This one has the potential to become Jawa's highest selling bike! I hope Jawa introduce an option of a turn by turn navigation pod in the future! But, even now an excellent VFM bike! Well done Jawa👏🙂
This might be the first time I'm attracted to any Jawa or Yezdi bike. This finally looks like a well built, finished and strong product and all the design elements now seem to have fallen into place. Great job Classic Legends and now just nail the service experience which will make your sales fly. Everyone is rooting for you, except many of your existing customers who are disappointed by various factors so maybe make things right with them as well. We really want you to do well.
Is there a performance benefit to having dual exhaust on a single 350, or is it more for looks ? Strange location for oil fill access as it looks like it is cut out of the sump guard....
The drop in power is disappointing, I’ll wait for the review. Hoping I’m wrong. Why aren’t they doing something new with the Yezdi Roadster. That bike has potential.
Among all the videos of this bike's launch this video is clearly the best. One thing about the bike is that except the base variant, all the other variants price overlap with RE Classic or Meteor. I hope this is a great bike so that it gives tough competition to RE and more competition is always better for the customer. But given the popularity of RE IMO most Indians would probably choose it over this one.
My first thought were that it looked like scrambler. Fit n finish looks good in video for now. All jawa needs now is good marketing and service network.
@Powerdrift when are you doing a full review of the bike? I am planning to buy 350cc bike and confused between Jawa FJ42, Triumph T4/speed 400 or Honda RS 350 (any other bike suggestion also welcomed). Price is not a concern if its value for money. My riding is mostly is 80-20 city - highway. Pillion comfort and convenience also important with good power - 27bhp onwards only. Pls suggest
The tank looks like a Ducati Scrambler, but the body looks like a Honda Rebel. I ride a Rebel 500 abroad (costs 2x), but this looks even more premium... as Rebels front mudguard and many fairings are plastic, while this is full metal. I love that it has a longer wheel base, and exposed forks similar to a rebel. That said, I think the old oval tank of the original 42, and more minimalism would've looked nicer. I'm not a fan of the short tank and brushed aluminum panels / mudguards... It suits the brand, being inspired by spacecraft, but a simpler tank and single tone colors would've looked much nicer to me. I would also change it to straight pipes - looks more masculine, better for saddle bag mounting, and a bit more comfort for pillion rider.
The quality should be better than the erstwhile models and spares should be slightly durable. This liquid cooled 29 bhp 6 speed beast can drink RE classic series as morning tea
Jawa.... The finished and looks of the bikes were quite unique and eye-catching indeed but in my honest openion what is lacking was the sound of the engine don't seems to be quite refine and impressive...
I wanna go for the Jawa 350 but now im confused if jawa will update the classic too with front 41mm forks and led light too? I need some advice if it's a good bike to go for.
Jawa 42, bobber all are good looking cute bikes, but very sensitive machines to keep. Reliability aspect needs more attention not reduced power for refinement. Anand Mahindra should ride a Jawa 42 for long routes or keep for Atleast one year to understand the customer needs and wants related to reliability.
Firstly why key fob is not at top Secondly why Jawa has stuck with same design at panel where 42 is pasted & why same tail design. If this things could have changed this bike looks more superb
Don’t buy JAWA or yezdi.. they are only for looks , under the hood it’s worst engine .. its pain in A to run these bikes in city traffic .. you need to gear shift even for 10kmph , can’t run 2nd gear, can’t cruise more than 80 on highway and mileage is only max 32 on highway & 28 in city . I Bought this bike 2019 dec , I have changed Every part with in 4.5 years , on top of it service centers are pathetic , they don’t know to fix any issue and charge 5000 per minimum service , it will be double 10000 per alternative service after 2 years . Do not buy for looks , they don’t have resale value also , can’t get spares , no outside mechanic can fix due unavailability of parts in open market . I spent extra 70000 on service and parts in last 3 years .
