Cocaine and Abel (Bridge City Sessions live version is my fav) The Recluse Dahmer in Hollywood Murder at the Bingo Hall Dreamer Etc etc etc. Danny/Amigo is THE BEST. One of the best, most unique live shows you’ll ever see. He’s a fantastic human being. I’d climb mountains to see him live. Again. And again. And again. 🖤♥️🖤
I have always described art as any medium that makes me feel what inspired the artist. Very few songs have ever made me feel like it was written for me. For exactly what I was going through. This song is art, and I can't believe I'm not the only one who has felt this.
@@donniedollarhidejr.2766 I gotchu, I was like I couldn't find anything about that online. But for sure it feels like something Tarantino might make a movie about. With like multiple side story lines that come together in the end like Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs
I am so grateful I'm in the top 100 of people who listened to this first. This is absolutely amazing. I have been waiting for this album and I knew there's no way I could be disappointed in anyway but this is just 🔥🔥🔥
This is definitely a song of intended revenge to the murderer of a daughter. "...a drop for every hour she'll _never_ dance... hide a piece in every city she'll _never_ see" definitely implies that "she" is dead. 1:22 "I never thought there'd be a day I didn't get to hold my daughter..." 2:32 "...I know that this won't bring her back..." It's from the perspective of the father of a serial killer's victim, who received a letter from the killer after his daughter was murdered.
@@eugenecaudill5361 This song and "Better Way to Fry a Fish" are written from the perspective of the father of one of Albert Fish's victims, and tell the tale of him kidnapping Albert Fish and getting his revenge for murdering his daughter.
You’ve turned off comments on like this entire album which I’m bummed about but honestly man, you went from a guy with a banjo to a composer. This album is awesome.
Surprised no one has really clarified this in the comments, but this song and the other song from the album "better way to fry a fish" are about serial killer Albert Fish.
@@eugenecaudill5361 song quotes him. "None of us are saints". Also the following song that ties into it is called "better way to fry a fish". The song is about someone's daughter being killed by someone else and the parent of that daughter wanting revenge. Fish sent letters to the parents one of his victims, named Grace. The song references a letter. This is what he's most well known for. Grace was his most well known victim as well. Albert Fish is an interesting serial killer, and one of the darkest I've learned about. I suggest you learn more about him if you haven't.
@@eugenecaudill5361 Really? In my estimation, Kemper is one of the most fascinating serial killers, but not one of the darkest, inherently. Perhaps I don't see him as dark, because he's been very forthright in interviews about his thought processes and such. Fish is far, far more demented than Kemper, imo. If you want to hear about some demented bastards, look up Andre Chikatillo and Luis Garavito.
fry that goddamned Fish and burn him to a crisp, I say! this song is so chilling, I can't get enough of it. It's made me cry and furious and everything in between. beautiful work, and as always delivered so passionately you can't help but get riled up along with him.
Words can not express how much I love this mad man and his music
Absolutely great song. Just found him. Got any other songs you can recommend.
I recently discovered him after seeing them open for Flogging Molly.
MY GOD. I cannot stop listening - this song in particular

Hands down the best song of the album for me
Absolutely!
This by far the standout track to me from this album. He writes the songs my little black heart sings to itself at night
The first time I heard Amigo The Devil was this song driving home from work at like 1am. I legit had to pull over.
Written by Tarantino, Performed by Amigo The Devil.
Goosebumps, man
Like actually written by Tarantino or just Tarantino movie vibes?
@@MrAvoltz Is like it would be amazing if Tarantino would write some lyrics for Amigo The Devil.

Literally that was my first thought too
Definitely the best song on this album. The emotion he was able to convey in his voice truly is amazing.

Man, this guy is amazing... I hate I only found him 3 months ago!!!!!
one of my favorites off the album out of a long list of favorites off the album.
this song... nothing else. this. song.
This man is a genius
This song is powerful. If someone ever harmed my daughter, words cannot even begin to describe what I may do to them.
I took this song as him eviscerating someone his significant other cheated on him with. Never really thought about it this way.

I took it as a father taking revenge on his daughter's killer
Full band show tonight 🔥🔥🔥

I don’t understand how Albert didn’t die of infection. He had that fascination with sticking needles inside his pelvis.
