Oh man, poor woman. Beautiful soul. She's a trooper! I found a 19 year old woman in Bismarck outside the apartment laying there passed out. I ran in to grab blankets and picked her up put her in the car and brought her to the bis hospital and waited there until she was admitted and better. Her friends had literally left her because they thought they would get in trouble for underage drinking. I was in disbelief, shocked that her " friends" would even think about leaving her unconscious outside an apartment building where she didn't even live. I know they left her there to be found but damn! What a bunch of 🤬 low lifes to do that. She ended up being 3 times the legal limit. Never said goodbye to her, but I hope she makes better friends these days.
You're a good person, thank you. Someone saved my life in a similar way too. Teens need to be taught that human life is more implant than getting in trouble.
@@TheCatWrangler I don't need recognition. Or to be thanked. But thank you. I'm glad you made it! Yes, I wasn't very happy with her so called friends. The cops would have been a lot more willing to understand that than understand why they would leave her. Merry Christmas/ happy holidays to you.
Call the kids not wanting to ruin their outfit by wearing a jacket on a night out dumb all you want but millions of college students do it every day, I did it when I was a college student, women in cold countries like Russia regularly do it for the sake of fashion, that wasn’t the issue. It was the being passed out on a porch overnight in freezing temperatures. Horrific story that serves as a cautionary tale, but not about wearing a jacket. This is about drinking and the people you surround yourself with. Hard to believe her “friends” couldn’t at least wait until they saw she was inside before pulling off knowing she was drunk smh.
Right! This is a classic story about how the media turns a story into something it's not smh. Do they really think we're stupid enough to think wearing a jacket would have saved her extremities?
Dunno y everyone trying to finger blame her friends after getting drunk and if I had to guess they were probably ALL drunk. Alcohol really dulls the senses for everyone to make poor decisions. Wearing the right clothing for freezing temperatures definitely would have saved her from extensive injuries bit the bigger problem is not feeling that pain from frost bite. Bigger lesson is just not to drink yourself stupid.. Just a bad lesson to learn all around for everyone.
If she was dropped off by her friends, I really hope they weren't driving. Because if you're not sober enough to think we'll just wait until we know she's safe inside, you aren't sober enough to be behind the wheel.
Holy Freeholy I drove a cab for about 2 years and I always made sure late night customers got in their doors, especially women. As much as I hate drunks, it’s just common decency to have a bit of heart. Some people just don’t care enough about others, even family and friends; that’s just a sad fact.
I don’t drink myself - nor do most of my friends that visit. But when boo and I drive them home. We make sure they inside. And no one has ever drunk at my place since we moved in.
Not for nothing but whoever dropped this woman off sucks. It’s literally HUMAN DECENCY to make sure your friends get INSIDE the house when you drop them off.. esp after a night of drinking
To Jaclyn, unfortunately it’s also the responsibility of herself not to get dead drunken. And how responsible can her friends be when they tend to do heavy drinking throughout the nite?
VarinderSidhu ROMANS6 there’s a difference between having a drink or two and getting completely intoxicated “too drunk”.. if you’re driving you’re responsible. Period
I'm sorry, but a jacket wouldn't have changed her situation. She was in the cold for too many hours for even a jacket to have prevented that from happening
Exactly what could have actually prevented this situation is 1. If her friends checked she was inside first instead of just driving away without realising their friend is dying on the cold ground 2. If she didnt drink so much she passed out
It could have helped better who situation like maybe she would recover quickly or the damages wouldn't be as bad as it was now, since having a coat is better than have no coat at all. Also maybe her being warm may have helped her think straight, would have gone to the neighbors. Being cold sometimes you can't think straight, I can't imagine being cold and drunk. I do agree, maybe it wouldn't change the situation, her friend seeing if she got in the house would have made a difference, tho. I have always check if my friends get in the house, esp if it's night and cold.
Waiiiit a damn minute what type of of story is this, this isn’t about not wearing a damn coat this is about HORRIBLE FRIENDS!!!!!!! Nobody made sure this young lady made it INSIDE THE HOUSE!? I mean realistically She could’ve been wearing a coat and sadly this would’ve occurred because her extremities were still exposed!! Her friends failed her! Shame on them…
Dress for the weather is more important than looks. Winter is coming, so I have my winter jacket, my hat, my gloves, and soon have winter tires installed for my van, and snow blowers and shovel including salt ready. It is going to be a cold one, eh. Stay warm, everyone.
thank you, a coat probably might help. but being outside for 9 hours? c'mon now. wrong topic of discussion. she obviously drank too much which clouded her judgement
Breaks my heart for her..we ALL make mistakes; more often as young peopleI I pray that others will learn from hers! Be sober and vigilant...and humble.God Bless each and every one of you! Stay safe and warm:)
That's what I was thinking! Fine if you don't wanna wear a coat but at least wear something warmer than a tube top! There is such a thing as cute winter outfits!
@@SasukeUchiha-oe2nj I got this at first but now its becoming ridiculous. Whats wrong with stating that they dont understand why others do stupid things? If I dont like what "other girls" do im not seeking for attention, its just an opinion.
well why didn't her friends make sure she got in the house safely. And you should still wear a coat because waiting in lines could get u hypothermia anyways
FrEdDiE Lmbo!! Exactly I’m sure this girl had shoes on but still lost her toes so how was a jacket gonna stop her from loosing her fingers after passing out outside for 9 hours lol
i think the problem is more so about the drinking then wearing a coat. being outside that long in -17 degree weather may have still resulted the same way even if she had a coat on. the drinking dulled her senses to the cold and was the main reason she blacked out outside; a sober person would’ve felt the pain and gone inside long before they would catch frostbite
In this -17degree weather, wearing a coat n gloves is a ‘must’. That’s just common senses. Heavy drinking only adds to the problem n dull her senses to the point of danger. She’s just lucky cos she didn’t freeze to death on that nite.
Idk, I once was at a houseparty and had 10 shots of hard liquor, me and 2 buddies passed out in my car for about 2 hours but we all sobered up immediately once the cold weather kicked in at around 5am. Even pass out drunk your body tells you when its freezing
callie cillz that’s what I thought, the drinking was the real problem here. She lost her hands because she was blacked out. If she had been wearing a jacket, the damage would have been slightly less severe but not by much.
The cold wasn’t her problem, it was the fact that she was dropped off and her ride drove off before seeing that she made it inside. Going outside for a short burst in the cold without a coat, you should be fine. Passing out drunk and sitting outside for 9 hours, yeah that’s a problem.
Yep. Don't people wait until they get inside!!?!? This is a common thing. Also if you passed out for 9 hours even with a coat and gloves on there is a very good chance you'd still be dead/and frostbitten beyond saving at -20 degrees. She's very lucky to be alive but I think the real message this story should be sending is... make sure you watch people get inside before leaving them! This happens far too often.
I got roofied and left outside in the winter. These 3 young boys woke me up around 4am and walked me home. I’m so happy I didn’t die in the freezing cold that night.
I can relate to this on a personal level. When I was 4 years old, during late winter it was freezing outside and me and my parents were traveling during midnight. After sometime I refused to wear my jacket and started throwing a tantrum. My parents pleaded me to wear my jacket but I didn't. It's wasn't a big deal until 2 days later I caught brain fever and experienced life threatening situation. My parents used to cry by my hospital bed just praying to God to save my life. To this day I always remember to prioritize keeping myself safe and alert.

Wait, you got brain fever? I don't think that's a thing...? Do u mean you got hypothermia? Or pneumonia? Being in the cold can't actually make you catch a cold, but I'm sure the body can react of its own accord. Also why we're you walking outside in the middle of the night as a small child? @@TheCatWrangler Brain fever is an old term, but yeah it’s a thing. It’s the inflammation of the brain, caused by infection. Sure, you don’t catch a cold by being cold, but cold temperatures weaken the immune system, and that’s how you get sick.
Myself X2 it would be wayyy too hot in a club to wear all of that. I never wear coats on night outs because im only outside for ten minutes and then the next five hours im in a club. You would probably pass out in a club wearing so much clothes.

they do have cute winter clothes but if you're inside a club drinking and dancing it's going to get hot in there and won't want the extra layers on. that's what they mean
Or maybe don't worry as much to impress other people. Lmao. Some of the girls earlier in the video would've said they dress for themselves. Than why not wear a jacket?
I feel bad for her because she went to a party and had drinks before that, passed out outside and got frostbite. Can't believe she was stuck to the ground for NINE hours. Bless her! Stay safe people!
Yes, they're two very different situations. Eventhough I would encourage the girls in the cold to wear a coat, I would definitely advise people not to drink so much that you pass out, in the cold.
Can't relate. If you're Asian and live with Asian parents, you'd know that they would make you wear a jacket or coat regardless of the weather. It could be 100 degrees and they'd still make you wear one.
I don't think it's just about that but about having to take it off when you get inside because you will get hot then having to carry and lug it around and you can forget it on your chair ect. any place
Right? I went out this past weekend. I dressed up a bit but still wore a coat and some cute earmuffs. I didn't even take off my coat inside! So what if it you don't want to hold your coat inside the bar? You'll probably still be trying to warm up inside and keep it on. Or just do what Ariana Grande does and half wear it. Buy some cute ear cute earmuffs, leggings, etc. to wear with your club outfits. I'm super thin and anemic and LOATHE the cold. I wouldn't say it was entire her fault though, and even if it was there's no need to point this out. substance abuse can be a disease, not saying it always is but it can be, to the point of compulsion basically. They were too drunk.

I agree with u. But come on. Where a jacket
Number one rule! When you drop friends off! You make sure they go inside the door.
That’s just me. But it should be a universal rule.

VarinderSidhu ROMANS6 there’s a difference between having a drink or two and getting completely intoxicated “too drunk”.. if you’re driving you’re responsible. Period

This comment section is cringey
I'm sorry, but a jacket wouldn't have changed her situation. She was in the cold for too many hours for even a jacket to have prevented that from happening
Exactly what could have actually prevented this situation is
1. If her friends checked she was inside first instead of just driving away without realising their friend is dying on the cold ground
I feel like with the way she must have been so drunk as well she could have easily forgotten her coat or never put it on properly in the first place
You can't know that. Even if it had saved some fingers, or just thumbs, it would be an improvement.
Dressing appropriately with coat and cloves would have most likely avoided such damage!!

FrEdDiE Same thing I was thinking
FrEdDiE word whatta dumbass lmao
The elephant in the room no one is talking about is the irresponsible consumption of alcohol that leads to such tragic consequences.
i think the problem is more so about the drinking then wearing a coat. being outside that long in -17 degree weather may have still resulted the same way even if she had a coat on. the drinking dulled her senses to the cold and was the main reason she blacked out outside; a sober person would’ve felt the pain and gone inside long before they would catch frostbite
Josh Anderson the news will report anything these days
In this -17degree weather, wearing a coat n gloves is a ‘must’. That’s just common senses.
Heavy drinking only adds to the problem n dull her senses to the point of danger.
She’s just lucky cos she didn’t freeze to death on that nite.
Whoever dropped her off should have stayed until they saw her get inside too
Idk, I once was at a houseparty and had 10 shots of hard liquor, me and 2 buddies passed out in my car for about 2 hours but we all sobered up immediately once the cold weather kicked in at around 5am. Even pass out drunk your body tells you when its freezing

Wow. Tell me how many sober people have gotten frost bite by going out to a club. And then compare that to the number of people who have died or gotten injured from misusing alcohol. Think before you type
Top Comment there can be more than one issue in the world bud
Haley U
Do you have a point or something?
She got frost bite dumbass🤦
She got frost bite cuz she didnt have a jacket and it was super cold bit cuz she was drinking wtf
Hardest part is knowing that you did this to yourself being more responsible and not drinking to the point you black out and sleep outside in the winter
I wouldn't say it was entire her fault though, and even if it was there's no need to point this out. substance abuse can be a disease, not saying it always is but it can be, to the point of compulsion basically. Add in social pressure and the cold and you have an accident waiting to happen. we wouldn't expect a blacked out person to be responsible. It was an accident that could have been prevented by her friends being more responsible. Like whoever drove for example. and I'm sure she no longer drinks. This is coming from a recovered addict.
@@TheCatWrangler So you’re the type of person that has an excuse for everything That’s the problem with people like you these days it’s always somebody else’s fault 🤦♂️
It’s her own damn fault.
moral of the story: drink responsibly.
Wear a coat
dilly24k agreed. Watch a video called Surviving 3 amputations Cameron Clapp. Tell me what you think please, I am interested in your opinion. Thank you
@@happyhorse1028 exact same thing, drink responsibly. apparently he gives lectures to high school kids about alcohol abuse.
dilly24k I didn’t know that he did that. Good on him. I imagine he could start his speech with “I went out one night and got legless. It was great, unfortunately I stayed that way, not so great” I will subscribe to his channel

@Archos Coplin 100% right!
Ok not wearing a coat for 5 mins well you walk to the bar is different than getting blackout drunk and passing out on your porch for 9 hours in -17 degree weather
General Zod I was thinking the same thing !! She literally froze. Those other girls were really cold but not to that extent.
exactly!!!!
Lmao they're just saying to wear protective gear because of this reason
General Zod exactly it wasnt as cold as the -17 girl
General Zod right cause even if she had a coat on she would of still gotten frost bite. She was out there for nine hours
,,I'm so sorry this happened to you. GOD bless you.sweet girl.
Proof that a College Education doesn't necessarily make you smart.
@I sell air very true! I know many book smart people who have Zero common sense and no street smarts 😒😒😒
rose nelson so true because they don't have a common sense class.
I sell air that’s a point
💯
Thats because there not smart they can just remember things and write them on a piece of paper clearly
I wonder if her so called “friends” that dropped her off that night feel any type of guilt because they should feel guilty as hell.
There's no such thing as real friends.
@@ibra4306 their is You just gotta find someone who Isn't using you so they look good. It took me a while to Learn that
The friend couldnt wait like a minute?
She shouldn't of been partying like a dumbass. It's her fault
Don't blame the friends they were probably drunk too and don't remember that night
That’s her fault why would you not wear a coat at -17 degrees
and drink so much that she passes out.
Prohn
She was passed out for 9 hours. A coat wouldn’t have helped her much.
I live there, it sucks. But at least I wear coats and snow pants
Prohn
She never said it wasn't her fault though. She's literally warning people not to make the same mistake.
Orange Kitten true...I meant it as she doesn’t deserve any sympathy because that was just a dumb move on her part anyone with common sense would still put on something at that temperature
She is extremely beautiful and looks like she has a Good heart. May God Bless her!! ❤

So the driver didn’t even make sure she went inside the house, wtff? Even if your someone I just met I always make sure to leave after you’ve already went inside your house.
thats not his job
It’s because you have good manners.
So you’re just not gonna mention the fact that SHE got drunk. The fact that most likely the friend(s) was/were too
I agree with what you're saying. I always think you never know who may be outside waiting for them to arrive. I always wait til the person enters their home before I drive away.
what awful friends to not make sure she got inside safely before driving off. if it weren’t for them leaving she would still have hands and feet
Or if she hadn't got wasted drunk and wore a gloves or mittens. Why do u expect another person to take care of u. It's your damn responsibility.
*Lessons to be learnt.*
1. Don't get drunk in the winter
2. Don't get drunk at all
3. Just wear a damn jacket
4. Have good friends that wont leave you stranded incase you ignored 1-3.
You can get buzzed and have a good time, but if you lack common sense there's a Darwin award waiting for you on the other side.
Shae Annalese Or don’t go out when it’s -17 degrees out
The title should be don't get wasted and pass out in winter ❄️☃🤔
Exactly
Not being rude but when did they say she was drunk
Just plain stupidity!!!! 🙄 I rather ruin my outfit than being in a hospital bed 🙄
Exactly like find some good looking coats to wear
How about the lesson is don’t drink, not just put on warm stuff? Lol, when has anyone drunk been like oh wait, let me put on my mittens lol
