holy shit I just died and came back to life. Amazingg, just amazing.
the synth is basically the same, just like alice practice has some of xcuzxmex in it, mercenary has alost the same lead synth as sad eyes. that is crystal castles, it always was like this with some of their songs and there's nothing wrong with it in my opinion.
The whole lead in this track is the reversed lead from sad eyes. Still a pretty good song tho
The repetitive way they make everything is why they're appealing to me. I could always expect something crazy and beautiful from them. From first to last.

I'm probably not the first one to notice this, but after hearing Mercenary and Sad Eyes enough, I realized that Mercenary sounds like Sad Eyes played backwards... so I played it backwards, and sure enough, it is.
Not that this takes away from either song. They're both pretty great.
