Wil Myers is good, and the trade is not lopsided, but still pretty bad. Turner should be a key cog in an amazingly versatile and explosive Nationals batting order, while Rizzo helped the Cubs break the curse.
I don't think that can be put on here based on the fact of the reasoning. It was long thought that 2002 was going to be the Expos last season in baseball. They were, very surprisingly, in playoff contention. Colon was a great starter at that juncture in his career. Montreal makes that deal not based on the talent they were giving up but the fact that getting to the playoffs in their projected last season was worth it.
John Durann 1. Mike Piazza Last pick in MLB draft(62nd round) Got drafted because his dad was close to the dodgers and forced them to pick him. Now in the Hall of Fame
dixmontal in the long run it was a bad trade. At the time bagwell was far down the depth chart behind Scott cooper who was ranked higher at the time. Also, Andersen helped get them to the playoffs which is what he was acquired to do. Hindsight is 20/20. Sometimes a premium price is required in order to win now.
Baseball Elite At the time Templeton was the far superior player. His knees killed him. Still led the league in intentional walks, multiple times, as a Padre. As a Cardinal, was the first player ever to get more than 100 hits from both sides of the plate in a single season. Whitey herzog traded him after he flipped the bird to the home fans.
Not sure about the Ozzie trade. Garry Templeton was a star for the Cardinals and actually was a better all around player than Smith. But Ozzie gained his reputation defensively.
What about Brandon Phillips? Literally 2 teams give up on him. He was originally drafted by the Expos but traded to Cleveland and then traded to the Cincinnati Reds a few seasons later. Phillips would win a Gold Glove and became a star with the Reds. The Indians and Expos give up on him way too early
The trade for Cabby was not 6 no name players...Tigers gave up Andrew Miller who is now one of the best relief pitchers in the game. Florida just didn't wait on him
Adam Hupp I'm pretty sure the narrator said 6 players who never made an impact on the Marlins. Andrew Miller and Cameron Maybin were top prospects, but never panned out like they were supposed to in the Marlins, and Burke Badenhop was just an average relief pitcher. Frankie de la Cruz and Mike Rabelo both have negative career WAR's
Mike Rabelo was a catcher and part of the trade. He now manages Single A Lakeland for the Tigers. I saw Dontrelle pitch before the Tigers let him go. He looked pitiful.
The Mets had Bautista for a couple minutes, we had Carlos Beltran, we had Justin Turner, Carlos Gomez. They also had Nolan Ryan, and they traded away Tom Seaver, they never signed back Daniel Murphy I COULD GO ON with all the good players the Mets had. But I've gotta say the Dickey trade was a great trade for Syndagaard
Yeah they're pretty bad, but in Nolan Ryan's case the problem was the return however. It was complicated but at least the Mets won a ring with him before that happened.
dixmontal Davis was supposed to hit 40 dingers and lead the Os to a World Series. He got injured out of the gate, and the orioles end up last. World Series with him? Last place with our? Must be an MVP. And all three were All Stars. Finley won three gold gloves. Shilling is HOF material. And Harnish wasn’t bad.
The miggy trade should be much higher. Andrew Miller, Cameron maybin and the other 4 players never did anything in Florida, while the tigers got: a triple crown winner. 2 time MVP. 4 batting titles. Best opposite field hitter of all time. Best hitter of this generation hands down, top 5 right gander ever
Still can't believe the Dodgers traded away Pedro Martinez straight up for Delino Deshields. Then again, the 90s Dodgers were an organization with a front office that constantly didn't know what they were doing. Trading away Mike Piazza? The hell?
1966 Reds trade Frank Robinson to the Orioles thinking he's getting to old. Frank proved them wrong by winning the triple crown and the 1966 World Series MVP when Baltimore clinched its first World Series. Baltimore would also win the 1970 World Series against Cincinnati as well as the 1969 and 1971 pennant.
No. All I do is stay up and see if I can get there 1st, but if I can't. I'm not first. I also only play video games and watch anime. JK I close my eyes and think about random thoughts. It's calm and relaxing.
in 1991, the Astros traded Glenn Davis to the Orioles for Pete Harnisch, Steve Finley and a pitcher by the name of Curt Shilling. Davis went from being one of the top sluggers in the NL to a bust as an Oriole, hitting only 24 HRs in 3 seasons and then was out of baseball for good. Meanwhile, Harnish won 95 more games pitching, Finley hit 299 more HRs, and Schilling had a Hall of Fame career, helping the Red Sox and Diamondbacks win the World Series. Finley was also a member of the championship winning Diamondbacks.

Ryan Rios but the real sweetener in that trade was the orioles getting rid of Pedro Strop. “How about a trade? We’ll give you Francisco Rodriquez for Jake Arrieta.” “No deal. Unless you take Pedro Strop too” “No. Jake for K-Rod even up.” “Cash for Strop” “We’re not going to give you Cash for Strop what are you crazy?” “No. Well give you cash to take Strop.” “It’s probably a bad deal. But, fine. Whatever.”
Winter of '71: Houston sends Joe Morgan, Jack Billingham, Denis Menke, Cesar Geronimo, and Ed Armbrister to Cincinnati for Lee May, Jimmy Stewart, and Tommy Helms. The results? The Reds win at least 5 NL West titles, 3 NL pennants, and 2 World Championships. The Astros hovered around .500 for most of those seasons, and finished last in "75, 43 games out of first place.
Lou Brock from the Cubs to the Cardinals is one of these. Mr. Brock immediately became a fan favorite in St. Louis winning the '64 and '67 World Series even though he missed out in the '68 World Series while his counterpart Brogolio never caught fire in Chicago and ended up almost like Al Capone.

Heathcliff Slocum to the Seattle Mariners for Jason Varitek and Derrick Lowe at the '97 trade deadline. Lowe became the first starter in League history to win the final game in all three post season series in the '04 Red Sox World Series Run. And Varitek became the Captain for the Sox and the first catcher to catch 4 no hitters from four different pitchers, as well as winning the '04 series with Derrick Lowe, breaking the 86 year World Series drought for Boston.

I knew the Babe Ruth trade was going to be number 1. It's the most infamous trade in MLB history, and the curse of the Great Bambino haunted the Red Sox for 86 years.
Daniel King baseball because if your a catcher bending down the whole game and pitching throwing 90 pitches in one game as hard as you can there's a reason pitchers need a 5 day rest

Tow of the worst trades they left off: the Cubs trading Lou Brock to the Cardinals for pitcher Ernie Broglio, and the Yankees trading Willie McGee to the Cardinals for Bob Sykes.
Hunter Pence to the Giants for 2 boxes of used baseballs. In fact, the Phillies are notorious for one sides trades that go against them. Ferguson Jenkins for a pair of tube socks, and literally getting nothing for Shane Victorino, Jimmy Rollins, and Chase Utley.
As a person who's born and raise in Miami, the Miguel Cabrera trade is the worst trade in history. It's a good thing that Loria sold the team to Jeter and Bush because the fans had enough of him. Hopefully Jeter will do a good job to please the fans.
Worst trade ever was when the Cardinals traded Steve Carlton to the Phillies for Rick Wise prior to the 1972 season. Unlike the Ruth 'trade' to the Yankees, there were no extenuating financial issues involved. It was a real baseball move which the Phillies got the best of.
How about this one from 2002? Bartolo Colon and Tim Drew going to Montreal while Grady Sizemore, Cliff Lee, Lee Stevens and Brandon Phillips go to Cleveland.
It isn't the worst of all time, but it's pretty awful. When the A's traded Huston Street, Greg Smith, and Carlos Gonzalez to the Rockies just to get Matt Holliday, only the Rockies benefited. The A's ended up trading Matt Holiday to the Cardinals later that same year. Carlos Gonzalez ended up almost winning the MVP while playing for the Rockies. It was an absolutely atrocious trade.
Worst trade ever was Cleveland trading Norm Cash to Detroit for Steve Demeter, who only played 4 more games after the trade, while Cash went on to play 15 seasons, picking up a batting title and world series ring on the way.
What about the diamondbacks trading their entire future for Shelby Miller

Blue Jays trading Noah Syndergaard and Travis d'Arnaud for RA Dickey was one of the worst trades.

Dibsinator You forgot Josh Thole
Dibsinator baseball Gods made it up to you with the bringer of rain
Dibsinator .... A trade that still has yet to work out, none of the mentioned players have won a World Series yet
Lou Brock trade was pretty one sided.
Many people consider the Brock trade the most one sided in MLB history. I agree
I am stunned that one didnt make this list.
Cubs traded Brock to St. Louis in 1964 for starting pitcher Ernie Broglio + a couple of other guys.
Was thinking about the Cardinals trading away Steve Carlton for Rick Wise, but the Brock trade was terrible too.
Let's not forget the padres trading trea turner and Anthony Rizzo
Padres got Wil Myers for Turner. Even if you don't think that's even, it's far from lopsided.
Methodz Highlights Padres also traded Corey Kluber
Wil Myers is good, and the trade is not lopsided, but still pretty bad. Turner should be a key cog in an amazingly versatile and explosive Nationals batting order, while Rizzo helped the Cubs break the curse.

Dylan Meltzer well noahs on 6 week DL rn lol and probably wont be back for 7-8 weeks since he cant even throw until those six weeks are done
EthansTv Dickey's not even with the Blue Jays anymore and should retire, whereas Syndergaard's career is just starting.

That trade happened on the day that I was born and I'm an Oriole fan.
Derek Lowe and Jason Varitek for Heathcliff Slocum was a pretty great deal for Boston.

Nolan Ryan was not very good with the Mets. He had no control and was always developing blisters. He did not

It was called the "midnight massacre."
Not for the reds :) who have 2 of the worst trades of all time. Frank Robinson and Christy Mathewson

how about every Blue Jays trade between the 2012 and 2013 season
Glaring omissions: Brpglio for Brock, Slocum for Lowe and Varitek, Andersen for Bagwell, Davis for Schilling and Finley.
What?! How is Ozzie Smith not on this list?

Joe Charboneau, 1980 ROTY with 23 HRs and 87 RBIs. He played 2 more seasons and only hit 6 HRs and 27 RBIs in 70 games.
Do the best NFL player makers
Tow of the worst trades they left off: the Cubs trading Lou Brock to the Cardinals for pitcher Ernie Broglio, and the Yankees trading Willie McGee to the Cardinals for Bob Sykes.

No, you are 3rd
fuck
Hunter Pence to the Giants for 2 boxes of used baseballs. In fact, the Phillies are notorious for one sides trades that go against them. Ferguson Jenkins for a pair of tube socks, and literally getting nothing for Shane Victorino, Jimmy Rollins, and Chase Utley.
Adam jones
Loch Tenticle And Chris Tillman don't forget.

No Jeff Bagwell to the Astros? AUTO FAIL!!!!
You guys are really sucking lately with everything not an odious #1 on your lists.
The Padres trading away Roberto Alomar was crazy. As a Jays' fan I loved it.
Top 10 teams that totally changed their colors in one year
It isn't the worst of all time, but it's pretty awful.

MLB's Top 25 Under 25.
Worst trade ever was Cleveland trading Norm Cash to Detroit for Steve Demeter, who only played 4 more games after the trade, while Cash went on to play 15 seasons, picking up a batting title and world series ring on the way.
