Thanks! We are working on it. Apart from subscribing, you can also follow us on twitter.com/theBentoLab for regular PCR tips and subscribe to our newsletter on www.bento.bio/blog/ What's your background? Are you a professional scientist working with PCR? Or are you an aspiring learner?
Is there a breakdown of costs associated with any of the workflows? From the sum of materials for the DNA extraction and PCR as well as including the price of getting it sequenced.
Excellent Q! Something we're working on as a blog post. It depends on what methods you chose + volume/scale + choice of supplier for all the materials. For us, we work around the idea that a sample costs ca £10 / $12 to get sequenced that break down as follows: * £1-3 per sample to it ready for barcoding (DNA extraction + PCR + gel electrophoresis) * £5-7 per sequencing reaction (depending on what company you use)
I loved this series! Hope to see some in lab or more complex experiments in the future.
Thanks! We really enjoyed making this series and we'll definitely show off more demos and experiments soon :)
Love your work, please keep them coming!!!
