Carlsen spent 29 seconds of his time moving the pieces 😊 . If it was online , it would have been an altogether different proposition. Carlsen would have had more time to think.
An interesting fact: If Mr. Boaz hadn't captured Magnus's last pawn and had allowed it to stay for another move (or two), Magnus would have run out of time, and Boaz would have won the game. This is because, theoretically, it's possible to deliver checkmate with just a knight if the opponent has at least one other piece on the board besides the king. However, since Magnus had no pieces left and Boaz only had a knight, checkmate was impossible, resulting in a draw.
The reason why game isn’t automatically a draw when you have a knight and your opponent has a pawn isn’t the theoritical possibility for you to deliver a checkmate (which is possible only with active cooperation of your opponent) but for your opponent to promote the pawn. Game is automatically a draw when you both have one minor piece even though it is theoritically possible to give checkmate with king+knight against king+bishop, which disproves your claim.
@@samyamgirish4338 In this case, Magnus has a King and a Pawn. The enemy has a King and a Knight. Magnus' clock runs out of time. The game still would end in a draw. The enemy has no potential checkmate even if he has sufficient time.
Nah, then the time advantage would’ve been meaningless as magnus would’ve made up the time gap pretty quickly. Basically the draw we got this game wouldn’t have happened since magnus would’ve never been in time trouble.
Is it a rule that you have to press the timer with the same hand you play the chess pieces with? Seems like would be easier if you used both hands. Haha

Yup and not pieces falling down
Because pre moves not allowed in offline chess 😅
If it was on computer or it has 1 sec increment, Magnus would have won for sure

I think (not in this match) but generally it’s possible to deliver a checkmate when the opponent has nothing except king and you’ve only knight?
How can u checkmate with only a knight and a king?

Eventually Magnus had 3 min 30 sec for thinking, including 30 sec for moving.
It was nice for Magnus to remind a CEO of humility.
Over 50 moves in 30 seconds by Magnus.... I do 1 move in that time 🥲
U are noob
@@rajatrawal8213😅
Same here and most of the time is a wrong one 😂😂😂
1 second increment probably could hv been given
That’s what I was thinking, maybe that’s why they put maximum restrictions to see the perfect outcome

Well, the Jwh0 has to win..
Its not that serious it's just for fun
Would be far too easy
it was nice of Mr. Boaz to have given the draw to Magnus
It was a draw anyway, insufficient material.
insufficient material
That was fun to watch.
Hans be like "Proof that Magnus fell off"
I feel like Magnus had way better position 7-8 moves before the end. I feel like he would normally premove the pawns to avoid so many captures.
I have never learned how to play chess, but as a competitive Scrabble player, this is fascinating stuff!
It's not late to learn. Usually, online chess is just a 3 min game
This may end up being the most profitable draw of Magnus' whole career.
unbelievable
It's a Amazing ♥️❤️🥰🥰🌍🌍💯
well done Mr Weinstein!
