I remember when this happened. I was a senior in high school. We were all shocked and scared. Cassie's story inspired us. That we could ever be faced with having to accept God or die was no longer just a story in the Bible. It was in our face. This was the only time something like that happened while I was in school. The last 5 classes who have graduated high school have had to face horror 10 times worse than this. We don't seem to have the common sense to not let people with guns walk on campus.

I remember this happening as well. I was a sophomore in high school and as soon as it happened there was a group of students that gathered around our flagpole, held hands and prayed. Also, I am drawing a blank on whether it happened for chapel or vespers or both, there was a group of students that acted out this song and it was very touching. I haven't heard this song in a very long time and after hearing this song now, the waterworks are just going strong.

Yes Jesus Christ will save you if you put your faith in His shed blood for the forgiveness of your sins. For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God. Not of works. Trust in the gospel revealed to the apostle Paul for salvation. The gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Trust in His blood.

It did happen. Either Cassie Bernall or Valeen Schnurr were asked if they believed in God, and they said Yes. We don't know who, because everybody in the school were absolutely shitting themselves out of fear. Several students came forward and said they heard one of the killers ask her directly, and he had asked Valeen Schnurr as well, though they shot her, she did not die.

@patmansanimations9718 It actually came out later that Val schnurr was the one who was asked if she believed in God, not cassie... But that was after the book had already came out and the story had gotten around. Still a beautiful message and 1:02 a beautiful song.

@@jennifercleveland5703Rachel Scott was also asked. I think they got the wrong girl when they said it was Cassie. Rachel did say I believe in God when asked. She was outside and not in the library.
