What a crucial conversation, especially the part on Education. It's so crucial to ensure our children are able to engage with the issues of the times after leaving high school. We need to ensure our children get more intelligent at younger ages. That's how I think we can catch up.
I work in higher education, as an Instructional Designer, and my role includes technology integration into Teaching & Learning, but there are a lot of institutional hurdles that make the process quite difficult. So, I am with you Mpho Dagada, we have to improve on our systems. It is shameful that government departments are still so paper-based in this day and age.
I think public education is lacking so much. This whole NSC thing too is also so backwards compared to other qualifications out there. Primary and high school education is not doing so well in terms of curriculum. This is your area of expertise, and I am sure you know what is missing.

South African politicians always talk about how they're about to bring change, but in actual fact, they're doing their best to instill fear of change in us. We think about change, and our first reaction to it is fear.
Our best option is to go for something new now - it's our best bet, and the best thing about it is that we have nothing to lose because we've already lost everything - we're at point zero.

Mpho. I pray that you help the nation by activating the teaching basic politics in schools. Our children are only taught the 9 provinces. They don't even know what a vote is. What wards are? How are they formed and what are they for ?Compared to Bella Bill that will destroy the nation, our children need to know the functions of the government and how to access help from the government.
