I really like this video and that you included a lot of Beth's successes and that you showed that you stopped to watch her sometimes that was really awesome.
Awesome!! This is my wife's hometown and I've been loving riding there with my son the last couple summers. Been meaning to message you to see if you've been out there yet. Merry Creek is just phenomenal!! I had a hard crash at the spot 5:05 minute mark this summer - face-planted into the dirt beside the rocks (so lucky!). Went back a few days later and my son's buddy came up short on the ramp at 15:00, bike went into the front/bottom of the landing area and he did his best scorpion impersonation into the dirt on top (gave me a heart attack!). It was a tough couple days! Haha. Kudos to Beth for doing Captain Kangaroo.. it's no joke!! We'll be back though! The workmanship of the bridges/ramps/etc. is just so amazing!! Next time you're in "the Gar" you have to try Grandiflorum and/or the Awakener up the Hall Road in Robson. Super fun too!!
Great video and amazing trail!! You all are my favorite MTB channel. You always put up such great content. I really loved the pov editing between both your cameras. Amazing work!
Great Video. Really like seeing footage and hearing the commentary from both cameras over the same sections. Gives a different perspective on how each rides the same section of trail
I like this trail better than your first one. Definitely big props to Michelin tires for keeping the rubber side down, grippy as heck. You guys killed this one.
You must have some incredible parents/friends to be able to go on trips like this together. We have two (small) kids, and if we get even a single evening together per 3 months it's very lucky.
FWIW, Do what you can to change that, if at ALL possible, as fast as possible. Even a few hours alone time weekly NOT talking about the kids is important or every other week to keep perspective.
It’s true, we’re very fortunate to have parents who are pumped and able to look after their grandkids. We do drive 4 hours to meet them every time though haha.
The surroundings are pretty while riding. It's fantastic to see you sprinting. I'm glad to subscribe to your great channel. From Woongkham, a South Korean UA-camr. 🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍
Great video! Captain Kangaroo is a great trail. Glad you had a chance to ride it. You keep mentioning Rossland, so if you ever head back out here let me know and I can show you some of the other gems we have here! Keep up the great content.
Yeah, that's a sweet trail. Long climb, but such a perfect pitch it never really tires you out too much so you still have energy for the sweet descent. Nice to see you in my neck of the woods, can't wait to see you hit my hometown trails in Rossland. Although you also missed a few other good trails between Revy and Rossland. You should stop in Roseberry and hit a trail called Butter next time through the Sloan Valley.
Howdy man, do you still use a GoPro Hero 4 with a little deadcat on it, on a single axis gymbal? I'd love to know! Your audio and your video are SO SO CRISP and clear!
You'll be welcome back. We don't mind the tourists here, and there are so many good trails in Rossland and surrounding area it never feels too busy. Although I will enjoy our tourist free ski hill on powder days for this one winter!
You going over one of the wooden steep features "Sick" ... Beth on the same feature "AHHHH" .... If you ever come to Australia make sure it's not summer (your winter) as we have a high % of venomous snakes in the top 10 around the world
I’m with Beth on my dislike/fear of snake. I ran over a Rattler that was sunbathing in the middle of the trail. That thing jumped up and was pissed off for about 5min after that. That was possibly the scariest experience ever. I had never seen a Rattler in the wild to this point of my life!
Awesome Video! :-) Could you please share what kind of chest harness you are using? My GoPro Chesty can not handle the Noir Matter Quark + Hero8 without flopping all the time ... which the stabilization can not handle ...
I just discovered Merry Creek a couple months ago. As a Newbie I totally enjoyed it. However I did not go down Captain Kangaroo I went up and down Mr Green Jeans.
I can tell you it wasn't last week, LOL. I'm from Rossland and riding pretty much shut down about a month ago for any of the higher elevation trails. Although I think the valley bottom trails might still be rideable now as there has been minimal snow in the past two weeks.
I visited the Kootneys 6 times this summer and rode that trail about 7 times and I love that climb and decent combo. I found out something interesting that the person who built Captain Kangaroo is a female which is something you don’t hear about much, and I thought if this is the level the Ladies are building then let’s get more women out there building. Kick ass trail!!! Shout out to the girls.
Looks like a great trail. I assume this is on the UA-cam side, but even though this streamed at 1080P the compression was so bad it was almost unwatchable. Like an 8 bit FPS
I think we got clickbaited a little bit. The "mistake" was leaving Revelstoke too late to get to Rossland, and having to stop in Castlegar for the night.
Hello people who see this comment. I have a problem with importing GoPro videos into DaVinci Resolve 17. It seems when I import these MP4 files, Resolve adds a ton of contrast making color correcting really hard even though I have set my GoPro to Flat. However, I just tested an iPhone video and that imported fine. I currently use a MacBook Pro 2020. Let me know if you know how to solve this problem. Thanks!
first I'm jealous that you have so many cool trails to ride, second that your lady rides with you, mine isn't interested. I think the GoPro footage is better without the gimbal
Beth is riding sooo good!
Awesome to see her progression.
This trail looks like super fun, great job riding it blind
I love it when you just stumble across a gem like this.
12:03 - I love this part - down the rocks, across the wood bridge, then back up the rocks with just enough - Excellent riding!
Sweet video mate, wasn't gonna go riding till Friday but this makes me wanna get out there tomorrow. Cheers!
I love how he talks during his ride it makes it way more entertaining
I really like this video and that you included a lot of Beth's successes and that you showed that you stopped to watch her sometimes that was really awesome.
Thanks! Beth’s been killing it this season with her progression.

Watching this was a mistake, now I’m stoked to ride but all our trails are slush.

Looks like an awesome trail, gotta make my way up to BC soon...

i picked up the 661 FF w/ MIPS because of this video and LOVE it. had to come back and thank you for the recommendation
I'm also glad you stopped at Castlegar, so we could see that sick video!
Great video! Captain Kangaroo is a great trail. Glad you had a chance to ride it. You keep mentioning Rossland, so if you ever head back out here let me know and I can show you some of the other gems we have here! Keep up the great content.
Videos like this make me want to move to BC.
I love how Trailforks helps me find gems like that...now when/if the border opens next yr...I will have to put it on my to ride list!
This was an entertaining ride thanks for the great video!
Clickbaitish title 😂
Beth is killing it!!!
So sweet trail 🤩 sick video again 🤙
That whole ride looked epic! Good thing you happened to check Trailforks! 🤙🤘
Amazing trail Bro!
I`m confused, great vid but where was the mistake?
Idk. Clickbait I guess
Those trails looked awesome, well jell, better than the 2deg, freezing fog and pitch black here in the UK. Keep making this awesome content guys. Thx.
Wow, amazing and great riding skills. I was moving in my chair together with your turns! Thanks for sharing.
Sweet sweet sunshine. Greetings from cold and wet Finland where we have like 3 hours of day light.
Love you videos!! It’s cool to see MTB POV mixed with cinematic shots!! I love the spots you ride and who you ride with! Keep up the good work!
Yo you guys happened across a gem of a trail! Great riding too 🤙🏼

Such great trails up there. Jealous. from the Bay Area in California
You certainly sold me on a micro spline silent hub for my Levo. Ha!
LOL, yeah that thing was loud. I was relieved when he'd start pedaling again.
Wow! This trail looks awesome! Thanks for the video! Nice work!
I just ordered 661 DBO Pads for me after hearing great things. Best Pads for sure!!
Those trails looked sick! It would have been interesting to see what Crazy Mary had to offer. Maybe another time
Great vid, trail looks sick! Didn't see any mistakes...except for the title.
Ûnbelievable trail and awesome footage, keep it up!
Wow! That looks like a perfect, supernice trail!
Still waiting for the video on Rossland trails!
Amazing video dude!! I was getting bored because nobody else had posted
Howdy man, do you still use a GoPro Hero 4 with a little deadcat on it, on a single axis gymbal? I'd love to know! Your audio and your video are SO SO CRISP and clear!
I keep hearing what I think is a "pobblebonk" when the gopro does that muffled knock.
If that is your favourite kind of riding you need to hit the Ottawa area and Valle Bras de Nord. You will love it.
This looks awesome! Can't wait for the border to open next summer (hopefully), as we don't live that far from here!
You'll be welcome back. We don't mind the tourists here, and there are so many good trails in Rossland and surrounding area it never feels too busy. Although I will enjoy our tourist free ski hill on powder days for this one winter!

Tasty lookin trails! And another great video! Cheers 🤘☺️👊
Hi I live in Rossland
Hay isn't that BCpov's trail he built? I think that one drop was called "Yukan do it".
It’s captain Kangaroo a Castlegar trail a sweet ride
Sick! Good riding and awesome trail!
Looks super fun
Pretty gnarly trails you’ve found there

The only mistake I picked up on , is Beth's rear hub is soooooo much cooler than yours Ryan , because it is silent !
Awesome trail.Love it.👍
My wife hates skinnies just as much as yours! Sick trails and great riding.
Nice. How's Beth enjoying that M4?.. I have one on order and hope to be getting it soon 👍
Checking in from Connecticut where snow is on the ground and real feel of 18 degrees not good wish I could ride
you still using the chest mount? is this superview, or linear with horizon?
Sweet trial wish I could hit it
I just discovered Merry Creek a couple months ago. As a Newbie I totally enjoyed it. However I did not go down Captain Kangaroo I went up and down Mr Green Jeans.
I like it how the trail had so many rocks and skinnys since I kinda like skinnies
Sweet video but was your headset okay?
Another great video! THX
Funky trail! I like all the skinnies
Hi man that’s sick your content is awesome
aha sick i lived in Rossland as well as Castlegar. Unreal places, best trails and deepest pow.
Trail looks amazing need to visit Castlegar... why not tighten your headset on the trail?
Beth is such a trooper! Spoil her every chance you get bro
Looks like you are riding with some HUGE flat pedals..what kind are they?
Do you know when you guys shot this?
can you do superview instead of wide on the camera?
Love ur vids
This looks like a GD blast.
I'm so glad we get to see Beth's point of view, she is MUCH closer to my skill level haha
Oooo I’m early! This makes me want to go ridding but all of the good trails in my area have about a foot of snow!
Ride anyway
@@Safewoood That would be an interesting video 😂😂
Next time ride Wings of Mary when you get to the bottom of Captain Kangaroo, then you’ll get your “Happy Finish”
When did you record this? Sitting at home in Camrose, in "not lockdown" and a foot of snow and fighting the urge to jump in my car right now.

Castlegar, BC.
Craziness, this my back yard. I am from Nelson.
anyone else notice the camera was on a slider on the intro sequence?
I crashed so hard on the jump at 15:04

Ya UA-cam really destroys the quality at 1080p or below, unfortunately.
Ayyy more quality content
Clickbait title?
Nice riding!
How long did it take u to get up there? How many feet/meters of ascending?
Thanks 🤙🏼
Greets from Berlin City 😎
The climb is about 650m. I've done it twice, once in 1h20m, the other on 1h35m. Speaking as an active 50yr old MTB'er.
Awesome time, thanks for replying ;)
Where exactly is the mistake? Anyone?
I think we got clickbaited a little bit. The "mistake" was leaving Revelstoke too late to get to Rossland, and having to stop in Castlegar for the night.
no mistake here, just a badazz trail that i want to ride really bad now!!
Great video! There was no need to clickbait us tho. :(

You can but it will rattle the fillings out of your teeth. Also full susp is a little more forgiving with mistakes
