! Thanks!!!
always loved sap green in my paintings..its so versatile in art for foliage & other applications. I Love your work...

Also *KY jelly in drops* which isn't 100% dimethicone like the coconut. Love that coconut smell =)

I like the fact you did a pair 👍
Beide, ....einfach nur wunderschön, vielen Dank.
I must say, that I love the one that you stirred 💜
Excellent video... both pieces are beautiful
Appreciate this comparison very much. Quite educational.
Interesting experiment.....interesting result.....both cool pics.... I can't decide - some days I prefer cells , other days....no cells
Very interesting. I like them both. I guess it depends on what design one is going for.
You get more cells if you stir the silicon in! I like both! looks great! another great way is to splash fine silicone.
Wow! Stirred, for sure. Gorgeous.
Could've stopped at 4:15 and still had a pair of masterpieces
For me it's at 5:02
krass....beide Versionen haben ihren Reiz. Danke für den Vergleich, herzlich, Lina

BEAUTIFUL! 💓💓💓
Fascinating comparison, thank you for inspiring us!
The outcome was beautiful
it looks like a beach with the sand on the right blending into some greenery and palm leaves leading to an ocean reflecting an orange sunset
Put the colour in the glass with the same order but different colour.. pour in the same kind Canvas.. in the end.. too many beautifull coloured shape showed.. awesome..
I'm watching these videos before I try one, but it occurs to me that putting pushpins into the corners on the back of the frame might be handy?
I like the not stirred one. Very pretty.
Wow, can’t even believe how alike they look👍🏼
love the mixed silicone one!
Nice comparison! They are both beautiful!
Very cool experiment! I like both of them. Guess it all depends on what you want.
Thank you so much!!! Very cool results!!💜
I Like it.Good!💗💗
Great video and beautiful channel, but I have trypophobia and at the end I almost DIED.
God, I’m still shivering.
I think both are beautiful...I learned something
Pozdrawiam.

Very beautiful painting
It's a bit surprising that you didn't add, but not stir, in the individual portion cups. The variables are endless.
They’re both amazing but I prefer the left because of the larger cell grouping and size since it wasn’t stirred and didn’t mix all the way in with all the paint like the stirred did
They look good together with the unstired one above the stired one
Both are beautiful!
I like them both.
Fantastic. Did you use floetrol, glue or water? What is your recipe per color, please?
he said in other videos 1 part ink 1 part medium 1 part water
Very interesting comparison, thanks!
While what you do is absolutely amazing I enjoyed the not stirred more.

Loved them both. Thank u for your video
My God! This is beautiful!!!!!
Interesting the difference to stir or not to stir makes. Both work.
Liked both actually! Get more cells with stirred silicon.
What media is used? I love the transparency of the colours and really liked the non-stirred one even before the cells!

Beautiful, very tropical 😎
