  • Terrence Howard BACKS Katt Williams And Reveals Why He Left Hollywood
So it looks like Katt Williams gained another supporter and it’s none other than Terrence Howard who is now spilling the tea on how he got fed up with Hollywood trying to put him in a dress…
According to Terrence, Hollywood is really out here trying to strip Black men of their masculinity and he’s throwing shade at the industry,
claiming they accused him of being hard to work with just because he wasn't down for playing certain kinds of roles.

Terrence Howard and Katt Williams don’t have to humiliate themselves by wearing a dress to prove they’re great actors. They’ve proved it time and time again. All respect to them.

I met TH on Christmas Day back in 2007. I was bartending at a small historic inn in Philly (Valley Green Inn) and he walked in on a whim (w/o a reservation all by himself, looking like he just got finished from a hike or a run.) I just happened to walk up from the back to see if we had any reservations coming in. Everyone always wants to sit in the front near the fireplace, so I was kinda dead back there, besides making my fellow servers their tables customers drinks. Anyway, he asked for a table, and bc we were a super small restaurant, we really didnt have any walk ins coming in on a holiday, only reserved tables (but we could always make exceptions for a table of 1)
My hostess that day was pretty rude to him, and I felt bad for the guy, so I said, "I'll take you at the bar, Sir."
He gladly obliged, and followed me back, taking off his coat & his hoodie - and then I saw those eyes and instantly knew it was him.
I couldnt believe it- he was the coolest, most well spoken, world traveled person I've ever met. Everyone was soo jealous that I actually got to serve him & hang out with him.
I didnt hound him or ask him about Hollywood or anything, just treated him like a regular person. We talked about history, like about the park where I worked, bc it is really immersed in alot of that area of Philly & its colonial history, etc. He was so versed & knowledgeable about the most random things, it was impressive.
He was even chatting up my other tables, just a very pleasant, genuinely nice dude. After he was finished, he asked for a pen. He signed the extra paper from his check really sweet, like Merry Christmas, thank you for wonderful service and treating me so great. I was floored. I still have it to this day.
My point to this all is that when he speaks, i listen, and i believe him. Every word. Him & Katt, both.

Martin Lawrance was never really good to begin with. He was hyped by those who put him in a dress and try to have him copy Eddie Murphy. There never was any substance that he could rely on to put his foot down and keep his pants on. Hence it was so easy for them to end him.
It's similar to Howard. Let's be honest, he wasn't that good to begin with. So he had no foundation to stand on and negotiate terms.
Katt on the other hand always was good. He worked hard to build a base of his own over many years, which is why he was able to perfom in Hollywood and keep his pants on. When he went to hollywood, he already had a strong following and many years of stage experience.
I'm sure that Katt is well aware, that failures who never put in the hard work are now trying to ride his tail coats to cast their failed careers in a new light, that they don't deserve.

Then he ventured off and started his own call Funnybone Entertainment in california. And of course he brought a lot of talents with him. Do you remember Shane light skinned guy and Gary Owens they were all on the comedy circuit just getting started. And Katt and Lunell, we all did shows that was small time Im not a comedian Im a singer so I performed at the shows Katt and my brother and Lunell did. We all did a show in seaside California called blackknight Entertainment . Katt was really sweet to me. He and my brother still keep in touch. My brother lives in Vegas . So when Katt's in town, he keeps in touch. Katt is real down to earth dont believe what the media says about him. I pray for his safety cause the industry is no joke. Actors in Drag is a tradition that runs back thousands of years and across cultures... and it's mostly (though not always) rooted in the fact that women were explicitly forbidden to act. Thus men had to take the female roles.

It's not "black men". That's part of the programming. Notice how all these internet shows are trying to portray it like that. Curious, isn't it? No mention of the fact that white men have been slowly emasculated, demonized and marginalize in shows for years, going all the way back to the 60's. It works, too. Where are the Humphrey Bogarts and John Wayne's of today?

You have to keep your integrity to be a good person & that is the first thing Hollyweird tries to strip you of. They want a puppet not someone with morals. Terrence Howard also super smart & is a very educated. I believe without Googling him he's an engineer or something in STEM. He's really a renaissance man because he's a great reader of literature, knows so much hstory, is wonderful at math & science STEM and is spiritual. He is compassionate, an observer, a seeker, a great listener & a leader. He is so well-rounded with his education and so intellectual. Which is why he can empathize with Katt Williams because they are very similar.

That's not what I heard. Monique was yelling at everyone and would show up late to the set for the movie: the help, so she was recast with Octavia Spencer. Who ended up winning an Oscar and becoming a huge star..I'm sick of ppl making excuses for why a star that was big in Hollywood, ain't big no more. Monique won an Oscar and got big headed. Katt got into trouble with the law way too much. When does responsibility actually go into effect.

I try to support Black actors and their films, no matter their beliefs. I gave up on Hollywood treating Black actors fairly when they wouldn’t award Denzel for TURNING INTO MalcolmX, but awarded him for a murderous dirty cop. Wouldn’t award Haile for portraying Josephine but once she got ghetto and naked she got rewarded. I am happy if they’re happy, but the ish gave me pause

That is EXACTLY the line that they use to convince to go against your beliefs/morals. I used to do acting, and I had a producer try to get me to go aginst what I believe for a role, and I said, "Nope, Im sorry, but I can't." He told me, "All of the greats do it. You are going to have to compromise in this business if you want to make it." I looked at him like he was crazy and said Well i won't compromise, and what I believe is what I believe. So, if I do make it, it's going to be because I stood on my integrity and beliefs and walked away.
